Ailan is a master. Color, blowout, cut all done to perfection. I can not recommend him enough.

Went to this salon finally after being recommended and got an appointment the same day. I really liked the environment here. I had Loukia and she did a great job and was very friendly too. Will definitely be returning for her.

So one of the employees “manda” decided to screw my husband and break up our home with 3 children. And they allow this trash to work there

This is the second time I tried a tapestry salon and unimpressed. I went yesterday and showed pics of how I wear my hair and hairdresser said can do. Needless to say cut lots inches of my hair which I didn’t ask for and no style and very unhappy. Why ask how you wear your hair if the stylist decides? Here I am $172 later very very unhappy. I deleted their number and back to off 7th I go! Stay clear from Eduardo …scissor happy and does what he wants not what you want.

Been looking for a nice place for a while! And I found it -very knowledgeable and professional staff, great atmosphere!

Aleon, margarita and the fella who gave me the most Devine scalp massage…everyone…always…so professional and caring. I always feel like I’m walking in to visit family and walk out feeling like a million bucks…and I always get compliments on how good I look.

I Love Love Love Tapestry Salon. Dawn M.is the best Stylist and Colorist around. Kim, who does my nails, is so talented and such a sweetheart. My nails are always beautiful.
I recommend the salon very highly! If you haven't been here in a while, it's under new, attentive ownership!

This upscale Salon is the only Salon to offer Goldwell. Goldwell is a luxurious color line with moisturizing conditioner in the product and constitutes for low or no damage.
The back bar sink has wonderful high shine shampoo’s and treatments for optimum smooth and shiny hair.
I know my hair and color will always look and feel wonderful at this Salon.

Waited over 40 minutes for my appointment, then left as i was not going to waste any more time

Hairstylists were very rude and unprofessional. They were laughing at my hair! Right in front of my face. Because its actually nice thick hair and they are jealous of it I guess. Never come here!

Horrible staff and even more horrible customer service. Very rude to even their own customers. Save yourself the time and go to somewhere that cares about their customers!

Yesterday I had the absolute worse salon experience of my life.

I was made to feel judged, belittled, unmatching to the white standard of beauty and like my thick curly Hispanic hair was a dirty nest that was a burden to cut. The stylists and hair washers did not even bother to hide their disgust, outwardly whispering to each other while making begrudged faces and even looking at me with a questioning face waiting for me to approve their revulsion. It was as if they had never seen hair with curl or volume, and yet looking around the salon there were other people with curly hair that were being treated like normal human beings. The only difference is that I was the only non-white person in the room.

They kept calling for another stylist, Sebastian, who they repeatedly said may know “how to handle this. ” “This” being my natural hair, which somehow seemed to them like a wild animal that refused to be tamed. They also kept insisting in a patronizing way that they would need the Brazilian mask even though I have never needed one, on my own or in any salon. They were treating me so badly that I felt the need to take my mask off to show them that I am human.

While this was happening, another client who was sitting nearby commented “Wow, she has such beautiful hair, ” a comment that was in such great contrast to the way I was being treated and made to feel.

At the end of all this harassment, washing my hair and trimming the very bottom of it only took a few unburdened minutes. The rest of the time was taken with their racist drama. I refused to let them blow dry it because they were making such a big deal, planning to simultaneously dry both halves of my hair while subjecting me to unnecessary pain. Meanwhile, I blow dry my hair all the time at home and there is nothing unusual about the process. They continued to whisper to each other as I paid the $60 bill and then gave me a 50% discount for my next visit, as if they sensed my unhappiness and thought that would compensate for the toxicity they subjected me to.

To top it all off, my friend called them afterwards to ask if they were comfortable cutting thick, curly hair and they insisted that they were. In my countless times going to hair salons throughout Canada and various states in the U. S, I have NEVER been treated like this. It is unacceptable. The staff in this salon should not be allowed to touch people of color.

The atmosphere was great however i showed my stylist crystal what i wanted! I had virgin hair half way down and then blonde bottoms i wanted to go lighter she made me GOLD! I wanted blonde not GOLD! She did NOT use heat on me and that is rule number one in lifting the hair to a lighter color. It doesnt even look like she toned my hair and everyone keeps asking me if she even toned my hair! SUPER disappointed lesson learned I paid way to much money for what i Got and i will not be going back nor will i recommend this salon to anyone.

Love it here. Great stylists, always friendly. I've been coming here since they opened the Mt. Sinai location.

DO NOT TRUST Tapestry Salon, Alexis and Alian to do the makeup for you and your bridal party on your wedding day! As the stepmother of the bride this was such a big day in my life. I spent two years preparing every last detail including my look. The right dress, shoes, jewelry, nails and the list goes on. I of course wanted to feel comfortable, confident, and beautiful on this special day! All that planning was ruined. I was literally in and out of the makeup chair in seven minutes!

The hair and makeup team came to the venue (big mistake! If I was sitting in front of a mirror maybe I could have been more aware of what she was doing and stopped it?) She did not ask me one question about the look I wanted, or the colors I typically wear—nothing! Which is basically what she decided to do. After about five minutes she was done—really? I take more time with my makeup to go to the supermarket. When I went to the mirror, I was SOOO disappointed. The no-makeup makeup look was not what I was hoping for. When I told her I looked “washed out” Alian, who was now standing over her shoulder in an obvious rush to leave to go back to the salon for their next appointment came over with a contour palette and literally just started brushing contour all over my entire face.

At this point I was panicked. It was terrible! I was an hour away from home and my own makeup kit. There was nothing I could do. I looked in the mirror and was speechless. Alian asked, “more blush? ” At this point I was afraid to let them do anything. As far as I know Alian the owner of the salon does hair—not makeup. I said I would fix it myself and just like that he said “ok”, and they were packing up and out the door. I was literally crying in the car on the way to the wedding wiping big brown blotches of contour off my nose, cheeks, and entire face. I don’t know how much my daughter paid to have my makeup “professionally” done that day, but I do know I would pay at least ten times that much to be able to do it all over again.

My 13 yr old daughter went in to have a wash bangs cut and blowout. Just BANGS cut. Her hair is just past shoulder length, not long. They charged $45.00, for bangs and blowout. Way over priced. She didn't even have an entire cut. Will never go there again!

I had my hair cut and styled by Tommy and it was such a great experience! Not only did I absolutely love how my hair came out but Tommy was extremely kind and kept great conversation. I will definitely be returning:)

I used to go to the city to get my hair done, not being sure if I could trust anyone else to cut the way I liked. Then, one day, I stumbled into this place due to a Groupon I found for a facial. The lady (she no longer works here) recommended that I would vibe with Dawn B. Well, over a year later, she’s the only one I go to! Plus the staff is incredibly friendly and nice. Always a joy. Give this place a try.

Sam E was amazing. I made a drastic change of style and she tweaked it to make it amazing. I will never go to anyone else.
