The Rum House

Its been a while, but loved coming back to the Rum House. Great vibes, attentive customer service, soothing love music. Definitely worth the experience. Will come back!

I gotta say this is a classic New York feeling bar/pub. The atmosphere was the most notable, when you enter you feel as though your in another year. It does get busy in there but for a drink or two in the evening I would recommend checking this place out.

They had live music, those who worked there did their best to ask you if you wanted drinks/table etc.dim lighting, nice bar area, meaning there was a decent amount of seating/bartenders and the feeling is akin to something around the 20's or 30's. There are a few windows to see the sidewalk and people passing by.

This bar is the best bar i ever been to in this world. The rum house had classic menu to pick from as rum drinks.when i first step inside the rum house it felt like i took time capsule back into the classic bar feeling atmosphere. If you want top shelf rum this is place to be. The bartenders that work at the rum house was excellent making the drinks and fast service and the music performers that perform was classic jazz music i ever heard in my life.overall if you want chill peace night in times square in bar setting this is the place to be at the rum House

Came in for happy hour. We tried the rum punch, sangria and the rum old fashioned, which was my favorite

We were so excited to visit Rum House after reading fab reviews… boy was that a mistake.

After waiting a short time in line and chatting with the nicest bouncer, he found a spot for us. After 20 minutes we couldn’t get a drink. My husband signaled the bartender. After the second time of him just raising his hand, the bartender yelled, “Ya ok calm down… I see you. ”

I was shocked. Yes I know we are in NY but I had read how friendly this bar was… NOT

We were hoping to enjoy some good rum to celebrate our anniversary. We bolted and will not return.

Stay away!

The worst service! We stood in line to get inside but when we got in they said we can’t get a table until we order at least 4 drinks. They could have told us right upfront when we were waiting in line

The Rum House was my favorite place out of my entire trip! We went here on our first night and no other place could compare. First of all the service was amazing. Rene went above and beyond! The drinks were delicious and strong! Then the live music was just the cherry on top. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. If you're around the Time Square area, this place is A MUST stop!

Based on reviews we were excited to go here. Waited in queue for a few minutes. Scouted for a table or seats at the bar. Eventually found a table and sat down. It wasn’t just us… many groups of people were searching. Two even asked if they could join us. We had no issues. Plenty of room.
Walks in rude manager, seemingly without reason, asked my party to vacate our table abruptly. Not only was this done in a rude manner, but to add insult to injury, the table was promptly given to another group of 4 men who had just walked in!

Feeling disrespected and frustrated, we opted to leave the establishment without even having the chance to place an order. What’s the point of going to a place that doesn’t have a welcoming atmosphere. The bouncer at the entrance apologized but what’s the point. This is NYC! Such places are aplenty! I’ll take my business and order food and drinks away at a place that values its guests!

Romantic and charming wood paneled Casa Blanca kind of bar featuring Rum drinks. (Although they have a full bar). Food is expensive nibbles. $6 popcorn and $8 pretzels.don't bother. Location near times square and atmosphere are stellar.

We got here around 8: 30/8: 45pm on a Saturday and we're the first to sit at the small tables. By 9: 30 it was packed. The drinks were good and service was personable. Definitely loved the vibe.

Great ambiance especially when Jazz is playing. Didn't try the food. Service is excellent.

No where to sit on a Thursday night, no accommodations to fix the situation and then told to GTFO if we don't order a $17+ drink. We did leave. Great way to talk to people when there's nowhere to go in a tiny cramp bar.

Good drinks and food, fantastic service (super friendly and helpful), nice vibes and music. Would definitely enjoy after work drinks with a colleague here again.

One of the best cocktail bars in New York, and if you are lucky enough to be served by John you will receive unbeatable service.

Stopped in here for a few cocktails, perfectly crafted by Paul, and wished we didn't have to head out early the next morning or we'd be sampling more! Great atmosphere and feel in this place, a fun stop!

The Rum Punch was excellent! The manager was awesome and seated us all quickly. The atmosphère speaks for itself. All 6 of us enjoy our 1.5 hours of drinks and enjoyment of last day in NYC.

I was so impressed by the service/waitstaff at Rum House. They were friendly and exceptionally attentive. My husband loves their old fashioned. They have live music on weekends.
