Spa Castle

It's good and beautiful, very relaxing, I'm looking forward to the remodeling to see what they added. I only went once before they closed but I look forward to going many more times.

This place is defrauding people by selling expiring Groupons while being closed down without any date for reopening. Stay away!

Purchased a Groupon they offered for their "Grand" re-opening. Unfortunately, there was nothing GRAND about it. The ONE opened pool was basically people soup (meaning it was extremely crowded). The outdoor are closed with signs everywhere stating their closed by the Dept. Of Health. Children running around so do not expect to relax at SPA CASTLE and their food was very much lack luster. Not to mention, I was given old condiments for the nasty burger I purchased. The most definitely should have held off this grand re-opening. I do not recommend and I will not visit again!

I used to go to Spa Castle before they renovated, and I expected a lot post-renovations. Unfortunately, my experience was subpar. Colors changed, some updates… but honestly, most of it remained similar if not the same overall. For the new price, I don’t know if I’d go again. On the other hand, the Korean food on the top floor is actually legit and pretty good, so you can give that a try. No more sushi though… I found the bathing and saunas to be pretty much the same with some minor tweaks. Nothing crazy new. Take my review with a grain of salt, but before renovations, I haven’t been in a long time, and this is based on my memory of the place a loooong time ago. Check it out, but if you got time, go to NJ for sojo:)

Spa castle is an amazing one! Self care is very important, on any day it would be recommended to pause and relax at Spa castle! It offers a wide range of amenities where you can spend within your means based on your option. It has four floors including a restaurant. I had gone on a Sunday morning where it was not crowded. The cleanliness of this place cannot be emphasized enough and the staffs are accommodating. The massaging services is one of the best one I had received so far!

Went to this spa years ago and just visited area recently so made it a point to go again since I loved my experience years ago. Very disappointed, mold on upper tiles of outdoor pools, most jets NOT working and others are on continuously, broken waterfall area and Lantern Flies All over the roof top area. The flies were in the pools and landing on our bodies which made it very streeful. Owners must do a deep cleaning and repairs. Interior amenities were very clean. Had a $9 Bubble tea which tasted good but not many pearls and some were hard and tasted old. This place was a Gem years ago and was sad to see how deteriorated it had become on the rooftop area.

I liked the place, some water faucets don't work, that's why I would give it 4 stars. There are drinks, there is food, snacks. For the massages I give 5 stars I gave myself the one with volcanic stones and it is the best I could feel. Excellent.

First timer today with my husband. We did not stay as long as we wanted. It was a little cool outside. We had a couples massage that was amazing. Best massage ever. The hydrotherapy pool was wonderful. I would have liked to stay longer, but the weather did agree.

Overall family friendly but they really emphasize on “NO PDA”.
I wouldn’t recommend for those that are looking for a couple getaway. But they have affordable prices which is nice.
Prices were $60 for the weekend and $50 for the weekdays. The drinks were pricy but good overall.
They had nice saunas that gives you different types of therapeutic aromas and vibe.

This has always been a go to for my family and I. Kid friendly and all. Wonderful little get away for all occasions.

Love the place! Trying to go back soon I just wish that I could buy their entrance fee on Groupon as I found I can't.i love all the multiple saunas they have which are free you can get facials, massages. Etc. Those cost money, as for the food their prices are reasonable.

Our group (8 girls) have never been to this location prior to our July visit. I am solely comparing this to my Dallas visits pre-Covid. Some of the other girls have visited other Korean spas and made their comparison with those. Covid really changed everything.

Cons - An employee told me they no longer provide the clothes/robe, towel and shoes anymore since Covid, which is very disappointing. The website did not state this… and I read the website before our group decided to plan a visit. Customers do not respect the processes, the rules, etc. We saw many individuals not follow the rules.the saunas in the main level were not hot throughout (If you stood, you could feel it. If you sat down on the ones that had a bench, you could feel it. If you sat on the floor, you could barely feel the right temp.)

Pros - the pools and saunas in the private women only area were fine.only con was multiple ladies did not follow the rules.

Overall… our group will not be coming back.

We went in summer time, everything was so relax. The only Spa that accept kids. My daughter enjoyed too. So much fun. I recommend the scrub massages. Be advised first floor, in the pools, you have to be naked. This is no mandatory but when you realize that you are the only one in bathing suit, you feel uncomfortable. Don't worry, they separate men from women. A lot room saunas. We will back again.

When we found out with out couple months old baby girl that water is to disgusting to put her in there cause there was not only foam on the water but food in it too.
And I got a lovely present from the STD Castle.yeast infection so people if you love your health.skip this place

Things have went downhill since 57 closed. Done expect exceptional service and cleanliness like before. The prices aren't helping either.

I been to the Spa Castle in Dallas which is great. This place has everything you expect: Outdoor pools, saunas, food, drinks, lounge areas, steam rooms, showers, open 24/7, etc. Reason for one less star is the high prices of $60 and they offer no uniforms like the one in Dallas.

It s amazing.some pools still not open tho but me & my husband enjoyed the pools & sauna. The 4th floor has movie theather area & fitness room also smoking area open roof top with nice view bronx bridge & pools from 3rd floor. This place has fallen apart the jets don't work, steam room is out of order the saunas are not as hot as they should be and the ice room is not cold at all. Get your priorities in order. How do you shut down for renovations in November & fix nothing What a dissapointment

I've only had great experiences here with friends. I feel very relaxed and rejuvenated after each visit. I like to go in the early evenings until it closes. It looks so much more beautiful at night. I can't wait for the renovations to be completed to visit again. I am long overdue for a spa day.

Can't believe the bad reviews on here. My wife and I almost didn't go because of them. We were legitimately worried we were going to be let down but we went for the first time anyways and we're glad we did. The place exceeded our expectations by far. The pictures don't even do it justice. The place is much larger than we thought, it's clean, not crowded at all (Tuesday during the day is when we went), and 85% of the facility plus it's amenities were open & operational (i'm sure things break from time to time). $50 to get in and stay for the whole day is insanely cheap for what you get. Alcoholic drinks were below average NYC prices and 15% gratuity is automatically included. I'm sure Spa Castle was better when it was brand new but it's still very nice. We didn't encounter any kids because it was a school day when we went but i'm sure that can be annoying. Kids should only be allowed on certain days/times. We got 90 minute couples massages and they were amazing. Definitely bring your own flip flops or buy a pair in the store for $10, also bring a robe to walk around in, and bring your bathing suit & a towel. They give you a towel for the showers but it's not very large. Glad i brought two of my own. The hot tubs on the first floor off of the girls & guys locker rooms are clothing optional (no gender mixing allowed). We did not go in those, but the pools and hot tubs on the 3rd floor are all bathing suit required. All in All it's a really great place. It could use some updates and renovations here or there but overall it's a great deal for the money. Sojo in New Jersey charges twice as much but that's our next spot to check out so we can compare the two side by side.

Went there with my friends this Tuesday. I was told by the front desk that men's whirlpools are fixed how ever it was not fixed. We also asked clerk to fix the temperature and light at steam room, but request was ignored.the floor at steam room was extremely cold. I hope it will be fixed any time soon and I will continue to enjoy services instead of leaving reviews on internet with my friends.thanks

I've heard so many horrible stories about this place, but I always like to experience things for myself. It was actually a nice spot and very relaxing. Super clean as well

After a relaxing day at spa castle, with the limited services, it was enjoyable. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the staff and everyone was kind and friendly. My experience ended on a low note because the evening manager had poor customer service and was Rude, Disrespectful to me and my clients. After spending the entire day and getting serval services, this manager was not catering to the customers. Please beware it is not worth spending your money here if you will be treated less than a person. I am highly disappointed and embarrassed of how I was treated. She did not try to resolved the situation, she also escalated the temperament of every customer trying to check out.

Always a pleasure to come here and unwind. It's very clean and the staff are very professional. I'm particularly fond of the hydrotherapy stations on the third floor.

The mens locker room is disgusting. I told the staff what’s happening and they didn’t care. It’s not a place to relax but people go here with bad intentions. I felt unsafe and stressed. Want my money back

Very nice place to go with family members, weekdays not a lot of ppl and will have the warm pool to your selves, the burger was good too

They raise prices, they do not provide shirts or towels any more food very limited. Sad it use to be really nice before won’t be coming back

I’ve been visiting for several years, despite the awful reviews, and have enjoyed myself, until now. The entry fee is much higher, and on my last visit more than half of the jet machines weren’t working including at least 6 stations with exposed wires in the water, which made it a bit hard to relax to say the least. The bar pool had a panty liner floating in it and smelled faintly of mold and the other was murky and smelled so bad I instantly exited and wanted a shower. There was also a creepy dude following my friend and I around. I spoke to the manager and he thanked me for my opinion.
If you’re going to spend this much money, might as well go to a nicer place like Bathhouse where you can still actually get a massage.
No refunds in case you were wondering.

This place is crumbling. None of the water jet buttons work anywhere-they have been broken since our first visit months ago and despite extensive closures for repairs nothing was visibly fixed or addressed. Combine terrible facility conditions with Covid precautions and this place is stiffing customers by charging full prices (which continues to increase periodically) for amenities that are no longer included and facilities that do not function properly. They claim they replace all water in all pools daily but judging by the cloudy water that cannot be the case.

Water bugs crawled on my husbands foot and in the walls while we were getting a body scrub they said they would not refund me or do anything about the situation. Horrible and dirty place I would never go back there or recommend anyone to go there.

Took my sister for her birthday, it was a huge disappointment - tldr; broken down / hazardous, no free drinking water (even w massage), wouldn’t recommend. Alcohol? Strong, Halloween cocktails & a mediocre massage were the only plus of the visit. Food? 89 cent cup-of-soup ramen sold for $5. Water? Not even a small cup after spending $200 on a spa package or with a purchased cocktail. What spa doesn’t provide water? ! Options to hydrate were $4 bottles or the bathroom sink - Purposely using Covid to charge for bottled water by disabling water fountains “temporarily” … however face masks weren’t required and everyone had to have proof of vaccination to enter so clearly it’s just about making more money. Facilities were falling apart, the saunas were dirty, stained & broken (example, the “ice” room was 70, dripping and smelling of mold/mildew), floors cracked & tripping hazard (a woman fell hard and got very hurt during our visit from wet floors, bc shoes and sandals aren’t allowed) pool jets didn’t work & the ac was broken in the spa so the therapist had to bring in a fan to make the massage bearable. Wouldn’t recommend.
