Superb Italian food, service was very good. One of the best American / Italian Bistors in Westchester County.

We came with a group of 7 women for restaurant week lunch. Choices available were varied and food was delicious.

This place is amazing, such great service, top notch service! Drinks and food are amazing! The ambiance is wonderful, attention to detail when it comes to platting is great. I will definitely be coming back to this place.

Me and my wife held our wedding welcome dinner here and were able to have the whole restaurant to ourselves. It was an amazing night. The staff was great all night and everyone raved about the food. It was such a pleasant experience and we would definitely come here again!

I just came back from one of the worse dining experience I have had in Westchester. I decided to go to 808 Bistro because I received a $50 gift card last year. This was my first and last time dining at this restaurant. I walked in, it was not busy, and after about 5 mins a woman from the bar yelled hello, can I help you? I said yes, I want to sit and eat. She came over and pointed and said you can sit there and I sat at a table. She came back over and poured water in the glass and on the table. I was stunned. Why are you pouring water that it spill all on the table. She came back and wiped up the water and said so and so will come come over.
Her yelling from the bar and pouring the water on the table was first and second sign I should have got up and leave.
A server (don't remember if he said his name) came over and ask what I wanted. I asked what cocktails for happy hour, since happy hour ends at 6 p.m, he said oh you have to sit at the bar for happy hour and happy hour is over. I said happy hour is until 6 p.m and it is 5: 30, he said oh they closed already. Third sign I should have got up and leave.he didn't offer any bread or anything. I had the crab cake, moscow mule, skirt steak and white bread pudding.
Before the bill came, I told the server I have a gift card. He immediately said oh we have no scanner to use it and blah blah blah. I was so disgusted that this server is trying to tell me they can't take the gift card that they issued. I told him you can use the code on the gift card if he can't scan it. He took my phone and came back. At this point I didn't even want to pay them anything since their food, service was not worth a dime.
I didn't want to tip them or just give them $0.01 for good measure.
Needless to say he told me rather loudly that my total bill was $84 and I didn't tip. I told him be thankful I paid anything. I was beyond disgusted. They are way overpriced.
I have dined and entertained family and friends at the other restaurants on Garth Road and have had lovely experiences with their food and service, and their prices are worth every cent.
The server's name on the receipt is Nelson. I don't know if he owns the place or if he is related to the owner, or if the woman at the bar is related to the owner or whatever the case may be.
I have eaten at many high-end restaurants in the city and outside the city and have never had such an awful experience.
The good thing is 88 Bistro is located out of sight and out of sight out of mind.
I will not bring anyone to or recommend this place. Their prices are high for their rude and awful service and their food is nothing to go on about.
I hope they read this and try to do better, but I am guessing they think their behavior is appropriate. Anyone who comes into their restaurant should not be subjected to this type of behavior or service.

Food was very good. They have some nice lunch specials. The crab cake was exceptional. It was small but just crab and very tasty. The desserts were delicious. The flan and the brownie are a must try. I look forward to dining in.

My family and I dined at 808 this evening. This was our second time dining there. While the food was good, we (and many of the other guests) had a horrible experience due to the extremely loud rude party of 20, half of whom were very loud children sitting at their own table as if they were in a school cafeteria. The children were so loud that one party switched to another table as far away as possible but still could not enjoy their dinner! One party came in and then walked out because of the incredible noise. The staff, with the exception of a busboy, refused to ask the parents to ask their children to be more considerate to all the other patrons who were trying to have a relaxing Saturday night dinner. We all left with a headache, and to boot, the waiter ran out of the restaurant after us, yelling that we didn’t leave him a big enough tip! Will not be returning.

Dinner last week was so good I came back for lunch. Maybe my breakfast. Had the Eggs Benedict. Very yummy. Friendly staff and Highly recommended.

We came early on a Friday night, and were surprised to learn it was restaurant week. Although I had been looking forward to some of my favorite items on the regular menu (crispy shrimp wontons FTW!), I found some of them on the special menu, like the meatballs and crab cake. Ftr, this is the best crab cake you can find! And it did not disappoint. The pork chop was like braised beef and melted in my mouth. The duck confit was perfectly crispy, and the meatballs were as flavorful as I remember. The apple strudel was a delight. As far as service goes, the wait staff were professional, courteous, and went the extra mile to make us happy. They handled the restaurant week crowd with grace! I love this place, and highly recommend eating here if you can.

This was a great find! The food, atmosphere, and entertainment were remarkable! We were so impressed. We went for Easter brunch, ordered from the prefix menu, and it was all amazing. Can't wait to try the regular menu! We will definitely be back.

A great place to dine in. I’ve been here many times over the years with my staff for holiday parties as well for personal engagements. The staff is kind, attentive and most importantly the food is great! I’m vegan and have always been accommodated. Really nice restaurant for dates and professional affairs!

Excellent service, and really nice atmosphere. Everything very clean. Food was mostly exceptional, with only 2 exceptions. Both salads could use more greens, and the chicken piccata although plentiful had a slightly "unusual" sauce taste. But these 2 small issues, were eclipsed by the Excellent service

I am grateful to live a short ten-minute walk from this jewel of a restaurant; but the fact of the matter is that people come from notable distances to spend time in this cozy establishment.

The food is authentic and flavorful, and there is a plethora of choices for all dietary needs- from vegans to the most discerning, meat-loving omnivores, everyone has a seat at the proverbial table. Most importantly, the pasta is al dente and cooked to perfection. And thank goodness- a testament to the fact that this is an authentic Italian restaurant, it is not served with a spoon!

The ambiance is understated elegance: warm, golden light encompasses the space of comfortable heavy tables and crisp, alabaster tablecloths. The music is relaxing and thoughtfully curated: Sinatra, Jazz, and a classical list of composers serenade softly in the background.

Above all the aforementioned pleasantries in a lofty league all its own is the customer service and care you are given the minute you walk in. The lovely Linda- Sal’s incredible mother, greets you with a welcoming smile and makes you feel right at home. Nelson will offer the best of the menu and make certain you are satisfied with your meal. Ann Marie will create a delicious drink for you and keep you company at the bar. And Chef Sal- to say that this space is an extension of him would be the greatest understatement. Every dish is so lovingly prepared, and he clearly thrives to make his loyal customers happy. There are good chefs, and there are great chefs. Sal is very much the latter; and he is as humble and down-to-earth as he is a great chef, something you rarely see.

The restaurant also hosts special events. Last night was ‘A Night in Calabria, ’ and it was incredible fun with a vast sampling of the local faire to the Region.

I’ve had Italian food my entire life, on four continents. The 808 Bistro felt most like the best of Italy.

It felt like home.

Went for Sunday Brunch and the place was completely empty. The live singer was lovely, the food and service were underwhelming. Probably won’t go again.

This restaurant is a great neighborhood find. The food is always on point and delicious. Staff is amazing and attentive. When you dine here you will feel like family.

Very pleasant experience. Had a feeling when first passing this restaurant and my gut feeling was right. Excellent service very cordial server we had that evening. Food was amazing! Further down the street from probably more frequented places that are more in the heart of the village, but I can assure you if you take advantage of stopping in you may never leave. Absolutely worth your time and anything you may spend on a perfect night out. The Deconstructed Canoli and fresh Napolean capped a beautiful night out!

We just moved to Scarsdale and tried out the 808 Bistro. We went for lunch and the food and service were both great. I had the 808 special bolognese pappardelle pasta and my husband had the crab cake benedict. We then went again last night for dinner because I was craving the bolognese pasta. I ordered the same dish, but unfortunately, it did not taste the same this time. Pasta to sauce ratio was way too off. All I could taste was pasta. My husband ordered the chicken and shrimp angel hair tomato cream pasta- same thing. Totally disappointed. We paid $170 for our meal (including drinks and kids meal), why go stingy on the sauce? I hope the restaurant reads this review and do something about it. 808 bolognese IS truly delish and I would totally go back as long as there's right amount of sauce!

I was recommended this place by my sister. Came for lunch, order from the prefix menu. The food was more than delicious. My friend had the boneless short ribs and I had the grilled chicken with arugula salad as main course. For appetizer, the whipped ricotta with roasted tomatoes, cauliflower teriyaki (mind blowing) and the taco. I'm definitely coming back here.
You will not be disappointed.

I wouldn't recommend. I ordered $100+ take out and was not pleased with any of the items. The mussels had a fishy smell - were not fresh- I couldn't eat them. The grilled shrimp was also not fresh and tasted rubbery. Other items were very salty and mediocre.

Everything was delicious. We all love our meals. Everything was well prepared. Every flavourful. I love the presentation. I will be back for sure.

Nice spot. Reasonably priced and a great choices for the pre fix lunch. The "general al" cauliflower was yummy!

I had the pleasure of scheduling a party of 25 and it couldn't have been easier. Linda confirmed all details and starting cost prior to the event. They even offered a personalized message on each menu.

My team enjoyed the food and drinks tremendously. They had a large dessert menu and coffee options after dinner as well. Everything tasted great and move smoothly. The staff was kind and efficient as well.

Really upset. I have been going here for a few years as my fiancé and I love the food here. Unfortunately we visited this Friday at 5: 00PM and when we walked in there was no host, only a waiter and a bartender. Okay no problem as there were 20 empty tables and only 2 other groups of seated guests. We asked if we could sit and the bartender said no, we asked the waiter and he said he didn’t know. We stood there for 5-10 minutes looking ridiculous. Even the other customers were confused why we couldn’t sit. The bartender went looking for the host but said oh I can’t find her. And literally no one would let us sit. If I was a manager or owner I would be embarrassed by this level of service. We walked out and they lost our business that night and most likely in the future as well.

New to the area so I’m exploring and it happened to be Hudson valley restaurant week. What a bonus! We had great food, drinks and even banter with the waiter. It is a small restaurant but very lovely. The food was AMAZING. Will definitely make a return.

Very cozy space. Staff were very attending. Intimate environment with great utilization of space. Had a few cocktails and light apps. All were to satisfaction. The pour was generous and the food was tasty and light. Glad I stopped in!

Waiter not so friendly. They don’t honor the menu specials with the excuse “it is a misprint”, oh come on, so fix the menu.

Found this place during covid. The family dinner special is enough food to feed a whole village. The chicken dish (it’s like a scarpiello but they don’t call it that) is to die for. Deff a favorite place for Italian food in Scarsdale/eastchester without going broke

I hosted my sister’s bridal shower here and it was perfect. The food was spectacular and the service was amazing. I wish I lived closer because I would be here every week! I can’t wait to dine here again when I am in town next.

Wow. That was the word I left with after experiencing 808 Bistro’s amazing cuisine. Some of the best food I’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying, a must go for anyone looking to try food just above the rest!

The staff was wonderful and attentive. The food was delicious. Everyone wore masks and there were plastic dividers between tables. The restaurant is cozy and beautifully decorated.

We have been coming to this little Bistro for several years on a weekly basis. When we learned that they were offering a take out curbside pick up how pleased we were. The selection is always great as is the food. Always, hot, ready on time and plenty. You place your order, them come out with a mask and gloves place your order in your trunk and you are on your way to a fantastic meal. Thank you Sal, Linda and staff for providing this service to your old and new customers. We cannot wait to start coming in on our weekly visits and seeing your pleasant and smiling faces. This spot always delivers. They serve fresh dishes for fair rates, there are no long waits even when they are busy.

I came here first for my birthday and it was the perfect celebration meal. The food was great, the location is easy to find, and since we drove we were pleased to see there was plenty of nearby street parking. (I’m sure coming by train would be easy too, Hartsdale has a stop on the Harlem MetroNorth line.)
808 Bistro also partakes in the great Hudson Valley restaurant week. We had such a great experience that we came again for that and same result! Great food, great drinks and great staff. You’ll feel like a local when you’re here. Highly recommend for a date or a nicer upscale meal with your family.

I rarely leave reviews but when I do it’s because it’s either been one of my worst experiences ever or one of my best experiences ever. This one was by far one of the best!

Yesterday was my families first time trying out the 808 bistro and via ubereats at that (cause we all know sometimes even great in house restaurant experiences are lessened dramatically when ordering delivery esp through a third party app). Yet I can say not only was this one of the most outstanding delivery experiences I’ve ever had- not just cause it arrived at the earliest ETA time but because the food was perfectly packaged to keep each item and topping hot and fresh and safe during the travel which believe it or not is far from a common occurrence like you’d assume AND the main course was in a reusable container that was microwaveable for a quick reheat which with such generous portions we did Infact eat it again as soon as we could fit more food in our stomachs haha.

So delivery is a huge success. What about the food though, you mentally yell! Well obviously the food was out of this world. That’s already a hugely discussed fact in every review that’s not from a tasteless zombie of negativity. It was absolute heaven and the quality was so fresh and quantity so large I couldn’t believe it since some restaurants with great quality fresh ingredients charge a ton for tiny morsels meant for nice not humans, but not the bistro. It was excellent.

Finally though and what made it stand out is even through delivery I could tel their service and customer treatment is just as out of this world as everything else I’ve listed - which is everything that matters from delivery to quantity to quality to taste the only part left to cover- service- is equally as excellent. I know this not only because of all of the above clearly being due to great service but because upon my note in my order where I had written it was our first time trying their restaurant they went out of their way to send an incredible mouth watering dessert for free. A hot gooey double chocolate brownie with whipped cream that my husband nearly cried from loving it so much I had to fight him for my half it was so good. The kindness that exudes and the level of customer appreciation it shows considering we were just first timers realy gave me such a feeling of gratitude because it’s rare to find that in restaurants anymore. Infact some fight you even if they are at fault and give you the wrong food and are nasty. But this amazing place went out of there way to show appreciation for a new customer so we’d enjoy our experience with them and they far surpassed all competitors. I will definetly be recommending them to everyone and I’ll be a loyal daily customer from here on out because that’s how great of an impression they made. Some places have one or two checks but they checked off every box that makes a experience great even through third party delivery and I’m glad we tried them!

Best Veal Capricciosa I have ever had. This is one of my go-to restaurants in Scarsdale. Italian food of this level just doesn't exist outside of this area. From the grilled calamari, to the sole francese, and of course the pasta. So lucky to have this in our backyard.

Most of the food we tried was pretty good and a change from the usual stuff. They could add some different things to their menu though.

I just had dinner at 808 Bistro. And I was blown away by the service was amazing. It doesn't get much better even the manager came out of kitchen and treated us like family. You will be happy with food and service definitely going back again.

I am usually not up in this area but was looking for a good spot to eat and found 808 Bistro. I was there with a few friends on our way back from Woodbury Commons and saw some of the online posts and pictures and decided to give this place a shot.

I ended up going with the Chicken Meatballs which were awesome and the grilled lemon shrimp for appetizer. Linguine with seafood and a bottle of Cab for my Entree. Everything came out quickly and I felt it was a great price for all the lobster and clams i got. It was a good amount of food for the price and the friends went with the Risotto and Island muscles. If you have a chance to visit this area of Scarsdale it is totally worth it. It was right across from the train and for a weekday the place was pretty busy. Overall great food and atmosphere will be visiting again to try out some of the other dishes.

I have been eating Italian food my entire life all over Manhattan, Arthur Avenue and even my mother’s kitchen table. This place made me feel as at home as my mother’s kitchen with their warm staff and wonderful service and the food will match up anywhere you go. You will see me again very soon! I don’t understand why this place is apart of restaurant week. We had a 8: 30 reservation and were seated at 9: 00. No problem, we had drinks at the bar. But once we were seated our whole experience was rushed. The bus boy came over to someone in our party 3 times to ask if they were done with their meal! By 10: 00 we were served appetizers, dinner, and dessert. When we asked the waiter why we were being rushed he said because they close at 10. We were not even finished with out bottle of wine when dessert was brought out. Too many better options up the block to deal with that attitude and service!

Solid bistro menu complemented by a modest wine list that is weighted toward Italian varietals. Nice food preparation and prompt service.

The food and service is really good. The guys are very friendly and this makes me coming here regularly!

Great meal! First time here and was very impressed by the quality of the food. Came on a Sunday evening and it was about half full. The the wait staff was working hard to keep up but were very friendly

Early Valentines day dinner with the better half. Had crab cake appetizer, lobster bisque and an arugula salad to start. Everything was fresh and delish. Had surf n turf special for dinner. Filet mignon and lobster tail. Both were cooked properly and were very tender. Better half had the lamb chops and not a single 1 survived. Finished everything off with an apple strudel and vanilla ice cream. Must order with entrees as it is made fresh to order. We got there at 5: 30pm just before the dinner crowd hit. It was romantic and the staff was friendly and attentive. Great to have a place like this in our community. Cheers

I've probably eaten a few hundred of these sandwiches at this point and I still find myself coming back. The bread is top notch, ingredients are fresh, Rafael cares and it shows. The guys he has working the registers always greet you and send you off with a smile. Bread is made in house. Awesome spot. Killing the game right now my dudes.
