Disappointing Experience with Discrimination

I recently visited this place and had an incredibly disappointing and hurtful experience. Despite being told we didn't need a reservation, we were made to wait outside in the cold while they questioned us about it. What shocked me even more was the discriminatory treatment towards my group of older Hispanic women (My Mom and Her Friends). Despite arriving together, we were seated outside in the cold with some heat lamps that weren't sufficient, while others who arrived after us were promptly seated. This blatant ageism and racism marred what could have, never been a pleasant dining experience to begin with. To treat women that became prosperous from this neighborhood before this arrogant crude gentrification process began is just sad. Me I'll get over it the food was bland, typical build out over menu approach that you find all over that once great neighborhood. That's why it was great 5 years ago now it's just more of the same mediocre bars trying to sell some eggs. To people who need to be seen. At best it was all a gimmick for social media no culinary thought or effort put into this place may as well just be a bar. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. No one should ever be made to feel this way in the place they were raised. So low brow to not map out your earning potential and have to put people outside with lamps to make it. That's sad as a business owner, just so low brow this is still NYC after all let get it together.

My absolute favorite spot, I wish they weren’t overbooked all the time. I do not recommend doing walk in. Reserve online!

Summer (the bartender) was amazing, they have a year ending pop up where they have special holiday cocktails every year for the last 6 weeks of the year. They appetizers were amazing and the cocktails even better. Their attention to detail was amazing, such a pretty aesthetic! Definitely check it out!

The dinner menu starts at 6pm, better to know in advance, for brunch the choice of food not so big.
Food was good, pig in blankets are definitely have to try, crab dip is ok, warm bowl is good, big portion and really good healthy option.
Service was just bad, so many people worked there, but no one taking care of you, and we were not in rush hours, the second thing - all the time they tried to take away unfinished dishes, it’s really disappointing

My breakfast was nothing less than "scrumptious. " I can't wait to visit Sunday in Brooklyn again. I live in Forest Hills & driving out to B. K.for the same dish again will be my true pleasure. Breakfast for 2 came out to $100 + $20 tip. Little pricey but very much worth it. Besides, you can't put a price on good good food. I had the Scrambled Eggs w. Cheddar Cheese lightly sprinkled with scallions, their one-of-a-kind sausage, their super tasty potatoes, a side of bacon, two 2 glasses of perfectly fresh freshly squeezed O. J, and my boy and me shared a Sunday pancake - a fluffy spongy like butter loaf covered with a (bit too) sweet caramel syrup that was thick and very rich in flavor. I'm not into the sweet sugary stuff but I ate it happily. I have never eaten a breakfast like this one. Loved it!

We visited Sunday In Brooklyn for brunch today. We had no reservation and fortunately were seated right away! The service was great, very friendly and our food came in a timely manner. We ordered the avocado toast to share and added salmon. That was very good. Enjoyed by all. One of us ordered the fresh orange juice, which was delicious, but the glass was half filled and it was a small glass, the price point was ridiculously high $9. We all ordered the cheddar scramble with home fries and a sausage. I can’t say I loved it, I felt the scrambled eggs were too watery, the potatoes were a little salty. My son felt the same way. I did not love the sausage, but my husband did. We were on the other hand very impressed by the order of single Sunday Pancake which we shared. It is absolutely delicious, very fluffy, literally a small cake! The syrup and butter just took the pancake experience over the top. If you must get something and you love pancakes…this is a must! The atmosphere was awesome, nice music. When we return we will def be having some pancakes!

Beautiful brunch vibes paired with awesome food and drinks! I ordered the hot chicken sandwich and the espresso mezcal martini. Definitely want to go back and try more of their brunch menu! Be sure to make a reservation if you are going during the weekend.

The food is great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. Overall, a great brunch place. It truly is.

This was my first time here, food was great and atmosphere was chill. Staff is wonderful. I definitely recommend the mole dish.

I came here for the pancakes and I was not disappointed. It was very unique and worth the trip. The hostess told us 20 minute wait and it was in fact 20 minutes. Shortly after being seated our waitress arrived and filled our water glasses and took our order. The food came much quicker than expected and the quality was great. The pancakes were delicious with their maple praline sauce and brown butter! So delectable! The chicken sandwich was also great. But I’ve had better biscuits and gravy. I wasn’t impressed with that one. But for pancakes it was amazing and I would definitely recommend it and will probably go there again.

We came here on a Sunday morning for brunch with my husband and really enjoyed it. It is a solid 4,5 star venue. And the reason it is not 5 stars is about the ambiance. The tables are very small and close to each other, and you do not enjoy the venue. You just want to eat and leave which is a pity. I recommend making a reservation as it is always very busy especially for Sunday brunches.
It is pricey as well but the food is great. Not too many options but whatever they have on the menu is very fresh and super delicious.
I totally recommend it for brunch. Avocado toast and steak & eggs were delicious. The pancake (even single serve) is a big portion and I recommend ordering it for the table.

We went for brunch while on holiday in Brooklyn. What a great spot! The food was incredible, the staff were friendly and helpful and there was an awesome 90s/00s playlist on in the background! I had an omelette with mole - the nicest brunch I've had in a long while. Definitely recommend

We came for brunch and it was outstanding! The egg and cheese sandwich and pancake were both delicious. The chai tea latte was one of the best I have ever had. On top of that, they have some of the best and quickest service I have ever had, our waitress Savannah was super nice and attentive.

I really wanted to like this place more because it’s so close and always busy. The service is great and FAST but the food leaves something to be desired. If you like traditional pancakes probably not the best place to go but would definitely recommend other breakfast items or the burger / chicken sandwich.

The staff really made this experience for me. They were super friendly and made me feel welcome/like I was a regular. I got the shakshuka which was good but not amazing. Maybe I just don't like shakshuka though there was a ton of flavor and the bread was a nice paring but when I ran out of bread I couldn't finish the sauce on it's own.

Great brunch spot to bring friends or family but must make reservation for the weekend. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day. Must try the Sunday pancakes, we got double and shared it with cheddar scramble and watermelon.

My friend ordered takeout for me and her. I ordered chicken sand which and she ordered a burger. My chicken sandwich had bones in it. Pretty disappointing, seasoning and flavor really good just the bone threw me off.

The pancakes were delicious, they were so soft and warm. The avocado toast was also really good, worth having the salmon or grilled shrimps with it.

The shakshuka was fantastic, also the avocado toast with extra eggs. We did a walk in and the hostess was super friendly: the service was quick and the place was not noisy. Loved it!

Had to wait a little for the table, but it was so worth it! Great food and great service!

We visited Sunday In Brooklyn for brunch on a Sunday. We had a reservation for 4 and there were no issues with waiting while some in our party were running late, although we weren’t seated until everyone arrived. The service was pretty good and it didn’t take long for our orders to arrive. The menu isn’t overloaded with options, instead focusing on the quality of the items that are available. I had an egg and cheese sandwich with avocado and it was delicious. The cheddar scramble with home fries was also great. We also got a single serving of the Sunday Pancake to split with everyone. It’s very thick and fluffy at the same time, with some great flavour - I highly recommend it!

Like the flavor and variety. The pancakes were sooo good and sweet. Fresh salads with lots of color available. I got the breakfast sausage scramble and enjoyed it. Good place for coffee and brunch. Sat at the outdoor table with fans, which was warm but not too bad.
