The Lodges at Cresthaven

Loved it here. If you’re into the log cabin feel and even smell you’ll enjoy it too. Room was super clean and staff was great. Was here during the off season so didn’t get the full experience but will be back

From the beginning of our adventure to the day of the wedding ceremony, all of the staff was beyond accommodating to myself and all of our guests. To the most breath taking views, cleanliness, gorgeous architecture, the perfect pool, and hot tub. I could live here forever. Thank you all so much for everything and making it absolutely perfect!

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We're overlooking Lake George. I'm originally from Plattsburgh, New York, and myself, my wife, and her mom from Akron, Ohio, are here visiting my family for a week. The staff is very polite and accommodating. It's a very rustic atmosphere, both inside and outside, which is ideal if you like that Adirondack Mountain feel. The rooms are all spacious and there's plenty of room for clothing. There was a T. V.in each of our two bedrooms, and a larger one in the living room. There's WiFi, and the cell service in that particular area is very good. There's plenty of counter space and cupboard space in the kitchen. We especially like the gas fireplace that is on a 30-minute timer. The beds are all very comfortable, as are the chairs and couch in the living room area. There's plenty of lighting options to make you comfortable. There's Wi-Fi and plenty of channels on the TV. The refrigerator and freezer are very spacious, and our dining room table seats six people. There's a large front deck with a table and 4 chairs that gave us a direct view of the lake. I would highly recommend staying here.

I would like to thank the staff at Cresthaven for a beautiful 4 night getaway. We’ll definitely be back, lodge 51 was unbelievable. Exceeded our expectations on every level, fireplace, full kitchen, washer and dryer, jacuzzi, extremely clean and plenty of room. The only negative was we didn’t stay longer. Worth the money

My family and I have stayed at The Lodges for the past 9 years. It is truly our happy place! We stay in a cabin in row 21 every summer. We have also stayed in the beachfront cabins during the fall and spring. They are all beautiful accommodations with breathtaking views!
The property is stunning! The landscaping is unparalleled with beautiful flowers and shrubbery everywhere. We especially love the gorgeous lake views from the sitting area above the hot tub grotto and the firepit area. The relaxing hammocks on the hill are also a great place to relax and enjoy the view!
The Boathouse Restaurant is on property. We have never been impressed with their food but the drinks are wonderful! You can get drinks and bring them up to the sitting area to enjoy.
While it is kid friendly, this is an extremely calm and relaxing resort. It's so wonderful to return to this little slice of tranquility after a busy day in the village or on the lake!
We recommend this property without reservation!

Our family of three generations has enjoyed vacationing at The Lodges at Cresthaven for 20 years. Beautifully landscaped situated on the shore of Lake George with a private beach, indoor/outdoor pool, Boathouse Restaurant plus plenty of activities. Looking forward to the next 20 years.

This place is not at all what they represent it to be on their website. Sure its on a nice piece of property along the lake but the hotel itself is very poorly run. For what they charge for a room (500-1200/night), you would think they would invest a little money in their staff and infrastructure.

After 8pm there is no one that you can get in contact with at the hotel. We arrived shortly after 8pm, found our key outside of the office and let ourselves into the room. The internet and tv did not work. And because of the location, we had no cell service. Our jobs are dependent on being able to access the internet so this was a big problem. We used the phone in the room to leave multiple messages for the hotel but no one got back to us. The hotel claims they have a 24hr line that you can call but they dont give you the number for it. You have to go back to the office in the middle of the night to find it. But its pointless anyway because without cellphone or internet service, we didnt even have a way to call (our room phone would not dial out).

The rooms themselves are pretty cheap. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything outside. There were a lot of people yelling outside during the night, not sure if they were guests or people that were at the restaurant/bar that were just lingering around but it really didnt feel safe and not having any way to make a call really put us on edge.

We had to call multiple more times the next day just to get somone on the phone (they never responded to any of our messages) and they were only worried about covering themselves, never even asked what our issues were. He actually told us that we could "just call 911" if we had any issues (I still cant believe he said that). Twice I asked to speak to a manager and he hung up on me. They force you to put half of the cost of the total stay down as a security deposit so they seemed to only be worried about keeping that.

Please do your research before booking this place, we wish we had! Its not worth it!

I stayed here for 3 nights, 4 days. The view was amazing. Honestly. I called 4 other places on the lake and I’m so happy they were all booked out because this was the best one I saw and the CHEAPEST! The lodge I stayed in was not near the water, however, it was further enough back and high enough to give me the amazing view which I have included in the photos I took. The only thing we had an issue was with the towels…my parents and I stayed and we all shower morning and night so we need a lot of fresh clean towels! Every time we called they were always delivered. But besides that, it was amazing

If you want to stay in complete comfort on the lake and have everything you need provided, Crest Haven is the place to stay!

Rooms are great. Pools are great. Location is great. Everything is fantastic. Worth the price

The 2 bedroom lodge was beautiful, as were the views of the lake from our balcony. The customer service, on the other hand, is horrendous. The employee at the front desk was extremely rude and condescending. Nobody deserves to be spoken to the way he spoke to us. I would not recommend this lodge to anyone.

Beautiful view, nice restaurant but the service is tragic. We were treated like criminals on the way out, left feeling mortified and humiliated. If you feel like paying to be mistreated, then this is a great option. We would NEVER step foot here again and advise others to consider the other 50 other lodge grounds in Lake George. The service deserves zero stars, but the 2 stars are for the view.

I was very disappointed with my family’s stay at the lodge. Most importantly the staff at the hotel provided no assistance when we ran into issues. We spent the first night waiting around hours for maintenance that never showed. Since the pool and hot tub close at 8pm. We had nothing to do and essentially lost our first night there. The second night the garbage dumpster near our room started to smell. By the third night it was unbearable and we could not sit outside our room. When I reported to the front desk, they said they were aware but could do nothing. As other people reported the walls are very thin. There were also issues with the ac. One room was hot and the other freezing. I didn’t bother reporting because the staff at the desk were no help. The room was pretty expensive for what we got. I loved Lake George but will definitely find somewhere else to stay next time.

My family and I come here every year for 2 days to get a quick R&R. The room and grounds are always well kept and have every amenity you would want. The pool is clean and never too busy, the Grotto is large and is nice because who doesn't like a hot tub? The views are amazing, and after 9pm, it is super quiet so you can look from your deck out into the water in relaxation. I would highly recommend this place if you need to recharge and not want to go anywhere. Always a fun yime for us and the kids!

We went during the off season, but we still had a fantastic stay. Jacazzi was amazing! The room is very clean and neat. The only thing I'd wish that they would provide is silverware and maybe dishes.

The actual place is wonderful. The on site people good. The "system" left much to be desired, left us feeling like (they were saying) "you're lucky to be here".

Stayed in the Oak Tree Lodge (Hotel type Room) in early February. Overall, the room was clean, there was a nice view, and the bed was comfortable. There is a kitchenette, but there are no plates or silverware, which makes no sense to me. If you have a toaster, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, don't you think you should include at least a few spoons, forks, plates? On our second night, the wifi went out around 7 PM. Front desk staff had already left so nothing could be done. Not a huge deal but there isn't great Verizon or ATT service in the room. I had hoped to use the gym one morning, but even 4 days after a snowstorm, the entrance was plowed in and not accessible. Not sure if we would stay here again. I think we would look else where in the Lake George Area.

The room was beautiful and the view from the balcony was stunning but to see black moldy flakes come out when the jacuzzi was turned on was extremely upsetting. As we were sitting in bed watching tv, a young male worker unlocked the door and walked in then proceeded the shut the door and leave without an explanation, not really sure why this happened but it was not appreciated at all.

We booked this place for our mini-honeymoon this past weekend and it was definitely a great place. Between the hot-tub, pool, restaurant, fire pits, and overall environment, it was awesome!

The only reason I have to give 2 stars is because our room had a roach problem. I woke up at 2am and went into the kitchen to get a drink. As I placed a bottle of water onto the counter I saw something scurry away. When I turned my flashlight on and shined it onto the counter, there were roaches ALL OVER the counter! Big ones, small ones, and medium sized ones crawling all over the counter. This really grossed us out.

We told the front desk about it and they said "sorry about that, we will get maintenance over there". We never heard anything about it after that but the roaches were still in the kitchen the next night. Gross!
