It is an experience that is worth trying while in NYC. I got the tickets online (Crown access) and was very happy with the result. Staff was friendly and quick, starting from security up to ferry staff. Everything went smoothly. P. S take the first ferry.way less people than in the afternoon:)

Go straight up and stand on the right side for the best photos!
Beautiful and great place. If you go with time, the better.
One detail. I went with a thermos, which is also an electric kettle. They didn't let me pass and THEY DON'T HAVE OBJECT GUARDS. So it was quite a theme. I had to leave it with the street vendor outside, trusting that he would be at the exit. Yes it was!

The ferry pick up every 25 minutes, which is great. The ferry ride itself provides excellent on board narration, and spectacular views of the Statue of Liberty. The ferry staff is very helpful and watchful for everone's safety getting onto and off of the ferry. They also clearly communicate where the ferry is going. I shed tears at the Statue of Liberty museum. Makes you proud and thankful to be an American! The National Museum of Immigration at Ellis Island is a must see as well!

Very incomplete information on the ticket company's site. Unclear where to meet -we were rushing around the park looking for the right entry and were late. Unclear what time boarding starts - for example, if you purchase the 3pm ticket it says "3pm is for security line" but then once you open the ticket you receive it says boarding at 2: 30pm. We didn't see boarding time was different till we arrived. We arrived at 3: 10pm after searching for the entry to go through security - and we were told that security had already closed and boarding had finished (in a very rude manner to add to that).
Disappointing experience, especially considering how many prople from around the world try to make arrangements using such incomplete information.

We waited for the return ferry for 1 hour and 40 m.the ferries were full and could not be taken.

Many queues and there is no child-friendly area with carts. The staff does not tend to help families with children. I RECOMMEND BUYING TICKETS IN ADVANCE.

This review is for a cruise on July 16. Then there was a huge weather breakdown, a terrible storm, it was pouring like a shower. The staff chased a whole group of people to the wharf and made them stand in this rain. On top of that they shouted at us, they were very rude. We visited completely soaked. Nothing pleasant. I don't know how guests are treated in the US but in my country it's unthinkable to treat anyone like that!

That's very weird, it's written that the Thanksgiving hours are from 8: 30 to 3: 00 PM and u visited today and everything is closed.

The cruise takes you to The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Both of which are a "must see". Ellis Island may stir your thinking regarding immigration.

This was a very nice and safe cruise. I purchased the tour ticket online from the official website which cost $30.80 and included the Pedestal tour. There’s a security checkpoint before you enter the boat and it closes at 2pm. Be sure to wear a mask!

Booked pedestal reserve tickets to see Statue of Liberty (ferry taken from Battery park Manhattan). Here are somethings which I wish I knew before going:

- Reserve ticket time
Apparently this is the time you can enter the security check point at Battery park before you board the ferry. However, I got there 45mins before my reserve ticket time and had no issues getting through security (this was a Sunday though). I wish I went even earlier to give me enough time to see Ellis Island as I booked a 2pm ticket without knowing that I wouldn't have sufficient time to see both.

- Pedestal Reserve Ticket (2pm ticket)
2pm tickets MAY NOT GIVE ENOUGH TIME TO VISIT ELLIS ISLAND! Even though I was 45mins early to get to Battery Park for my 2pm ticket and got to Liberty Island at 1: 35pm I still didn't make the LAST FERRY at 3: 25PM FROM LIBERTY ISLAND TO ELLIS ISLAND. The ferry to get to Ellis Island is the same place as where you get off at Liberty Island. Basically the ferry goes from Battery park -> Liberty Island -> Ellis Island -> Battery park.

I recommend the Pedestal Reserve Tickets over the Reserve Tickets as it gives you more access to the grounds of Liberty island.

- Printed tickets?
You don't need printed tickets, they can scan the tickets you have on your phone

- Which side of the ferry gives the best view from Battery Park?
Get on the side that is next to shore (not the side next to the water). That way you're on the side closest to the Statue when the ferry approaches Liberty Island. When you leave Liberty Island, get on the opposite side for best view.

- Lockers
There are lockers located outside entrance to pedestal reserve as you are not allowed backpacks inside the pedestal area. You just need to put a quarter in to use it.

In good weather this group likely runs in tip top shape. Traveler tip: A Big However, when it is raining or foul weather be prepared for super slow entry and very little shelter to keep dry and they are big on standing in lines in the rain while they make decisions. There are normally venders at the line, because they see this often, selling ponchos for $5 and umbrellas for $10 which is 1/2 the price you will do and them in a souvenir shop.

Beware, there are "ticket agents" walking around Battery Park selling "tickets" to Liberty Island when in reality it's just a boat ride around the island. Avoid these walking ticket agents at all cost if you want to step foot into Liberty and Ellis Island. To get a ticket, there's a ticket booth at the fort area and that's the only area to get a legitimate ticket. The tickets are very cheap, if I remember correctly it was 24 dollars a person.

After buying the ticket, there will be a building near the port where it's like an airport security style checkpoint, and expect to wait in a very long line for almost an hour to get into the ship. Ship takes you to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. We had a very good experience.

Museum of Immigration on Ellis island is impressive, absolute must-go if you are interested in the history of this country.

My first trip out to the Statue of Liberty was great I wish I knew we had to get a separate ticket to go up. Misinformed tourist. Also they should have a section where you can retrieve items my husband was unaware a pocket knife is not allowed. It got confiscated

Wish it wasn’t crowded but I guess that’s why they’re doing well. Beautiful sights and happy times.

Worst experience ever, bought tickets for the 1pm ferry, had to go through security as if it was and airport, after the whole hassle with the stroller, was told that the ferry was full and had to wait for the next ferry that was leaving at 2, unable to get off the line. The officer at the security check were extremely rude and condescending. Will NOT recommend this experience.

The Statue City Cruise is well organized and prices are reasonable. Expect to go thru security before boarding. The ferry back and forth including Pedestal visit 196 steps up was a half day of fun. Highly recommended. Pro tip. The bathroom inside the Pedestal is less business and kept clean.

It was a nice experience and very quick to get into the ships, however they get a little bit crowded so if you want a good spot for pictures, be quick to find a place. There are food and snacks for sale, and it’s very nice when you are getting closer to the statue.

City Pass works great but you need a separate ticket to go up the Statue. Also, you need to clear a security check before being admitted. Since Covid, they have done scheduled tours/reservations but they did not check any times for us. Seems like you can get your ticket and go whenever you want.

Got to see the ESB with my City Pass and it was definitely worth it. It was a little crowded but still manageable. I could still get around without any issues and take photos from every angle. I went at sunset and I believe it was the perfect time. The sky was purple and Orange and made for a great backdrop to my photos.
