Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Very quick and professional service and thorough look over for any discrepancies on vehicle. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

Over an hour wait and unprofessional staff. They were not competent enough to process a Groupon and not only was I overcharged, but they literally tried to gaslight me while processing the Groupon incorrectly and gave me major attitude.

I hate to make this kind of review when I know mechanics aren't paid enough for the hard work they do, but my experience here made it so that I won't be returning anytime soon.

EDITED TO ADD: I see Valvoline customer service responded. I've already spoken with them after completing an after visit survey and was extremely unhappy with how the issue was handled.

**Update 12/4: ** I returned because after searching for coupons for a different oil change place, a coupon for 50% off a conventional oil change popped up. Customer service and friendliness was excellent, however, the gender differing sales tactics are at an all time high. Telling me I need a new $2.99 oil gasket plug? You mean the one you JUST replaced at my last oil change 3 months ago? GIVE ME A BREAK. I'll still be trying a different place like Walmart Auto or Midas next time. Leaving rating at 1 star until they stop these tactics.

I always go here for an oil change and they are always great! I wanted to give a special shout out to Johann D, Adrian and Gambino for working to get me in and out quickly. I had a time sensitive appointment and they really delivered! Highly recommend!

Never have I EVER been so uncomfortable in my life. I went in for an oil change, and was greeted by one of the workers, Justin. He came up to my vehicle and seemed to be under the influence of something. He continuously was making inappropriate gestures towards me which made me feel very unsafe. I got inside the shop finally and had to use the restroom, as I was walking into the lobby I looked back to see what looked like him smelling my seat? I will never do business at this shop again for my safety. Absolutely Disgusted by this guy they all called "Pit"

They are quick and efficient. Their prices are also very phenomenal. The gentlemen who took care of my vehicle were very professional and thorough when they explained everything to me. Definitely recommend going there.

Amazing staff quick and efficient oil changes. The guys that work there are extremely knowledgeable polite hard-working and they are not pushy, and unlike other places of the same type they do not make you feel like your car is going to blow up and break down if you don't buy extra things that they are trying to sell you they are very cute and very kind to my kids and are understanding and really move quickly and thoroughly as a cohesive team to get you in and out as fast as possible.

A newer guy steve did my oil change.he was friendly and was really genuinely trying to do a great job. Way to go Steve! Thanks

Decent place to go to for a quick oil change. Staff is very personable and pleasant. The only thing that's not cool is the prices of oil but that's not their fault.

Hands down the best oil change place I’ve been to in the 40 years I’ve been driving. Everyone is kind, courteous, fully transparent, no pushy sales tactics, and all around a great group of guys. I can get my oil changed, filters checked, inspections, tire pressure checked, etc. Highly recommend!

Valvoline at this location. The staff is the worst all the way up to your sister store manager telling me the system is down they can't change my oil after the person guided me in to the bay.

Great drive thru oil change! Friendly, fast, informative.they showed me what filters needed changing and I made the decision whether to have the work done. Albert, Sean, Frank and John were the best!

Valvoline is the place when you need a oil change. They staff is knowledgeable about the maintenance you need for the car. Been to Valvoline in 2 states now, and I recieved the same impeccable service.

Best staff in any Valvoline in the ti-state area. All staff is honest and generally want to help not rip you off like most auto establishments super quick efficient drive thru service i did not even have to exit my vehicle and they showed me every thing my car needed maintenance wise

Been going to Valvol8ne for the past 7yrs with a variety of vehicles. Never had any issues with services or pricing. Associates make it personal.

It's a good Valvoline I liked that I could stay in my car and the service was very quick for an oil change.

Service was okay, very slow lines. I came in with a contracted oil change service that specifically states what service exactly to do or not do. The person whos bay I used did not follow the directions and attempted multiple times to upsell me on stuff, and wasted my time there. I was there for over an hour, most of the time waiting for the car in front of me to get finished. Despite being a brand new 2022 vehicle the service tech was trying to convince me that I needed a new air filter, this was after I told them multiple times not to touch anything other than the orders on the screen.

Ive been going hear for the past 3 years. Always a good experience.

The new management is professional, kind, and provides accurate and fast service. Its so convenient that you can sit in car and wait while everything gets done.

Not only was the service fast but they squeezed me into an appointment for my car to be inspected when no one else would see me.

“Instant oil change” is cap, I been waiting in line for an hour and a half and the line hasn’t moved. Employees all nice but the whole INSTANT OIL CHANGE is some BS

I brought my sister in law’s car to get an inspection. We had an appointment so I was in & out & Lamont was so incredibly friendly he made the experience very pleasant. Because I had such a nice experience I brought my car for an oil change. There were a lot of cars but I was impressed with how quickly they were able to help me. Seems like they all work very hard to make sure the line keeps moving. Hunter was very communicative with me & helped me. He did my oil change & made sure I had air in my tires. I trust this group of people at this valvoline but it’s also very important to note that the customer service was top notch especially from Lamont & Hunter (they both helped me) so thank you gentlemen! I definitely recommend this valvoline

My go to place to get my oil changed, clean, courteous and quick. In andout, no up selling pressure, just change my oil and I am on my way. Everyone was cool and calm, courteous and good at their job. Good communication between oneanother, I would recommend this establishment for all your oil changing needs

SUPERIOR SERVICE! I was excited when I got there, just because I needed a oil change and Toyota kept telling me thier booked until next week. I'm sooo glad I went to Valvoline, no appointment needed, first come/first served. Explained everything th here doing while you sit in the car, checked my filters which by the way they said looked like they had not been changed in years -Ah Toyota, you dropped the ball. Just had a great experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Route 300 in Newburgh. I had 2 technicians both named Mike. I would highly recommend Valvoline in Newburgh if you need your car serviced

When I had my car I always came to this place. Fast service, friendly Staff. I had oil changes, A/C serviced, transmission fluid change, vehicle inspection. If they notice something on your car that needs to be checked or fixed that they do not do they let you know. Great customer service A+

Usually quick service. Annoyingly always try to sell you more.air filters, coolant change, wiper blades etc. Leaves a bad taste.

Today, I had a wonderful experience while receiving my oil change on a Saturday. The gentleman who helped me was on point checking fluids and my AC. I did not know I had an issue with my AC. As well as a filter on the floor on the passenger side. He went and changed it showing me the filth. I spent a little more than expected but it was so worth it. I definitely will recommend to anyone to try this Valvoline in Newburgh. I observed teamwork among the staff and I love that. Truly thankful today to have my vehicle service properly. Funny I just went to my car dealer last month and they never even changed this filter but charged a grip.

I used to dread going to get my car serviced wherever I leased it, but now I go straight to Valvoline and it's headache-free and so worth it.

Sunday morning oil change. We've never used the Valvoline franchise before. However, as long as I live here in Newburgh NY we will never use anyone else. The team at this location moved like a, "well oiled machine"! Drove up, wait time no more than 10 min. Sat in car. Effortless. Thanks for the great service!

I go for a "Oil change". They wanta sell me everything under the sun.dont worry about my lights, wipers, tires, a/c, filters. I have a mechanic for that. JUST CHANGE MY OIL.so I get get on the move.

Rapid oil change, checked all fluids, blinkers and lights. The techs (worked as a team) communicated everything they did as well as prices for oil change options. They had a great attitude and seemed to really enjoy what they do. I noticed faces there that have been working there for some time. Those two things, combined with the lack of high pressure up sells makes me plan to return again soon with our other cars!

John was very professional and helpful. Told me I needed to do transmission service and I found out it was cheaper to come back to valvoline so I came back 10 minutes after my oil change and now having him do the transmission service lol

I called in the morning to find out if a battery was in stock. Taylor was very helpful in locating the battery and spoke to me concerning other services. When I went in I had and oil change, battery replaced and an inspection. They were done fast and they were very customer service friendly.

I went in for inspection and assistant manager Darien said that his inspector is not in today how do you supposed to run a business with no inspector and it was only 4: 00 PM

Went to the Newburgh location as I have been doing for a couple years and never had an issue except THIS TIME on September 12,2020 with an employee named VICKI who was rude and extremely UNPROFESSIONAL! Because of her I will make it known to not go there again.

I have had excellent service at other Valvoline oil changes in the past. We were driving from New Jersey up to Lake George and didn't get a chance to get it done before we left. Found that there was a Valvoline right off the highway on the way to our destination. It was a good area to pull off as there were plenty of restaurants and services also very close to the highway as this location is. Service was excellent and very quick.no waiting. We were in and out in fast and the whole took us off the highway for only about 20 minutes. I downloaded a coupon in advance so I saved $25 on a synthetic oil change. Highly recommend!

Was trying to get an inspection. There was no car in front of me. The tech asked me to pulled forward. After rolled down the window told them that I need an inspection not the oil change. They got upset and asked me if I had an appointment. So after this pandemic you asked me for an appointment for a simple inspection? Which really took 15 minute to issue a sticker. I drove across street to midas, simply walk in and wait about 20 minutes to get my car inspected. You just lost another customer Valvoline.

Quick and easy, stayed in car, didn't try to sell me any repairs like most other vehicle inspectors. Took about 15 minutes. Most places take an hour!

Convenient, but would not recommend if you ever want to do your own oil change. My drain plug and oil filter were both overtightened. I'm sure it would have been no problem if I could stand under the car like they can, but the job was made unreasonabbly difficult for lying on the ground. If I go back there I will be speciffically asking that they do not over tighten the drain plug and they hand tighten the filter.

Most convenient place to have all you under the hood needs taken care of. Staff is friendly and courteous. They explain all steps of the services they provide. No pressure to get more than what you came in for. Very quick getting in and out.

Much better than Mavis depending on services. This Valvoline did an active search for possible maintenance services outside of the initial oil change I went in for. They saw some things but gave me an option depending on the severity of the problem. I had them go ahead and change passenger side head light and rear light and lift gate window wiper simply for convenience.

Went to Newburgh location. Manager informed me while I was waiting that he didn't have the proper filter for my car. Very thankful he let me know. He referred my to the new Windsor location.

Rob, Kevin, John and Steve had me out in 10 minutes it that long. Great service will definitely use again. Competitive pricing. Don't forget to change your cabin air filter while there.

Super quick. Super professional. Super efficient. I was the first car there and they took me a few minutes before they opened. Lamont handled my oil change this morning. He was efficient and personable. He answered all of my questions (and I had a lot). I always go to Valvoline (Newburgh and Pleasantville locations) for my oil changes and always have a positive experience.

The team at valvoline have always been super professional and helpfull when i have come there. Weither it be an oil change, tire rotation, or state inspection. The prices are reasonable and they have never tryed to sell me somthing that i didnt need.

The Newburgh Valvoline is an extremely professional and dedicated auto service shop. The employees go above and beyond for their customers and they are completely honest and transparent with their prices. They don't try to screw you over like other businesses and the employees are amazingly friendly and courteous. Do'n't go anywhere for your oil change or other car service you may require.

What’s up with the, “we don’t do oil changes for mini coopers” line that greeted me when I got there at 6 pm with no one in any of the bays or any lines? I’ve had my oil changed at a valvoline before. Doesn’t seem right.
