We had an amazing experience at The Smith in Midtown East. Food came out really quickly and everything was delicious! We'll definately be back for brunch.

Michael, our waiter, was extremely accomodating of our toddler and was very attentive. When we told him we were celebrating a special ocassion, he brought us prosecco for the entire table!

Food & drinks were was delicious! Our server Shannon was super nice and very attentive!

We came to this cafe for breakfast. The rating of the establishment does not correspond to reality. The food is too salty, potatoes in spices with an incomprehensible taste. The menu lists freshly squeezed juice - it was brought from a package but for $8.5. The prices are very high and do not correspond to the quality of the food.

Super fun I recommend the mac and cheese it was the best I’ve ever had. They have a Photo Booth in the basement. Very nice service

Perhaps it's typical Manhattan, for me it's not acceptable. The restaurant was hopping, but there was plenty of room for everyone. I requested a table for two and was told I could not be seated until the other person arrived.

I said to myself, self, does it really make a difference or do you truly have tables for one?

Because I was in front of the door, cold, and hungry, I said OK, fine. Give me a table for one because I have arrived. She said yes, we can do that right away. I said very good I will let my guest know that they weren't welcome or available to be seated. She said OK, sounds great.

OK, finally I was able to get back to my table. It was set for four people. That added to my angst.

The waitress was phenomenal. Their signature steak was incredible. I love the green peppercorn sauce. The mashed potatoes were delicious, and the spinach side was decadent.to finish things off I had a piece of the apple pie which was also fresh and delicious.

Had it not been the hostess, this would have been a terrific experience.my guest know that once they take care of the hostess problem this is probably a good spot.

The one star for service was only for the hostess. The waitress was excellent.

The Smith always delivers quality food and big energy atmosphere. We had the Seafood tower, and Brussels sprouts, I had the Branzino and French fries. The sprouts are done with a sweet/sour tang that makes them absolutely addictive. The Branzino had a curry & cashew kick that was a really refreshing take on a fish I have had a million times. I asked for well done fries and they were cooked perfectly! I have been here probably a dozen times and other than being occasionally overly loud it never disappoints.

Fantastic good. Got a table on New Year's. Ate outside in one of the little booth options. Would definitely recommend.

Unfriendly female server. Even if I wait for a long time, it doesn't come. Served in a very uncomfortable manner.

I was looking for a place to have a quick bite while I waited for my dog's grooming appointment. I found The Smith, walked in and was seated immediately. The staff was very pleasant, they checked on me every time they walked past me to see if I needed anything. I had the Smoke Salmon Benny with home fries and a mimosa, the English muffin melts in your mouth. I really enjoyed the food and will be going back.

We were sat 25 mins after our reservation. They sat 5 of us at a booth for 4 with a seat at the end and in the open. Ordered a chicken pot pie that had bones in it. A quick sorry from our server but no real apology from the restaurant. Regretted paying the bill.

Love this place whether I’m on a business dinner or grabbing a bite and a beverage alone at the bar. Great staff and food. Lively environment.

Good spot. Food was good, fresh juices are also trully freshly squeezed. We came with my 7mnts pregnant Sister for lunch and our server was so accommodating that he even went for some substitutions for her plate that rarely any other server would do. Dish she wanted had an egg on it, she asked for no egg, and server brought a little side of berries instead to her without even blink of an eye to make sure she is not missing on her lunch. So nice. That's what hospitality should be about!

Took some guests from out of town to the restaurant and they had a great time and really enjoyed the food and drinks
