Cashiers don't pay attention to what they are doing and scanned a case of gum for $24.99 to my order that I didnt see until 3days later when I went into that bag to start my baking
I can't fathom how there are only ever two checkout lines open and they choose to turn self checkout to 10 items or less. It's like every retail chain is forcing me to shop online.
The shopping cars are difficult to push, they are extremely noisy and dirty. I have to pull a cart and test drive it. If it doesn’t work, I pull another one. I do this until I find one that runs well. Other customers experience the same problem. Pushing a cart that is not well maintained causes my back, arms and legs to hurt. Cart problem takes away from the shopping experience at Target. Lack of merchandise, cartons of stuff seating in isles is dangerous. This store needs help
Not a good place to work at all. Work life balance is mediocre and several of the team leaders and executive team leaders are incompetent. Robberies happen way too often and the stench of marijuana is too strong. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
I placed a 6 item drive up order. I alerted the store via the app I was on my way. I arrived about 1 hour later and pulled into a drive up spot. I put in my drive up spot number and waited … and waited. I received a pop up that they were busy, that it would take a while longer.
After a while a drive up worker came to cat window and said two of my items were not in the drive up area and that she had went to the shelf but unfortunately they are now sold out of those two items. She says she canceled them and I would not be charged. I said “ their sold out “ she said sweetly yes I went to shelf that’s why it took so long. She then said to stay parked there someone would be out with a gift card for my troubles. Not that I needed a gift card but like a gullible dummy I waited fir another 10 minutes or so.
As I sat I checked the other items I did receive and one item was totally the wrong item! I got it refunded thru the app.
After while it was approaching 9 pm and I decided to go into the store to find replacements for the supposed out of stock items…. Low and behold Both items were fully in stock in their correct locations (used app to get to shelf location)
Angry now that I was lied to on both fronts I approach the customer service desk snd explain the situation. I want that gift card I was offered. In principle alone!
Anyhow, clerk was nice and helpful and listened and he provided a gift card.
However when I went to use it it was not activated!
The drive up pick up is so convenient. Until something from your order is missing. I order often and today was missing the Naked drink I ordered ($10). I have been calling the store for 15 minutes only to be repeatedly hung up on without anyone even saying hello. If you don't have enough staff to cover the phones, you need to hire more. It may not seem like a lot but every penny counts these days and I don't appreciate not having any recourse to get my money back.
Great store great employees everyone is so nice it's wonderful. Actually I used to work there was there for a long time 2013-2020 wow long time. Loved being cash register person I like being in control. I let the guest dictate the transaction they r always right. U saw a sign for a $$ 20 dollar gift card well here you go. Here are two ten dollar cards cause the system won't let you give one over 20.
This store started off good and now it’s terrible. They never have anything in stock. I’ve also ordered online and when an item appears in stock and I get a message they they are out of stock. This store needs to make sure their items are available. I end up going to another Target or Walmart to get what I need.
This place is actually the worst target I’ve been to the service is so slow and the recycling area is always so filthy I asked 5 people to empty the bins and all of them said they’d call someone up to do so I’ve been standing here for 30 minutes waiting for someone to empty this and still no arrival. Yeah he store inside is very congested and could use better staff. Update the staff member guy came and complained about the machine having roaches and not wanting to empty the machine. I told him alright I’ll come back another time. Who’s hiring theese poeple? Ur not getting paid for nothing
My wife saw that a ps5 bundle was in stock and put in an order for Pick up. The order said “ready” and then it immediately cancelled. My wife got an email saying we cancelled the order and that our money was refunded when we didn’t cancel it. We called in and they said that they were out of stock and were “expecting” a call from us. They clearly lied. This is a case of the workers holding the stock for themselves. This has happened at several stores.
This place is a mess. Toy section is always in horrible shape. Went to get eggs and the whole section was a disgrace. When walking around, the workers who put together orders want to run you over with their carts because it seems like they don’t care about shoppers at the store. I’ll continue to shop here, only cause it’s the nearest place to my home.
When it comes to fashion, Target has really slipped up over the last 3 years. Why are they still selling Little House on the Praire dresses? Ugh! And choices are soooo limited! I'm so disappointed.
My husband went this location for baby formula Enfagrow gentlease toddler the was none on the shelves mind your we check online before going to the store and it stated they had 9 in stock. My husband had to wait 15 minutes for someone to ask if they had any stock in another location or in the back room since it was showing they had.someone finally came after 15 minutes and just said if we got none on the shelves we got none the person did not even wait for him to ask if they can check the back. I tried calling the store no one answered. I ended trying ordering from a different store online.after getting it at a other location I went back to this target and ask someone and guess what they had it in the back room. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was available. I get with Covid things had changed and there is shortage on baby formula but this location needs better management.
This store deserves 0 stars. I've called for the last hour to get through to customer service and when I hit the 2 to get through the line automatically disconnects. Also I placed an order for drive up and I was told that my order was ready for p/u. I get there and they never received my order. I live 40 min away from this location and they had the size of the item that I needed only to be turned away. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.
Trying to call for an hour, someone picked up the phone then immediately hung up, then when I got a hold of someone to check stock for me they didn’t come back for another 20 minutes and then hung up the phone. Do not even try calling them, they never pick up.
These people NEVER answer their phone, called the store for 20 straight minutes never got a hold of a soul. Called HR, called customer service, called every department no one seems to want to answer the phone during NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS. Shame on this location.
UPDATE: After an hour and 20 mins of calling this location with still no one answering the phones (including HR) I finally made the decision to call corporate. At least they answered their phones. Put in a complaint about central Islip location and I will NEVER be returning back to this location again. Bad business! If they can't answer a phone call they are incompetent of doing anything else.
James! I hope you're seeing this. What an amazing Target employee. He is simply a cart attendant but needs more recognition! Not only did he help unload my entire cart of items, but he also was just the nicest man. Give this man a promotion!
I located what I needed easily and the price was right. Target is the store that I purchase my essential items from. The produce are always fresh, it's well rounded place that I appreciated and the hours are really convenient.
I have been coming here since this store opened. Never have I’ve seen the garbage pail outside in front emptied. Awful that it gets no attention through out the day! I blame management and as I’m waiting for store to open the parking lot is a mess. Birds scatter garbage all over! The TEAM at target need to address not just inside cleanliness but outside as well
This was my first visit in this store after 8 years. Store is very clean, organized, shelves clean, but quality has been improved compared to what Target had past 10 years back which make me stop visiting Target. Very impressed with Quality, and price.not crowded, not empty.
I rarely visit this store, but today my wife and I bought a pair of cell phones from a cellphone store thast is locate very close to this target.we decide to save some money in a cellphone protector (cover). we were wonder for a little in section that all cell phone cover are organized, however we were getting frustrated after some minutes. My wife decide to looking for some associate avaible to help Us. She had lucky to find Douglas who was very professional, helpful and courteous. He search with us, and we find what we need and he went beyong his description to provided Us the best costumer satisfaction I had ever see in this store. Thank Douglass for your support today
Inquired about a gift with purchase over the phone, was told they had some and would give it to me without even purchasing the required item. In the store, they said they had none and if they did I would have had to purchase the item for the gift. Whoever you are, you are a liar.
Dirty. I ordered food and the lady told she has no buns for the hotdogs, no pasta, just cheese pizza. The beverage area is filthy. The store itself seems ok but like is low on inventory or they were not stocking fast enough. Only one cashier line available and the self checkout.
So this store is actually a good store. Never had a reason to leave a review until today. So according to your staff and company policy if you're a cash paying customer your only allowed 5 bottles of Similac formula. Where is if your a WIC customer your allowed however many you want. I have no problem with that at all. But unfortunately my wife and I make to much to be eligible for WIC. I find it a bit discriminate towards cash paying customers. So my child is supposed to starve because I don't have WIC? Please change the policy before it becomes an issue. Or raise the price on your formulas so I can go else where. That's why they deserve 1 star. PS: target locations in areas such as commack, and garden City etc.don't have that issue why at this location?
We came here to print photos, the machines were off. There was someone behind the counter so we inquired about the photo center she had a complete attitude and help 2 others after we had been standing around waiting for 5 minutes (there was no one there when we walked in). Just disrespectful.
Purchased an item at the Target in Smithtown and didn’t realize pieces were missing until I gave the gift to my niece. I called the store and the were unfortunately out of the produce suggested I call out to other locations. Call the Central Islip location and I was placed on hold for 30 minutes! No one ever came back to phone and when I called back several times after no one answered! They even picked up and disconnected the call a few times. STRAIGHT RUDE!
This target location provided me with everything I needed. I originally stopped by because they were the only one within a 50 mile radius who had chimichurri in stock and I was really craving some chimichurri stirfry. Unfortunately, the chimichurri was gluten-free and did not taste the way I expected it to tase which is in line with the original Argentinian recipe. However, this target is well-stocked, a lot of staff, and even at peak hours I was able to get through the self check out line within five minutes. There’s also a Starbucks in here in case you need a shot to boost your morning or evening Before or after you’ve done your shopping.
This store should should check their inventory and shelves very misleading show one product with one price when you get to register is 10 to 15 dollars more when you ask for help you get the old I'm sorry that's in the wrong spot kind of like the old bait and switch
Very clean store the staff was straightening up shelves and very helpful with finding needed items. The lines were a little crazy but I’m assuming because of school shopping. I went to self checkout that line was fast and easy. Stay lit
I went there with my dog today and they said they didn't allow dogs unless they were service dogs! Last time i went they didn't say anything about bringing your dog with you to the store! Unbelievable! And it was dirty almost everywhere too! Although i really like this place, it still gets 3 stars for this! This store really needs more good services here for cleaning!
Lines are crazy if I took self check out and scaned people my self the u wouldnt have lines. 2 people on a saturday. Other employees around but just stare instead of hoping on register and helping get lines down. Crazy I use to work here and hardlines always had came up to keep lines down now lines to long to see down crazy
I spoke to the front end manger today because the entire parking lot was filled with shopping carts. All of the cart stalls were overflowing. He explained that they were short-staffed and so no one was bringing in the carts today. As a result a shopping cart went across the light and slid across the side of my car causing a deep scratch through the paint of my car and down to bare metal. It's not worth shopping at Target if my vehicle gets damaged by shopping there. Home Depot's lot is perfectly clean only 100 feet away.
I recently went to your Central Islip, NY location and was blown away by how dirty, and messy the store was. There was food and drinks discarded on the floors- items were strewn about EVERYWHERE. There wasn’t a store member anywhere. Just a mess!
I have a problem with Long Island Target stores stocking shelves while blocking aisles and the merchandise that I shop for.during work hours (In Central Islip, one of the worst stores for this reason, the shelves and refrigeration/freezer cases are insufficiently stocked. I find employees hiding while looking at their phones instead of making the store more user-friendly. On one occasion recently I complained to customer service about improper labeling in the dairy case which listed descriptions for sandwich meats when the entire area was stocked with cheese. The child manager I complained to identified herself as the "Human Resources Manager".
The next day I spotted her on her phone and she spotted me. Immediately she ducked down behind a merchandise cart as if she was invisible. Also, the labeling was not corrected by her or anyone else. The management expects you to scan all of your groceries under one of those price checkers if the prices aren't posted! Newsflash! I don't work for you. I am your customer and tired of correcting you. Fix these problems. This is what you get when shopping in the Central Islip store. Pathetic children run the place. Finally, the self-checkout registers are monitored by more children who could be ringing up your order instead. Numerous times the machines will not read my credit card, even though it is a brand new plastic one from the government who pays my military pension. It contains a microchip. It works in EVERY STORE including Target stores around the country and all places where I do business.except this one. Have I complained enough? Hell yeah! The staff, from management on down are very complacent when resolving these issues. I shop here only as a last resort. It shouldn't feel like I am going to work when giving them my hard-earned money. If I was the Regional Manager, new personnel would be brought in and the entire staff let go. Re-train your employees before you receive more bad press or lose your jobs. Enough already. For three years I have been putting up with their nonsense and it is getting worse.
Because I feel comfortable walking around this store. I can quickly find what I'm looking for, not like the store on Sunrise Hwy, Bay Shore, NY, which by the way is closest to me. The layout of that store makes me what to go and try to find what I want and leave. It's not a pleasant experience.
Customer service desk is well staffed and returns are made with ease. Check out is the same but more cashiers are needed. Do need more staff on the floor to answer questions.
