Golden Corral Buffet & Grill

Every time me and my family has eaten there, the service has always been excellent and the food was good. I have always got my money's worth and then some. They closed the one down on Roxboro rd in Durham and I don't know why because the service and food was always good. I just wished they would put up another restaurant near me, but i don't mind the drive to hwy 55. See you guys this evening. God bless and keep serving the best food.

This was the worst service. The gentleman, who was our waiter, showed up to get our drink order, drop it off, and never saw him again. There were no mashed potatoes at all. The deserts were limited, and although the food was good, it had the least variety of any that we have been in to date. Oh, and we had to pick thru the plates to get clean ones.

I arrived on Thanksgiving day with my father around 2: 00 pm. When I saw the line out the door and down the sidewalk, I prepared myself for a horrific experience. I was shocked to see how quickly the line moved and we were seated with plates of hot and delicious food in no time! We never felt rushed although I marveled at how fast they turned over tables while we were there. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant. The atmosphere is a bit much with bad kids and rather rude patrons, but they can't really control that. My compliments to the management team and staff for a well run establishment.

Overcooked okra. Steaks were cooked ahead and dry and cold. Service by waitress was good providing us sweet tea. Food was not its usual.

The food is delicious, there is a wide variety of foods to choose from, they have a salad area the desserts are delicious and the service is excellent.

The food here is good for sure. Giving the service and atmosphere a 1 star because we went on a Sunday to enjoy this buffet and things didn't turn out so good. As usual we go straight for the steaks, but unfortunately we didn't enjoy any of the steaks because the guy behind the grill was very rude. He seemed upset and didn't want to deal with people asking him for steak. It almost made you feel like you were taking his food away. When I asked for well done, he would say he had none. I had to ask him, well when will you have. He'd reply he didn't know. Other folks would get steaks that were sitting by the side of the grill for a while, meat was dry etc. People would line up and in some instances he would take his time to attend to them. At times he would ignore them, looking away from the line as if he doesn't see people. Then when he would look at you, he wouldn't greet you or say anything. There shouldn't be people with attitudes serving food, otherwise you ruin peoples meal. We didn't go back to get steak because we didn't want to deal with him anymore. This is the usual guy who is always grilling. If they are short staff, they need more people back there but you can't one guy who is rude servicing people. Management should do something about it. Either hire more folks, or train people not to be rude. I get it, everyone has a bad day, but we have gone there more than 1 occasion and progressively seen this guys attitude get worse over time.

Wanted ribs with no sauce& they were hot, lean & tender. After 7 is the time to go.

I'm writing this as I walk out of this location. I had to cut my meal short because I saw a cockroach crawl from under buffet and then walk around the food trays. Unfortunately I was not quick enough to snap a pic.
When I told staff/manager about it, they didn't seem surprised and I was told that "all kitchens have cockroaches. "

I really like the fact that I'm able to find food that is fairly compliant with the diet I'm on. There's so many wonderful choices for everyone!

Foods were put in odd places. Some items were cold. Some were just of poor quality. Ice cream machine came out like soup. Server was afraid to clear our table, so plates piled up. It's never been great, but for these new prices, it needs to at least be good.

Great Thanksgiving dinner. Super busy but they had the staff in place to deal with the crowds.

Food and selection was outstanding. Prices very reasonable for all you can eat buffet - $17.

It cheaper to take out then stay and dine in the place be packed but still room to get my food and leave no line for take out going in the line is for ppl that want to pay to dine-in i dont ever sit and eat in a take out lady but if i wanted to sit down it a clean and cool place to

I did not go inside (the dining room is open). I ordered a family meal via Grubhub and some items were missing, so I had to get them at curbside pick up. The reason for 4 stars is the Grubhub fiasco, but they were wonderful in replacing the items, identified and explained to me what went wrong -they just did not give me a hard time about it at all. I appreciate that and will definitely order family meals in the future. Maybe directly from them and pickup on the way home.

Service was really bad, the people that are supposed to bring you your drinks were all standing around talking. My wife had to go ask them twice for our drinks. The food wasn't very good either.

We got a Thanksgiving dinner take out order. Considering how many orders these people no doubt had to fill in pretty much no time, it kind of amazes me how good the food was.

Very busy day! Thanksgiving Day! I enjoyed my visit today. I especially enjoyed hearing BUTCH the manager encouraging the staff telling them "Good Job Team.we're doing great. " I was very thankful to have experienced that.warmed my heart. Butch is great and certainly an asset to your team of great folks! Happy Thanksgiving 2021!

Over good food and staff. Waitress was nice and attentive to tables. Restaurant and tables could have been a touch cleaner but it was the lunch rush so not to bad all and all.

Food was nice and hot and delicious. Atmosphere was warm and inviting, clean and they kept the food coming. The table service was very good, so that made tipping no problem. I don't mind a good tip when the service is spot on

I use to work here, I complained once and the manager told me to leave. When he noticed I was gone for good he tried to get me back to work.

Good food but some dishes were clearly rushed and the servers need to be more consistent. Still, I enjoyed myself and the food was good. Definitely good value for the money spent

It was great to be able to sit and enjoy all my favorite food with the variety we all love. Boy it's great to see some of my favorite places back in business again.

Food=5. We pay and have a set, the first waiter ask for the ticket, I tell my lady went to the restroom she has it she'll be out. Then the second waitress cones to the table and tries to take the cutlery, I'm like wait what r u doing then she asks me for the ticket, I said you should probably ask first instead of trying to take something off the table. Then she asks me what are we drinking. Just goes to show some ppl don't need to be in costumer service regardless of how pretty you might think they are.

Always a great experience, buffet is full and fresh at all times food hot and delicious we had a made to order omelet it was amazing, waiter was great always smiling

Good food and good prices! We were too early for the grill in this location, but we still enjoyed it. Loved the employees, they were kind and helpful.

I went to Golden Corral for the first time for the buffet dinner. The food was disappointing without much taste and the meats were dry and over cooked. The salad bar was well stocked. The soft serve ice ream was so soft, half was melted by the time I returned to my table, and without a spoon it is difficult to eat with a fork. I can forgive the food, given that this establishment is not a gourmet restaurant, but an inexpensive fast-food buffet. But, I can't forgive the fact that I barely arrived back home 5 minutes away when I developed stomach cramps and explosive diarrhea. Never again.

This Golden Corral location is under new management, but the service is still acceptable. The food is all right, the most outstanding item are the pork steaks in my opinion. The servers are good, which helps this get a 4-star rating.

Was not very impressed with this Golden corral hello although the wait staff was excellent cashiers were lacks in informing us that the restaurant would be closing 30 min.earlier then their website had stated which was a bit frustrating after being delayed at a local airport only to find out we were rushed to eat and buffets were being cleaned before we had a chance together our orders. Not very impressed at all

Sooo incredibly crowded, only worth the cost (about $15 a person) if you plan on eating a ton. Too crowded and it was difficult to get what you wanted off the buffet just because there were way too many people there. Tried it for the variety but probably will not be returning.

Our friends went there for dinner on Monday 2 weeks ago and some of the food tasted stale. Salad bar had some beans from cans and they were in gel-liked substance. A couple from our group got diarrhea after eating there. Will not go back unless they change.

The food is good for such a massive array of food cooked in bulk. Unlike home cooked or custom cooked food which is cooked to your specifications and has your preferred spices etc.added.
This Golden Corral was so packed this past Saturday morning a week ago that people walking between our table and the salad bar were bumping my wife's chair which was disturbing.
This Golden Corral doesn't serve steak for breakfast. At the Roxboro Golden Corral we have the opportunity to pay a nominal extra price for steak.

The place is very big or spacious and the buffet was a variety of foods. You can eat for hours variety of all kinds of food.

Might have been just me but felt very stuffy air which is strange. The staff at entrance was sweet while rest might did not have a great day. I can’t say much due to me leaving early from air and my daughter almost had a asthma.

The food is good. The staff need to be more kind and helpful. I don't care for wearing masks it doesn't help, so I am ok with no one wearing it.
