The Mean Fiddler

The food is good which is why we tried to go back. At 5pm on a Saturday the music was so loud that I couldn't hear my girlfriend across a two foot table. Talking to the waiter, we were told that they won't turn down the music. Why the eff does it need to be so loud during dinner? I understand if you want to bring the DJ in later at night and turn the bar into a dancefloor but at 5pm, c'mon? I can say that I will not be going back. It's sad since I like their food.

Guinness is delicious here and service by the bartender Georgia was outstanding! I’d come here just to hangout with her! Super hospitable and funny girl. 10/10 experience.

I discovered the Mean Fiddler a few months ago and since then it’s always been a favorite spot of mine. The cocktails are amazing and the bartenders are wonderful. Aaron is the best! He’s always welcoming, funny, kind and attentive. It’s a great place to go if you’re looking to dance (they have a live DJ) or just have a few drinks and a nice conversation. I’ve gone here with friends and I’ve gone solo and have always felt very safe and comfortable. At the Mean Fiddler you’ll meet people visiting NYC from all over. I’ve met so many great people here and made many international friends. If you’re looking to have a fun time with great drinks and great people, this is the place to go!

One word: LIVELY! The mean fiddler has been a favorite for years now. From the inviting environment to the well- crafted themed foods, mean fiddler takes the gold! To top that all off the service is beyond amazing! I have to just give most credit to the bartender Aaron who really is the reason I continue to come back! He is not only super attentive but as well has extremely high energy and brings a positive morale to Mean fiddler!

Great place! Patrick was very welcoming to our group from the front door to the bar to closing. This was many of our groups first experience with NY. Awesome place and we all got a shirt that I will sure show off for ya in Texas! Thanks again Patrick and the fiddler staff!

This was amazing today! Ashley the bartender was sweet, and entertaining! Six ladies from Canada had an awesome time. The food and the really amazing cocktails were great! Might go back later again tonight! Recommended by door person at Hotel Edison.

Awesome place with high variety of cocktails and beers close to Broadway so it’s a perfect place to hop in before the show!

The staff are great, especially Maeve great service and food. I recommend the roadhouse burger.

This was our post NYC marathon place for a celebration (friend ran) : bottomless mimosas, a DJ, football on TV, loud! Perfect! Burgers were great! French fries the best! Service was excellent. Quick and friendly. We loved it!

Young crowds, kareoke station, DJ is in premise, pre mixed flavored margaritas slushy style were good

The bartender didn’t know to make proper old fashion, the glass, the orange peel etc.is way too any normal place. What’s the hype all about.

Is not safe anymore, someone gets assaulted inside the bar and he gets assaulted again in the way out almost died and the guards did nothing, a lot of blood on the ground they just cleaned up like nothing happened, lawsuits coming soon! This happened Sunday around 2: 30 am November 21st, 2021

The quintessential millennial brunch. The American burger with bacon was spot on. Service and music were on point on this day.

The Mean Fiddler was a fun experience! Our servers were incredibly friendly and accommodating. During “Bottomless Dinner, ” our drinks kept coming – and there were plenty of options available.

The food was honestly better than I expected. Each of us enjoyed our food and ordered more. We sat outside where there was plenty of heat and everything was nicely decorated!

SO MUCH FUN! Bottomless drinks were awesome here and the vibe + music was so good! Pub food was yummy too! I can see why the stars venture here!

I would highly recommend for a quick bite either before or after the theater! Speedy service when we told them we were racing to a show, but still very good food. The bartender also did a great job with our drinks. My only complaint would be that there were no clear gluten-free options on the menu, so the waitress had to ask the kitchen. It all worked out; I enjoyed my meal and made it to the show with time to spare, but I would love to see some gluten-free free options clearly marked next time.

The place was somehow crowded and that was good.
The DJ was pretty boring on a Sunday Night, the music had nothing to do with the dance floor.

You guys should rename this place the Nice Fiddler. When you think of bottomless brunch, you think of barely any alcohol and bad service. However, the drinks were so strong and plentiful. The service was fantastic. Especially Talia and Evelyn. The food was great and I am super super happy with my experience. Much love.

My friends and I all had the bottomless dinner option. To start we were served Popsicle prosecco which was amazing! It was served in adorable glasses and was delicious!
The rest of the drinks weren’t the best.some were stronger than others, and the frozen drinks were all melted.
The food was great! Everything we ordered was delicious. For the price, I was very pleased.

Came here for brunch but was unfortunately unable to participate in the bottomless part of it. Our waitress was so on top of refilling our water glasses after hearing we weren’t drinking. I was so impressed. She was so sweet. The fries were great and I’ll definitely be back for brunch. The food was very filling and the vibes were great.

Came here from brunch with my girls and it was so much fun! We ate outside since the weather was great but when I went in to use the bathroom the vibe was insane and the must was GREAT!
The drinks were amazing and the food was so good too!
They had a rainbow painted on the floor which was beautiful.

SEIZURE WARNING!

If you are already blind or deaf, this is the place for you! The food was fantastic and the servers were absolutely delightful!

However, those are the only two things that have earned any stars. For those of you with currently working vision and hearing, stay away if you want to keep it. The vibe of this place is TERRIBLE. Pitch black, rave lights that flash directly in your eyes about every 2-3 seconds from every direction, and a DJ with terribly dated tunes playing at Guantanamo torture level of volume. No offense man but JB’s “Baby” in 2021? An 11 year old song from an 11 year old kid? Really?

The drinks were also substantially watered down which was surprisingly a plus since I’m sure I would have tripped and cracked my skull open if I were trying to navigate this flash bang dungeon while drunk. Not even sure how the servers put up with that kind of work environment; I’d have asked ours to blink twice if she needed help but we were all blinking rapidly anyway from the seizure-inducing lighting.

My friend and I stumbled across The Mean Fiddler and absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a fun place with great drinks! The music was bumping and the waitresses were super friendly and helpful! The manager introduced us to everyone and made us feel so special on our short visit to New York.

I found this place on tic toc and I decided to give it a shot. Tbh their food is not all that I would rate it 5/10. The atmosphere is great they have good drinks but you can barely taste the alcohol in the drinks. I would only recommend this spot for drinks and chill, not for their food. I must add that they played very good music. Nice chill spot.

Absolutely love this place! We made reservations and were checked in right away. We were seated with our waitress Savannah and she was absolutely amazing. It was my first time here and I ordered bottomless drinks and didnt know what drinks to order and Savannah handled all of that. She continued to bring me drinks that were way above my expectations. I definitely recommend this place and her as well. Thank you Savannah!

Patrick and the team at Mean fiddler do an amazing job. Visited this place at least for a nightcap every night and the vibe of a amazing as a s the staff and patrons. We will go here every time we’re in the city. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for the hospitality.

Awesome lunchtime spot with great endless drink option. I enjoyed the club atmosphere, but the disco lights were hard to deal with sitting down in one spot, usually when you're dancing, it's not an issue. But all in all, good!

Me and my friends did the bottomless brunch and did the Purple Haze drink for 90 min and left the place sober. It was straight up juice. This wasn’t the bottomless brunch we expected, and the food was just okay. All of the staff was really nice though!

Music was nice. There was a live DJ. Drinks were nice but menu is limited. My friends we pleased.

Our group of 4 enjoyed the bottomless brunch on a Sunday and the Mean Fiddler did not dissapoint! The restaurant was blasting throwbacks and fun songs to dance to. The strobes and the dj really drew us in and set the mood. We were promptly sat at the bar and were greeted by our rockstar server/bartender Roisin. We picked from an extensive list of bottomless options and she made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We got a mix of entrees including buffalo spring rolls to share, a fried chicken sandwich, a wrap, and 2 burgers. All of the food was surprisingly EXCELLENT. This place hits the trifecta of good food, good drinks, and good people. We truly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back to see our new friend Roisin!

Very sweet, attentive servers! Great mix of popular music and outdoor seating that is more spacious than it looks. The chicken sandwich, mozzarella sticks, and beef sliders are all great options. Mule and Magner's Cider are both good. Food is a bit on the pricier side, but not terribly so. Plus, they've got a pretty good happy hour deal! Great spot for a casual outing with some friends.

I still am just in awe of my experience here. Leading up to our reservation (being from 6 hours away), I was on insta every day viewing their stories and just smiling and saying I can’t wait! Let me tell you when they took what they put on Insta and made it a reality, I was floored. When I told the manager it was my boyfriends birthday, she made it her personal agenda to make us feel welcome! Talia (spelling?) our waitress went above and beyond and listened my tipsy stories without ever making me feeling rushed or annoyed. I just really have no words and wish that I could give more stars. Food was a 6/10 and the bottomless drinks were a 2/10 I could drink most of them so it was a waste of money. There are so many places in NY don’t waste your time or money here. Only highlight was the bartender he was extremely nice

I believe this is an Irish Pub. Food was great, drinks were great. Vibes were right. All genres of music were played, my friends and I sang and danced to everything. You are not rushed even when you're done.

Only reason it dosen't get 5 stars? No "Long Island iced teas". Other than that great music, especially once the D. J.shows up!

Let's say the food was ok nothing to brag about. I don't think I will return back however I'm happy for the experience. This place was recommended on Tiktok. The ambiance is what bring ppl there. They should definitely get a better drink menu. And, the music please change that it will be nice if they play a variety of music and not just for a certain group. One last thing it's very pricey and they serve what everyone else serve just overpriced.

I was very excited to go to the Mean Fiddler due to their bottomless drinks for dinner upon my arrival in New York. I am a very thorough planner and I make sure that I do my research prior to going anywhere when I plan a trip. The Mean Fiddler advertises on its website that it’s bottomless drink options are from 3-9 PM Wednesday through Friday. Can you imagine my surprise and annoyance when I get there at 8: 30, abs I am told “yeah sorry we stop it at 8: 00 now and the website is wrong”. Quite honestly the bottomless dinner was the Mean Fiddler’s only reason I even wanted to go there, because the food looks very basic and over priced. Needles to say I left.

This place was a lot of fun! I went later in the evening and the place nicely transitions into a dance floor. I really enjoyed the music. The staff was really nice.
