U-Save Car & Truck Rental

For me this would be the worse company ever! Rent a car in trinidad after returning home to
The US charge my card twice over $200 US stating some scratch then you can't reach them after the 1st call.failure!

Rental scam and corporate backs them up. Total scam with hidden fees. Unsafe vehicle that stalled and didn’t lock. Major rip off needs to be shut down.

Terrible customer service. They don't have a specific Kingston, Jamaica site for posting reviews but they probably deleted because no one would use them. Never go to a rental site that is outside of the terminal. Once they have you there they will tack on any fees and you feel trapped. I tried to show that my card would cover the insurance fees yet they claim there's a Collision Waiver Admin fee, amongst deposits and other fees. Only thing that saved me is that I was supposed to pay at the counter so I made another reservation elsewhere and I was much more happier.

I needed to rent a cargo van and called U-save. We were flying in from Louisiana to LGA and knew nothing about rental van companies in the area. We went with U-Save and the experience was excellent. Our rental was a nice Mercedes van. They even armor-all’d the tires. We drove around NYC in cargo style, lol.

Note: their insurance verification process includes the need to verbally confirm with the insurance company. That’s not a problem but my insurance company’s phone tree couldn’t give the confirmation needed. This meant the U-save rep called me and I had to take time to call the insurance company. Although it was necessary, it was inconveniencing.

Overall, the rental experience was great and the service was friendly. Would definitely recommend and would rent again.

The customer service is horrendous I felt like I was dealing with young unprofessional employees every time I spoke to someone from there. I made the reservation online and received numerous phone calls afterwards from various workers at that location to confirm the reservation. Every time I called back I spoke to someone different who had no idea why I was calling and I had to explain someone there called me regarding my reservation. My reservation was then confirmed every time and this happened at least 5x or more by someone different however never once when the pick up time was confirmed for 9pm did anyone bother to tell me that they closed at 9: 30pm. The day I went to pick up the vehicle up I was 11 mins away when a young female called me to tell me that she was leaving since my reservation was for 9pm and they closed at 930pm and she was not going to wait further. The whole process dealing with them was unprofessional and poorly ran. Will never recommend them or go there again I thankfully had a backup at Advantage at LGA and that experience went beautifully I was never contacted by phone once only an email and I was able to pick up my vehicle with no hiccups. Thankfully my plans were not ruined no thanks to this poorly ran business.

Recently I rented a van for our trip and van is nice and comfortable but the service is little bit delay. They have only one members during office time and it takes forever. Otherwise, it’s good.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.
I rented a car at LAX Los Angeles and waited over an hour to get my car. For each customer, they wanted proof of insurance from the insurance company and call them to verify that you have an insurance (ave 10 min per customer).
This is basically so you can give up and buy their EXPENSIVE insurance.

I am a frequent traveler and all the cars I ever rented all you need to do is decline their insurance and sign that you already have insurance (with your car insurance company or credit card that covers it)

The agent kept telling me "you got the car for so cheap, what do you expect"

The company name should be U-wait, not U-save.
Not worth the stress after long flights.
DO NOT rent from them, find someone else.

This place is shady and they are petty when it comes to picking up a rental from them and dropping it off vs over the phone people. I will not do business with them again.

Had a rough weekend had the best customer service representative named Daniel he was really helpful would definitely recommend pleasure

I used them for business purposes twice under 1 month rented twice. First time the fuse was burnt out and no tv or electrical function in the back of a 2019 mercedes sprinter van.

2nd time they gave me a dirty 12 pass mercedes sprinter 2016 with dents and scratches which drove terrible.

They expected me to wash the vehicle i guess because even the car wash woudn't wash the van.

I made it very clear each time i rented from there about what im expecting for my rental.

Always have what we need, service always with a smile and very helpful. Our 4th year with them and using them our 5th year.

Great staff and location. Ran into a problem and staff on site was patient until it was corrected.

I had an appointment to receive a truck and they had nothing to give me. Don’t use this place they don’t hold up to their reservations and Art was no help.

Beware I rented a car out of MIA they wanted a $500 deposit because I was using my visa debit card that was fine I understood so I let them take it. Here is the problem it has been over six weeks and I still haven't gotten the refund for the deposit. I've called so far 8 times, they take the so called information they need every time. I check my bank every day nothing. At this point I'm going to report them to the BBB.

Thank you all for everything! We couldn't be any happier with the entire rental from the multiple changes we made at the beginning to the last minute request for a return pick-up. The entire staff made the process simple! I would wholeheartedly recommend U-Save Car Rental to everyone!

Worst rental company out there. Six weeks later and I'm still waiting on my security deposit. Every time I call and if someone actually answers the phone I get a different story. I didn't even get the SUV I rented, I got a dirty minivan. Stay away form this place it sucks.
