Took my daughter for her birthday, as per her request for her 11th birthday. We had an awesome time, climbing to the top. Awesome fairy and museum.

This was amazing to see a beautiful gift given to America by the French. The boat tour to the island to see the statue was smooth sailing and we had amazing views of the statue on the Hudson River. You need book tickets prior to going inside the crown of the Statue of Liberty and I unfortunately did not do that. The migrant museum was also incredible and I did not know New York used to be called New Amsterdam and the highest number of European migrants to the USA are actually not British but the Germans. German was going to be the official language of the United States of America but it lost by one single vote and even today the USA has no official language.

I haven't visited it but it is beautiful. I only know that the entrance costs 30 euros, the truth is that it is quite expensive but it is very worth it.
I also recommend a visit to the financial district.

Really enjoyed our time at the Statue of Liberty. The lines were not long, and the weather was perfect. You get beautiful views for pictures all over the island, especially of the New York city skyline.
There is a museum, gift shop, ice cream stand and a cafe when we visited.
The museum has the original torch inside and many other interesting artifacts.
I would highly recommend taking the time to come here.

The only con was all of the helicopters constantly flying over the island.

The boat crossing is nice to take the photo a little further away, because on the island, from the front, the photos are not so good because they are very inclined.a matter of taste.the museum that tells the history of the construction is well cool. I thought the food there was a little too expensive, it would be interesting to have a self-service option. I didn't climb the pedestal, as I would have had to pay another ticket.

They don’t accept any refunds even though the reason is emergency weather. There is flood emergency, but I tried to get there. However, some of subway didn’t work, so I knew I couldn’t make time. Also, it is dangerous and difficult to get there. I called and asked them to refund a ticket. But they said I should have done before 24 hours. It is ridiculous. They don’t care about their customers even they have serious reasons and situations.

The Statue of Liberty is an awe-inspiring monument that captures the essence of liberty, hope, and the American spirit. Its towering height of 305 feet and 6 inches (including the pedestal) makes it an unmistakable landmark visible from various vantage points in New York City. The statue's design, which was created by French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi and its framework designed by Gustave Eiffel, is an engineering marvel that continues to amaze visitors.

The statue's significance lies not only in its impressive appearance but also in the message it conveys. With her torch held high and the tablet inscribed with the date of America's Declaration of Independence, the Statue of Liberty represents freedom, democracy, and the welcoming of immigrants to the United States. For many immigrants arriving in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, seeing Lady Liberty standing tall as they entered New York Harbor was a powerful symbol of hope and a new beginning.

Visiting the Statue of Liberty is a memorable experience. The ferry ride to Liberty Island provides picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline and the statue itself. Once on the island, visitors have the option to explore the statue's pedestal and museum, and some may even climb to the crown (tickets are limited and must be reserved in advance). The museum provides fascinating insights into the statue's history, construction, and its symbolism.

While the experience is undoubtedly enriching, some visitors may find the crowds overwhelming, especially during peak tourist seasons. Planning ahead and booking tickets in advance is highly recommended to ensure a smoother visit.

In conclusion, the Statue of Liberty is an enduring symbol of freedom, a testament to the enduring friendship between the United States and France, and a reminder of the ideals upon which America was founded. It is an essential destination for anyone visiting New York City, and its cultural and historical significance make it a must-see landmark for both Americans and international visitors alike.

Paid a visit with the family on a sweltering sunny day. Purchased general admission ticket using their app and took the ferry from NY battery park.

The security check-in was brisk and flowed well. Had to wait for the ferry in a large queue. But they come every 20 odd minutes and the queue drains quickly. The ferries are also clean and a pretty short trip to the island.

On the island itself, we used the audio tour (included in the ticket) to learn about the statue and it's history. This is the best way to do so and I'd suggest you start here.

We didn't have tickets to the the pedestal and beyond (can only be purchased in advance).

The liberty museum was fantastic and is also a must visit!

If you get hungry, there is a cafe and a drinks stall. And there are toilets conveniently located

Overall, enjoyed the visit. It was well thought out and worth the time and money.

The Monument is really beautiful. The park is very well maintained. You need to take online or counter tickets from Battery Park which costs around 30$ per person which includes pedestals of statue of liberty and Elis island. The Park is equipped with restrooms, cafe. The personalized souvenir was fun at Museum.

Great visit with Audio guide included in the ticket price.

Be careful, do not go to the ellis island snack/restaurant, the cans are crazy, the food is infamous and the service deplorable. Take your picnic

The beauty of the Statue of Liberty is unparalleled and incomparable to anything in the world. It is a monument of national pride but also a magnificent sight for tourists. The ferry to the Liberty Island is a scenic pleasure to our eyes, the chilly winds and the top deck seat makes the trip a memorable one.

One of my best NYE Celebrations ever looking at the Statue of Liberty with all the incredible -and long lasting- Fireworks. Unforgettable

The statue is a figure of Libertas, a robed Roman liberty goddess. She holds a torch above her head with her right hand, and in her left hand carries a tabula ansata inscribed JULY IV MDCCLXXVI  (July 4,1776 in Roman numerals), the date of the U. S. Declaration of Independence. A broken shackle and chain lie at her feet as she walks forward, commemorating the recent national abolition of slavery. [8] After its dedication, the statue became an icon of freedom and of the United States, seen as a symbol of welcome to immigrants arriving by sea.

Bartholdi was inspired by a French law professor and politician,  Édouard René de Laboulaye, who is said to have commented in 1865 that any monument raised to U. S.independence would properly be a joint project of the French and U. S.peoples. The Franco-Prussian War delayed progress until 1875, when Laboulaye proposed that the French finance the statue and the U. S.provide the site and build the pedestal. Bartholdi completed the head and the torch-bearing arm before the statue was fully designed, and these pieces were exhibited for publicity at international expositions.

A place that should be visited only in the summer. In winter it's a complete no-go. Just a statue like any other. Expected it to be much bigger.

My first visit to the place after I moved to New York from Bangladesh. It was amazing. All hail Lady Liberty!

If you're visiting NYC, I highly recommend the visit to Liberty and Ellis Island. Great place to learn about US history from immigration, relationships to other countries, etc. This can be done through either audio guide or a National Forest ranger walking tour. I liked the walking tour with the rnager vs hearing the audio tour.

One fair warning, avoid liberty Island dinning. At least the hot food, my cheeseburger was a hockey puck with the orangest radioactive cheese I have ever had seen. I would of raised a stink about it, but I was jet lagged, sleep deprived, faint, and low blood sugar wise. Not worth the the price tag, lack of taste, and look of it.

Simply beautiful, staircase closed and tourists are unable to climb all the way up to the torch. Tour offers spectacular views and new York's skyline is beautiful, definitely breathtaking. Do not hesitate and get off the boat at Perry Island it's museum is worth the visit, lots of history and interesting facts.

I remember coming here a little more than 20 years ago (pre-9/11).
So much has changed - Liberty Islands evolution is magnificent. Ok, due to the pandemic Lady Liberty was closed yet. But the museum and the audio guide are really great additions to roam the island on your own pace and time.

A must see! Unbelievable to see this statue in person. Great self-guided museum with the original prototype statue designs and massive full scale torch, face and feet displays.

If you arrive late to your trip, its okay! The cruise comes around every hour. I boarded from Battery Park and you have to go thru security. If possible, go visit every island and explore! Its a cool experience.
