Came up from NYC to Rochester for our wedding and wanted a place to have some pre-event grooming and pampering so I went to Men's Room. I was a bit hesitant as they are a higher end service and I normally do my own head shave & beard trim, but I was so glad that I went for it. The staff is super friendly at check-in and they offer a complimentary beer, wine, coffee, tea, or water while you wait for your barber/stylist.
My best man and I enjoyed a fresh draught beer, and then proceeded to our grooming. Sarah and Shaylee were super fun to work with and they had very gentle, yet sure hands. We both loved the special care that they took to make sure all the details were perfect and the hot towels were the best! They offer so many services on top of your normal grooming, including manicure/pedicure and massage & spa care. They also offer discounts for first timers as well as groomsman packages. I emplore you that if you're in the ROC area- take some YOU time and visit Men's Room!

There are not enough words to describe the awesome services they provide. Always a welcoming face and outstanding services. Amanda is very acomodating at last-minute requests. And all the staff are excellent in their craft!

Save yourself the time and money- avoid the Men’s Room all together.

I very rarely write bad reviews because any business can have an off day which is fine- but the Men’s room has repeatedly disappointed me for the past two and half years. I feel stupid for giving them so many opportunities to do better and wasting so much time and money somewhere my business isn’t appreciated even a little bit.

I really wanted to like this place. It is very clean and welcoming. The locker room and spa are great. And I love my now former stylist, Shaylee. She was the best part of my time at the Men’s Room- she knew what I wanted, did a good job, and was pleasant to talk to. I’m not a picky customer- all I wanted was the works package (a haircut, nose/brow wax, in-the-chair facial) and a massage. But they are completely incapable of booking me correctly. One time, it was completely out of order. One time they screwed up what I wanted and gave me the wrong stylist. One time they booked me with an HOUR in between the finished haircut and the massage. One time they said their scheduling software messed up and they didn’t have my appointment. They even managed to mess up the “groom package” I booked the week before my wedding (BIG disappointment). But 90% of the time they cancel the massage on me. In two and half years I have only gotten a massage there three times despite booking one at least every other month. I’m giving them two stars only because of Shaylee. Without Shaylee- 0 stars.

Best haircut in town! Everyone is so nice, they even bring you your favorite drink when you arrive! They have services like skin treatments and massages too! Love this place. Highly recommend:)

The employees make it the warmest environment of any spa in Rochester. Pay a little more to be treated like royalty. And the services are wonderful

I could hang out all day at this place! Friendly staff, fireplace, big TV, drinks, massage. But instead I have relied on them for the past few years to make me look good (or at least better!). Very professional and excellent service.

I've been coming here off and on since they opened, over 15 years ago and for good reason.
Even with their growth from just 2 chairs at the beginning to, seems like near 10, they've kept what makes this place great. And that's the customer service.
Obviously, you're going to get a great haircut, but what sets it above the rest is the ability to make each customer feel special.

Impressed! This barbershop-on steroids, for mens grooming and aesthetic needs, is spot on! Carefully designed for masculine comfort, this place is sure to have any man, or young man like my son, smiling upon entrance and feeling more confident as he makes his way out on the town! If you are a local, you gotta go! Staff is wonderful, friendly and offer drinks when you arrive. I mean, they do have a bar! Awesome!

Amanda did an outstanding job on the Classic Facial treatment. I was thoroughly satisfied.

The only criticism I have is I asked if they offered a glycerin antibacterial bar soap as I had a recent sugaring treatment and needed that to exfoliate. I was told they didn't have one and was offered 2 products that I did not want which caused my bill to be way more than I expected. I never received a breakdown to see how much those products were as the products combined was way more than the treatment itself.

Wonderful! This is a world class salon with outstanding employees and services at reasonable prices. I indulged in the pedicure service called Extraordinary Foot Repair and it was terrific! Worth every penny! If you feet are tired and have dry and calloused skin, then this is something that you MUST do for yourself! You will be glad that you did! This salon is sparkling clean and the employees are attentive in checking you in and ensuring your comfort with complimentary beverages while you wait. I will definitely go again!

Always treated warmly and it’s great to feel not like a number but like a person. The stylist I regularly see is amazing and does a great job. Prices vary by stylist but are reasonable. Front end staff very friendly and efficient - definitely recommended for a higher end cut in Rochester

I had a barber in Chicago, who cut my hair horribly a week before my wedding. I made an appt at “the Mens room” for a deluxe shave, as I was in town for a graduation. They did an incredible job on the shave, and were able to save my haircut with a beautiful shape up and fade. I was so scared my hair would be ruined for the wedding. Thanks to Anathea my hair looks better than ever, my bride is happy, and my wedding is saved. I am speechless. I’ve never had a better experience, please take all my money. This place is hands down the very best. Thank you guys, you truly made all the difference.

Always a great experience. Even through the height of Covid; TMR is always an amazing place to escape the hectic schedules of our life and just feel Iike a king for the day. The front desk staff is always on top of scheduling; the stylists do amazing work and are really enjoyable to be around. The owner really cares about the experiences her clients have. I even got a social media gift basket one time from a contest they had on Instagram! Every three weeks for the last four years it feels like I’m visiting family and friends. Couldn’t ask for more loyalty from a business and in turn that’s why I’m a loyal customer of the Men’s Room for life. I’m proud to support this amazing women-owned small business.

The best place in rochester to get a haircut. The service exceeds expectations every time. When I check in my jacket is hung up and I’m given my usual espresso. My stylist, Jenn, knows exactly what I like. They’ll shine my shoes, do my nails and cut my hair at the same time. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Had a massage scheduled for 12, changed, waited for 25 minutes then left because there was no masseuse and they couldn't find her, and couldn't tell me? The entire experience left something to be desired.

I was visiting Rochester New York and needed a haircut and went to this place. I wish they had one of these where I live as the business model is incredible, the service is excellent and the whole vibe of the place was perfect.
