My wife love shopping here, at first I was not sure about it. Cuz I’m from the BX. But let me tell you they have everything and it’s so well organized. Now we shopped here.
I enjoy coming here especially for food products I can't get at the supermarkets in my neighborhood. They have one long line that everyone ready to purchase stand on. And you would think with the line wrapping around the store you will be on it for hours, but noooooo. Super Foodtown has one person instructing/calling out the register that's up next. So far, I have yet to see or encounter a problem with them doing it this way. That stay open to 12am, so I can still take care of my late night cravings.
MANY of the 5 star reviews are fake! Ari X visited this market and was said to have had a horrible experience. Ari is well-known by MOST the establishments in Harlem: she was not fond of the customer service, the way the food is brung in RIGHT beside the garbage. As well as the people preparing the hot food don’t wash their hands and they cross contaminate when they DO put on gloves.
Love this Food Town. This Supermarket has everthing I needed and more. This Supermarket is so clean that it was a pleasure to shop. As a reminder please bring your own bags.
5/8/21, They make the BEST SPARE RIBS. 11/11/20, large store compared to outside appearance. The full array of cooked foods, soups and baked pastries tickled my taste buds. I was told the had Pathmark affiliations. I went to to get cat food and ended up with my Foods! Great experience!
Its a good supermarket, they have a huge variety of items, if you want it, most likely you will find it there. They always have sales, which is great. Depending on the time of day that you visit, you may or may not encounter a line, but no worries as it moves quickly. And lastly the supermarket is huge, so don't get lost inside
Excellent selections and customer service. Particularly a young new guy working in the juice section. He greeted and asked if I needed help. Good. To see that graciousness still exists.
On the plus side, this place has organic foods and a pharmacy. On the minus side, I’ve often noticed discrepancies between the prices displayed in the aisles and those that ring up at the register.
Great neighborhood market with a really wide selection of groceries. The employees are really friendly and the shelves are almost always stocked. My only complaints are that the aisles are organized in a confusing way sometimes. Also, you should double check your receipt if you bought things on sale - I've found multiple times that I've been charges the full, non-sale price (I was refunded the difference).
The employees are very friendly and helpful but I’m not sure what management is doing here—this store needs some serious help. There is no reason that every day, no matter what time, there is AT LEAST a 30-45 minute line. I see so many people just drop their food and leave. The line wraps around the entire store which is not safe for the pandemic. They need to have more cashiers, period.
Has a wide variety of items including organic, and health food (vegetarian/vegan). Great selection of produce and I love that I can get the majority unpackaged (loose produce). Store is clean and staff is at worst, ambivalent, at best, really wonderful! I think it is the best stocked grocery store in the area. Great option for a wide range of buyers.
The store was fairly crowded with an extremely long line. I must say the cashiers were on point and kept the line moving fast. Isles were stocked and the prices were fair along with some nice sales. Found everything I needed and was even surprised to find my favorite tea back in stock at a great price.
Probably the best option in the neighborhood. Anything I need I can typically find here. The prices are compatible to other stores nearby, but they offer decent sales. It is my go to market in the neighborhood when I'm not being lazy.
