Great environment until mistress walked in, but I was able to restrain her with the bone of my tomahawk steak. Once she chewed through that, the entire restaurant evacuated and we were forced to call a SWAT team.

Excellent NY traditional steakhouse is here! I brought my clients from Japan there, and they LOVED Strip House Steakhouse!
Our server was very kind and knowledgeable in wines and food, we enjoyed his talk, food, and atmosphere. Even though our T bone had lots of fat, we were happy with appetizer, steak, side dishes, and we ended up ordering more, and stayed over 3 hours.
I'll definitely bring more business clients for business dinner in the future.

Steak as excellent as wete the potatoes and cocktails. Staff very attentive. Prices are crazy high but it's a Steakhouse in NYC! Worth a revisit

My boyfriend and I came here back in early June after signing our lease to celebrate our move to East Village. Our server was so kind and just made the night even better. We told him we just moved to the neighborhood and welcomed us with champagne on the house! So sweet. The food was delicious and good portions. The ambiance was nice as well. Loved this place so much and will be back soon

Service was great but the food is horrible. Gave me and my gf a horrible stomach ache and made us sick the next day.

Normally I don’t like to leave bad reviews for restaurants but we spent close to $300 and would highly recommend people don’t waste the money. So many better steak houses in ny.

I have worked in restaurants for over 10 years and have cooked many steaks. The medium rare they sent us still had silver skin and uncooked sinew on it. Stay away!

Superb experience at Strip House!

Excellent, attentive service. Delicious food - the apps and sides in particular stood out.

The steaks were par for the course for an upper tier steakhouse - I had the filet and enjoy every bite. Simple seasoning did wonders!

Make sure to save room for the signature chocolate cake! It’s ENORMOUS!

This is the spot, something about the red seating and the red lighting makes this place feel great. All around great food and amazing service. Great spot for people watching and a great spot for corporate happy hours. I am 100% coming back next time I am in Midtown.

Awesome food, class staff, word to the wise, they cook thier steak to perfection, so if you're from Ireland and you think you like your steak rare. Take a step up, rare = rare plus or medium rare. Excellent, top class

By far the best steak I’ve had! It was perfectly seasoned and the select few sides were amazing. I’d recommend getting the lobster mac and cheese as a side and the baked Alaska for dessert.

I have never had such an amazing steak before! It haunts my dreams! I didn't get to try the desserts but all the more reason to go back for seconds!

No words. This place was AMAZING! The atmosphere, the drinks, and last but not least the Steak! Please kiss the chef. Hands down the best steak I have ever eaten. I am going to recommend this place to everybody I know. If I wasn't already in the city the drive would have well been worth it. Thanks for helping make my lil bro's big 30th rememberable.

Not the same strip house of old. The Asian influence on the bacon doesn't really work for me. You cant taste the goose fat in the potatoes nor the truffles in the cream spinach. No nuttiness on the dry aged strip either. I admire their longevity but it's fallen some notches with me.

Excellent service, ribeye was perfection. Note to self: get the goose fat potatoes & creamed spinach again.

The best NYC steak house I have been to for the quality of the food. Excellent steak, surprisingly affordable, top quality service. Loose definition of business casual so don't worry about changing your clothes.

One star deduction because all servers were white men while all support staff who don't get tips were people of color. ALL of them. It was extremely uncomfortable because it gave off mid-2000 Abercrombie vibes-it speaks to a management choice about who gets to work the floor vs who does the 'invisible' work.

This place is exactly what I call an excellent steak house for its price. Places that are $$ usually have a lowered quality meat that is very noticeable. And $$$$ are too expensive for most standered patrons. A place like this is at the top bell curve of all $$$ steak house in NYC. Great service, great atmosphere.

A classic New York steak restaurant. I had the dry aged New York strip. It was cooked perfectly and very delicious. I added a wedge salad which was great. The creamed spinach was not my favorite, but I tend to like a plain butter, flour, and cream concoction. This had black truffle and a slightly "slimy" (for lack of a better word) texture. Will in all my experience was wonderful. Waiter Keith was very helpful and friendly.

A very cool place, has a great atmosphere, feels old-school but more upbeat than Peter Lugers for example. Yes not cheap but never felt like anything didn't deserve it's cost (Bacon maybe, but even then it was really good). Wine is solid too. Had a really enjoyable evening!

Best steak I have ever had. We also ordered the hassleback potato, mac and cheese, and raw oysters which all tasted great. Fancy environment and great service.

Great steak ordered bone in ribeye and oysters with some old fashioned. Drink wasn’t good but the steak was awesome and servers were friendly. Romantic vibe

The food was really good my wine was meh. I wanted Riesling they didn't have it. I had the house special Buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes appetizer along with the salmon w/baby kale & butternut Squash coconut puree.

Professional service, knowledge, curtious, attentive staff. Steaks and side dishes were incredible. Desserts are delicious. Great cocktails and deep wine list. It was an exceptional dinning experience from start to finish. So happy I went. I'll definitely return!

Service was impeccable. My father and I shared the dry-aged NY Strip and dry-aged bone-in Rib Eye. Both were exceptional cuts and cooked to perfection. If you prefer a slightly more tender and more caramelized steak, go with the Rib Eye. You cannot go wrong with either. Got the Au Poivre sauce just it case.neither steak needed it even though the sauce was delicious. Must haves: Roasted Bacon, Shrimp Cocktail with fabulous cocktail sauce, perfectly cooked Herbed French Fries, and the steaks mentioned above. This is a rare steak house that is worth the price. Looking forward to going back again soon!

They walked by me for several minutes before the nice waiter finally greeted me. Was about to walk out and spend my money elsewhere but he was so warm and welcoming. The lady who seemed to be in charge treated me as if I was going to dine and dash. Wouldn’t let me sit outside with all the other guests so I sat inside (I had left my wallet at home and was awaiting my boyfriend to come with it) (all the non POC were treated way better) As a woman of color I’m sad to say I’m used to this type of treatment, today I simply wanted to spend some money on myself at an expensive restaurant after getting a good bonus payment. Could have done without the profiling that seemed awfully racially motivated.

Side note: I love how they play all black artist music but have barely a drop of color in their staff or customer base. _^@^_/

Edit2: I found myself narrating my moves because I realized the last was watching me while I was enjoying my catch of the day. My boyfriend finally arrived outside so I asked the waiter if I could go get my wallet (assuring him I’d be back by leaving my phone, jacket, and expensive headphones on the table) he seemed to not be worried but as soon as I came back in with my wallet the lady popped out of nowhere to “take my payment”. She had no indication that I was done or anything. I also noticed that there were cops outside (to which my boyfriend said one of the wait staff was pointing indoors to indicate someone). I may be paranoid but they didn’t order Or pickup any food and I was the only guest indoors at the time. I gave the lady my debit card and immediately left. They were ridiculously expensive, the steak was sub par in flavor and not cooked as requested. $55 (Asked for medium rare, it was simply pink which led to my boyfriend feeling sick after eating it.) my catch of the day was absolutely amazing but realistically not worth $42. My overall bill with tip came out to $179. I’m happy I treated myself but am likely not to do it there again
