I came to the Center to learn how to meditate but I what heard made me think more deeply about how my own thoughts, focus and actions are the primary driver of my own peace and happiness.
While initially a bit nervous, the warm welcome put me at ease. The teacher, Kadam Donna, is down to earth and teaches in a relatable manner for our everyday lives and situations - whether it is frustration with traffic or dealing with people with more compassion and a less self-centered view of the world.
I am not a Buddhist, yet the teachings help in making a profound shift in mindset to be more aware of myself, my thoughts and how to better engage with the world around me

Incredible, Approachable, Inspiring, Practical - Vajra Light has been all of these things for me in such a surprisingly effective, personal way. I, now 53, have consistently been a student of Kadam Donna for about three years - mainly on zoom during the pandemic and now in the amazing new space in Mamaroneck.

It would be too cheesy to say Life Changing lol, so in all seriousness I will say this practice, this center and Kadam Donna have helped Changed My Life. (to be specific I am better at managing my emotions so some relationships have improved specifically with my kids, my mindset overall is much more positive which helps with the little stuff and the big that comes everyday and will keep coming, I've lost weight, a lot of weight - really at my age, I've made some incredible true friends - really at my age lol!). The space is so peaceful, inviting, super clean and definitely brings me calm. Everyone is super friendly, and amazingly all volunteer to run the entire center!

It was really worth taking that first weird step!
