Southern Tier New York Welcome Center

One of the best welcome centers in the US. The folks that work there take pride in keeping the facility clean and orderly. Great coffee and good sandwiches. We had chicken salad with apple sandwich.

Excellent to take a break going to Canada.super clean and with facilities. CAFE AND BATHROOMS.

Cute rest area. Has a small shop with locally sourced products and a café. Clean bathrooms. They have pit toilets which is kind of weird outside of a campground, but neat from a conservation perspective. Smallish parking lot that was pretty packed when we passed through.

I love this rest area very clean and quiet place.
I reccomend this for everyone really really clean restrooms and so quiet waking up with birds chirping.

Very clean rest room and plentiful stalls! I had to watch the no water flushes and the bubbles to clean bowls!

Best rest stop along a highway I have ever been in! Clean, beautifully decorated, wonderful locally produced goods for sale. Amazing.

Only stopped to use the bathroom. Everything flushed, there was soap, and I dried my hands. Would highly recommend stopping here for anyone!

This is a really nice Welcome Centre. They have a little coffee and snacks bar there now so you can get a coffee and a muffin or something which was very welcomed. Clean and attractive.

What expectations do you have for a rest stop? Clean facilities and maybe a quick bite and a drink for the road. You could finish up your gift shopping here! The offering is totally farm to table from Local producers. The breath of products blew our mind. This place far exceeded our expectations.

Clean facilities for travelers! And a nice self service food court, too. The I Love New York sign was a fun attraction for most, who took photos!

Beautiful facility, nice clean restrooms and sit down area. Store has drinks and food choices.

A very beautiful rest stop with a room to set and enjoy the view of the surrounding valley. There is a playground area next to the rest area to keep younger kids busy

We arrived at the Southern tier welcome center. Just after 7pm so didn't get to see what they had in the gift shop. There is a vending machine area with snacks & drinks.
They have waterless toilets and I don't know about warmer days but we felt cold airflow coming up from below, not the most comfortable feeling, but at least there was a bathroom, so I guess we shouldn't complain.
Otherwise, it's a very nice rest area.

Always a stop when returning to NY on I-81. Very clean and attractive property, clean bathrooms. Food and vending machines available.

This rest stop/welcome center is beautiful! Spacious, clean, beautiful views especially in the fall. I loved all the local New York goods that are sold here. Nice selection of food and drink options, and there are also several options in the vending machines.

As welcome centers go, this one takes the cake. You want maps? They got 'em. You want clean restrooms? Check. Some snack options? Yup. NY souvenirs? Uh huh. A NASCAR race car on display? You betcha! An INY sign with a beautiful backdrop? You guessed it.
