Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I've been a customer for 10 years or more and I'm no longer a customer. I get an oil change for my car every 3 weeks and it costs well over $100 because my car takes more oil than most. Until last week I had no problems going in, telling them I want oil (I supply the filter) drain and filled. Last week the supposed manager kept trying to up sell me services that they can't even perform on my car. I kept asking him to stop trying to sell me stuff and he would just keep on going with the sales pitch. I know exactly what my car needs and when it needs it and he just wouldn't stop pitching. I told him if he keeps talking I'm never coming back and he KEPT TALKING. I spend $1500 bucks a year on just the OIL CHANGES and perform all my other maintenance myself and he couldn't take no for an answer.

Every other manager has been pretty great when I tell them not to even pitch me, but this guy rubbed me the wrong way many times in a matter of a minute. I'll be going somewhere else from now on. Preferably somewhere that doesn't still recommend 3k mile oil changes like it's the 90s. Good riddance.

Very negative customer service at this location. Tried to get an inspection done, with 2 hours to closing time I was turned away and told to come back early the next morning for a "chance" to get in. My regular place in Manlius is a team of Rockstars. Not here clearly not concerned about customers.

It was due for my vehicle to have the oil changed and maintenance services as well. With prior experience with Valvoline I went there the staff is incredibly professional. They will inform you of the various products they offer but it is up to you to choose whether or not you wish to get them from there.
It was convenient that I was there because I also needed to get the filter for my air conditioning and heating changed which due to the current fires in Canada was quite disgusting. So just a heads up for anybody else getting their oil changed you might want to get that checked as well!

Today I was a first time customer. I wasn't sure what to expect. I really didn't have to do anything except listen to what they were saying and asking me to do. Eric the manager plus the guys who work with him all do a great job. They work together as a team you are not Pressured into anything. Eric shows you what the computer recommends you to take care of then he says it's your decision. Overall it was a great experience. I'm very happy and definitely will be back when I need an oil change. A big thank you. Mr. Wonderful

Amazing work! An employee named Abraham helped me out. Explained everything to me, was knowledgeable, polite and found a coupon when I asked! I was in and out quickly. I was thoroughly pleased!

Awesome experience! I came here for a synthetic oil change and I would come back again! Very professional and courteous. Fast and efficient! They have definitely earned my business! The assistant manager that helped me was Abraham and he had a great attitude and provide excellent customer service! Very polite and helpful!

I think they should install the cameras to be able to see what they do to the car at the time of the change.

Inexperienced people working on your cars don’t know what they are doing messing up your car when you pull off it’s messed up

This Valvoline is almost certainly not the closest service shop to my house, but I plan to come back here soon to get my regular service because it was so laid back and cooperative: no one was pushy when offering me to purchase more stuff, an employee came right to the door to meet me 30 seconds after I walked in, and I didn't feel pressured or intimidated. Kenny and the staff here were friendly and helpful on the Sunday afternoon when I stopped by. I happened upon this place because I had realized on the road that I couldn't see out of my windshield properly due to dirt/residue. The wiper juice was out, so I stopped in for replacement wiper fluid and extra air for the tires while I was at it. Kenny took care of me and gave me both for free, which he said he normally does only as a follow up for customers that get an oil change (this was my first time). While the staff were working on my car, somebody noticed that the wipers were old and could be part of the problem. I bought the heavy duty wipers that Kenny recommended for $50 plus tax - they also sell more lightweight "summer" wipers for closer to $25 to $30. (I opted for the more expensive ones because they said they were closer to what came on my car originally and also it is currently January in Syracuse which means lots of snow on the windshield.) Since they were so nice, I asked if there was any reason I had to take my car into the dealer to get serviced, given that I owned it. They said that I could take it anywhere that could do service and I didn't have to rely on the dealer with their high prices and inconvenient scheduling.

Don't do business with Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Erie Boulevard, Syracuse NY! What type of business persuades a 20 year old college student with a 2011 Buick Lucerne into spending $100 for a synthetic oil change. I just paid $49.99 for same type oil change. Who persuades a customer to get a synthetic oil change for a 12 year old vehicle? This is highway robbery. When I called this business, a service lady stated this price is common. Save yourself a headache, don't go to Valvoline Instant Oil change on Erie Boulevard in Syracuse NY. I am not a complainer, but when you ripoff of a 20 year old student, someone has to say something.

I love the staff at this location! Always service with a smile even today when I arrived way later than planned. Literally 10 minutes to closing. I asked them to just check the oil since it was low 3 days ago and told them I’d be back another day for the oil change. They offered to complete it right then to save me the extra trip. They had me on my way 10 minutes later after their great team got it done with a smile.
Throughout the years they have always been great! Awesome customer service.

Quick and simple, staff was really nice and informative. Would definitely come back if I needed an oil change in the area. Work stations were clean. Staff works hard.
