Tappan Zee Marina

Just stopped in for gas, it was a lttle hard to manuver the docks with the wind and water was a bit shallow, but it worked out ok. Super friendly and attentive staff!

I called to reserve a transient slip today. I told the guy I have a 3.5 draft he said no problem except the entire Marina is surrounded by 4’ of water on the gps. He said that’s not a problem. So I was coming in and ran aground. Sea tow to the rescue. Props need to be reset so here goes 3k - 4k in repairs. Thanks guys! When I told the sea tow operator where I was headed when this happened he said “say no more” The sea tow operator said that marina is a major issue for any slightly larger boat. Wish they told me that when I spoke to them 4x.

Captains beware!

Went to this marina to dock and dine. Coupla of hours. Andrew charged $60 for 2 hours. Newburgh only charges $25 with a much better selection of restaurants. This might have been worst marina I ever sailed into. Not only did he add tax to the bill but he called me to follow up on payment. Won't be back to this dump.
