Atriz is the best! I have naturally curly hair and I have not straightened my hair in years, and she gave me THE best blowout! She’s awesome!

Great place for a haircut. Suggest making an appointment. They take walking as available. Really have never once had a bad experience and am happy every time I leave!

Every person I have gone to here has been so good. For the price I feel like you get very talented hair stylists who know exactly what they’re doing

Looked everywhere in the city for a blonde specialist and Sam is by far the best! Definitely recommend

So disappointing!
I was a regular customer and actually liked that place but I just had my worst hairdresser experience that left me speechless.
Had an appointment at 4.30 pm, got started with a 30 min delay at 5 pm, and asked for a blowout for curly hair. After reconfirming with the hairdresser that I want curly hair and not just beach waves, I got the straightest hair possible (see pic). I couldn't believe my eyes, and when I commented saying that I wanted curly hair, the hairdresser asked 'you want even more curly hair? '.
Since I was already too late for a private event and paralyzed by the outcome, I left the salon but after looking at my hair in a mirror again, I was so shocked that I needed to go back and I wanted to give them a second chance. I asked for a redo on one of the following days or a reimbursement. My request was declined and they only offered touch-ups that I couldn't take because I was already too late (30min delay in the beginning! And btw hard to believe a 5 min touch-up had repaired all of this). Mentioning all this to the receptionist/other crew members, I received the response that it must be me not communicating clearly that I wanted curly hair. It is so ridiculous and the entire experience literally blew me off!
Mistakes happen, and I am very reluctant to give bad reviews but receiving the complete opposite of what I asked for combined with poor customer service and being blamed for not clearly communicating my expectations is a bummer and I am still shocked. Couldn't be more frustrated and disappointed!

One of my worse experience in NYC. They made me wait more than 30 min just to tell me "I can not do that, go to a barber shop" when they made me the same haircut just two weeks ago.

I’ve been going to Sam at Studio 34 for 3 years now and have always had a great experience. His coloring is amazing and he always listens to what you are looking for. Can’t say enough great things about him and the salon!

Sam at Studio 34 is truly the best hair dresser I’ve ever gone to. I’ve been dying my hair blonde for a decade and I’d never once found a consistent person that gave me good results until him. If he ever moved I would literally follow because I will never let another soul touch my hair. Also just super kind and wonderful the entire time as a bonus. Ultimate professionalism and I recommend him to anyone that will listen! Can’t say enough good things

Sam is a great hair stylist. I tried so many hairstylists in nyc before finding Sam. He is meticulous and has great attention to details. Everyone friend that I recommended Sam to has been extremely pleased

Absolutely love coming here! I've been a client of Sam's for over 2 years now. He is extremely talented, reliable, always on time and simply the BEST! No matter if I'm coloring my hair, cutting or getting a blowout - I'm always in the best hands and leave feeling amazing. My hair can be challenging at times (it's very long, thick and curly), but thanks to Sam, you would never know. The other hair stylists and receptionist (Monica) also do great work and are so nice! I would highly recommend visiting Studio 34 and booking an appointment with Sam. Pro tip: Book in advance (they are always busy!)

Sam is amazing for any cuts, blowouts, color and balayage. Highly recommend Sam! The solan is great, everything is very clean and the staff is accommodating, but Sam goes above and beyond!

Love getting my hair did here. They listen and do their magic. I finally found a spot I like. $60 for cut and dry, not bad.
