Worst experience ever. Totally rude, careless, and unprofessional. I cannot make that clear enough. Do not do business with this company. Had a car scheduled for one time, tried to call to reschedule because we had a change in flight time, no one picked up the phone for over an hour. The car arrived and I explained the situation to the driver. I called back to dispatch and finally got ahold of someone to reschedule who said my voucher was void because I didn’t call to reschedule when I did. The call ended with her yelling at the top of her lungs. Again, worst experience ever. I would give zero stars if that were possible.

Rude lady dispatcher by the name of Sandy. Literally screamed on the phone. The owner knows this very well but doesn't seem to care. Anyone who states this is go on to be told by the owner that our staff is courteous and we have phone recordings which is a complete lie. I mentioned her name as well and there is no action taken. There are multiple negative reviews about her attitude.

Guys please make sure you review the right Skyway Car Service. A lot of people who review this Skyway Car Service Express also give a bad review for the one on Union Tpke. That Skyway Car Service is not affiliated in anyway with this location and do not work with American Airlines. The other Skyway Car Service is 20 times better than this location hence why they have a better rating as well.

This was the most horrible experience. Very rude customer service representative. Poor customer handling. Poor listening skills. Poor responses. Hanged the phone on me twice. I need AA to know this and follow up. This is a company to avoid. I can excuse anyone else but a customer service representative that is rude and crude. This representative was screaming at me and remarked “ obviously the traveller does not speak English” How and why can a customer rep say that of customer who she does not know or even met? Ridiculous!

Its my first time in NY and was requested to take a Skyway car service taxi. My call this morning to schedule a call through a call Centre was the worst experience I could witness.having a Kenyan number, I could not call from Rockville Centre hotel. I witnessed the rude exchange of my relative who was polite asking for a schedule of taxi with a customer experience agent. She disconnected the call twice from the other end. I will never use this service. I guess the response will definitely anticipatively be " BAD CONNECTION". I have persuaded my contact not to post and upload it because it will kill the business. How can you label a customer that " Obviously the customer does not speak English "**How does she know. **" You are not Customer I am not supposed to speak to you". Gosh

If i could give less than zero i would. Their phone operator is one of most rude people you will encounter. This is the service that AA uses when they cancel flights. They take forever to get to the airport, they made me wait for over 20 min and decided to take a taxi that was readily available. Had a voucher from AA to go back to airport ans i had to use them. I called them the next morning at 7.14 am to book a car for 5.30 pm that day. My new Flight was at 8 pm. Called to confirm at 4 pm. They confirmed. At 5 they called me and said they wouldn’t be able to pick me up until 6.15 pm.
The man in the phone, another horrible human being.
Worse service ever. If you want to get to the airport, or anywhere, download Uber. No wonder these type of companies are going out of business
(The pettiest part will be when they answer this review trying to “justify” their bad service like that would help at all. Skyway staff: don’t even try. You have no redeeming arguments)

STAY AWAY, this people offer a car service that helps people that get stuck in JFK to go from the airport to the hotel in case flights get cancelled.
If Sandy picks up the phone, she will hang up on youif you start asking too many questions, it doesn't matter if you are being polite or not, believe me, I tried. I had my dad at the airport without a local line and without speaking good english, so basically we where left to our own devices, I had to end up spending my own money and time to go get him and solve the situation. I hope they don't apply their costumer service skills into picking up good and responsable drivers.

Avoid at all cost! Black passenger van had a musty smell and the seats were wet. Horrible service. When they picked us back up (since this was the only company with American Airlines) the hotel had to provide plastic for the seats. There were sharp pieces of wood in the trunk. Very hazardous.

Called my cab took 25 mins to arrive then when we got to my destination I asked how much it was an he told me the price an kept saying plus tip make sure you tip. Asking for a tip isn’t a good look I told him I’m gonna tip you but you should be demanding. Very unprofessional

Unbelievably terrible! The management is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced with any small business, and the lady who answers the phone to coordinate dispatch is inexplicably and incredibly rude. I have never had such unwarranted hostile interactions with another human.
I was given a voucher from and back to JFK after my American Airlines flight got canceled. They are advertised as a private car service but cram multiple passengers into cars and create long/inefficient routes (added two hours to my ride on the way from the airport and an hour back to the airport) presumably to collect and bill multiple vouchers as individual rides.
For my pickup back to JFK, she called last minute and asked if I could be ready an hour before my pickup time, and when I said that wouldn’t be possible she started yelling at me and calling me names and proceeded to hang up on me before I could even get a word in edgewise. Then the pickup was significantly delayed beyond the pickup time and they refused to connect me to the driver so I could find out when he was arriving.
I felt unsafe and threatened in my whole experience with Skyway, and would strongly urge American to drop them immediately as a partner. After an already stressful flight delay, this is an even worse nightmare.

TERRIBLE - Flight got cancelled at JFK at 3: 10am I got a voucher from the airline and because I leaved 40 minutes away every single driver REJECTED driving me I waited for 1: 40 minutes. Also the drivers wanted to get my voucher after I gave up BEGGING to have someone to drive me home so they could cash it out as they did the job. They are rude and don’t speak English. The operators are helpless as she told me no one will drive you at this time because it is too far… ABSOLUTELY ABSURD.

Terrible. This is why Uber is currently overtaking the car service industry. We tried to redeem a voucher from JFK after a delayed and eventually, cancelled flight. When we called for, we were immediately put on hold for 15 minutes to a entire sales robo call detailing how they're best in service and can schedule a car anytime. Finally after two attempts, we were put in touch with a rep, Kenny Chan, who has the personality of a slice of bread. He was unprofessional and not at all empathetic. He told us we were to wait an hour and a half for the car to arrive and counting the travel TO the airport, would result in us losing our flight. It sounded like they didn't have enough drivers so they were grouping passengers. Why do you not have enough fleet and drivers? You're in the car service industry! They all probably went to Uber. I really hope JFK or any airlines reconsidered their partnership.

Looking at all the reviews here and the response really goes to show how terrible the service is.

Edit: response to owner: this was never instructed nor communicated by JFK nor your dispatch. Nice try, and judging by the response reviews to your customers, you fail in providing what is core to your business: providing service.

Awful experience. I was assaulted as i sat in their vehicle at JFK at night. The driver left the window open which allowed a random person to yell and spit in my face. When I called to report the incident to their customer support i was told it was not their responsibility to keep me safe. They shared their driver noticed w random man pacing the terminal before my pick up (yet the window was left open and door was unlocked) and it was not their problem what occurred. Young women traveling alone please beware! I’m lucky i was not trafficked.

This is a horrible and very unreliable service. I would give them a negative star rating if I could. I will NEVER use them again and I highly recommend that nobody uses them. Walking is a much more reliable option.

My American airlines flight got cancelled and I was booked on an early flight the next morning. AA arranged hotel and transportation services for me. I scheduled my Skyway transportation service the night before. The next morning, they were a complete no-show. I was supposed to be picked up at 6 am. I tried calling Skyway numerous times. Finally, a lady answered and said my ride was in route and hung up on me. The interesting part about that call was the lady never asked me where I was or my name, so how did she know my transportation was on its way.

At that point, I desperately went the Uber way. I did not want to miss my flight. I fly frequently and the Skyway Car Service Express is absolutely the worst and most unreliable transportation service that I have ever seen.

Do not use this service!

In response to the below owners response, the lady on the phone from your company was very rude, unprofessional and hung up on a customer. Bad business. Furthermore, there was very little traffic that morning. The Uber driver had no problems getting to me and driving me to the airport on time.

I first had to schedule my Uber ride and the Uber driver still arrived to my hotel prior to my pre-scheduled Skyway Car Service vehicle.

Amazingly, the Skyway Car Service owner has a response for every compliant. Fortunately, I was finally able to connect with American Airlines corporate offices to voice my compliant against Skyway Car Service. Without surprise, I was told that there have been numerous complaints filed against Skyway Car Service and the airline was in the process of securing alternative transportation options for the New York airports.

As I have previously stated, I would not recommend Skyway Car Service for any transportation need. A one year old baby is more reliable than this car service. Walking to the airport is a much better option than using Skyway Car Service.

Awful experience!
Everything was bad. I had a voucher from American Airlines because of a delayed flight and I couldn’t redeem it.
The lady who answers the phone does it with unusual rudeness and mistreatment (anybody can check this).
At the time of the appointment at my hotel nobody showed up. I called again and the same woman yelled at me saying that I was who didn’t show up. I had to take a taxi.
The experience going from JFK to the hotel was (almost) equally bad. I’d give them 0 stars if I could.
American Airlines: Please review your partnership with this company in NY. Any low price that you are paying to them is a very high price all around.

We were provided a voucher from American Airlines after a cancelled flight to take us to a nearby hotel for the night. When we called dispatch the woman was rude and condescending. Pickup at the airport was completely disorganized, drivers didn’t have any clue who they were picking up, how many people or where we were going. The car was a complete piece of junk! Filthy and literally falling apart.
I give two stars instead of one because the driver the next day was on time. His car was just as bad though and no air conditioning (instead he opened the windows all the way on the highway)
American Airlines should rethink this partnership.

The absolute worst experience of my life, I had to use their cab service because my flight was delayed and the have an affiliation with American Airlines. The customer service was extremely unpleasant and very unprofessional. Honestly is better to pay the extra money to no travel with them.

Horrible customer relations and fleet management, unless you like being talked down to.
To top it off.our SCHEDULED pick up car was OVER a half hour late; unsure if it ever arrived as we took an Uber instead. Just ridiculous.

We were given a voucher for this car service from American Airlines and it was an atrocity to say the least. We called for a car the night before to arrive at 5AM knowing how bad NYC traffic can get during rush hour. Funny that they promote that their motto and specialty is “timeliness”. The driver didn’t show up till 5: 35AM and when he does arrive has no idea that he needs to take us to JFK. Two other people were waiting for LGA flights and so he decides to drop them off first since their flight was earlier than hours (an unnecessary detour when we clearly communicated we needed to go to JFK). The driver claims that he would get all of us to our destinations in time for our flight. The other passengers with us who also called for a car at 5 AM had 30 minutes to spare before their flight. The driver was extremely rude, arguing with us and teaching us about NYC traffic. I have lived in NYC for 20 years. The car was also run down and the seat belt doesn’t work which is truly a safety hazard.

The lady that you called on the phone yelled at me because I called her in two different phones. They made my 60 year old mother wait an hour and a half in the cold and then they almost refused to take her because of a “rude call”. Don’t ever use this service

Car book 12 hours in advance didn't turn up. First they said I don't book it, then that the car arrived 30 min before time, but another guest from the hotel took it. Sounds nonsense. Just to explain - not my choice of the company. Apparently though, it is a company of choice for American Airlines.

Horrible service logistics when it comes to airport pickup and drop off. The dispatcher doesn’t indicate what car to look for or any contact number. They don’t do it either going to the airport or from the hotel to the airport. The other piece is that they don’t tell you that you have to wait until the van is full with people before the van can leave, so when you ask for a pickup time, there are other people you have to wait for and it isn’t on your time. I also called the dispatcher for some assistance on getting more information about how long we would have to wait and if I could get my own car. She was not helpful.

I also want to call out the unprofessionalism. First, the phone line is always busy and I had to call multiple times. After I spoke to the dispatcher I didn’t seem to get anything helpful from the conversation. In the middle of the call she put me on hold, while the dispatcher spoke to the driver on speaker phone. I listened to the unproductive conversation. She didn’t know I was still on the line because she hung up our line once she finished with speaking with the driver. I didn’t bother to call back because I knew the outcome.

My advice would be to call a minimum of 12+ hours before your flight to schedule a pickup. Confirm if it is an individual car or van. Make sure you tell them your flight time so you can leave a few hours before since it will be the regular NYC traffic.

Already coming off of a canceled flight so not in the best mood, we get free taxi vouchers for this company to bring us back to our apartment, fine. American Airlines uses this company.

We found the car and left the airport, then the owner calls the driver to go back to the airport to pick someone else up. Just for context there are the of us in the car, my partner, 2 year old son, and myself, and the owner wants us to share!

I call the dispatcher (who happens to be the owner) to see if they can send another car so we don't have to share. He said we would have to get out and wait.

Overhearing the driver talk to the owner, that would mean waiting for this particular driver to make the entire trip for the other passengers, before coming back for us (likely at least an hour to make the round trip). Not sending another driver.

In the middle of COVID, what a joke that this company doesn't even have individual cars for their customers. Or maybe it's the airline picking the cheapest company where the owner is very unprofessional.
Fortunately the owner did end up sending another car that would take multiple single passengers.

Would not recommend. Just the loop back to the airport wasted another 10 minutes, luckily there was no traffic because New York on a Friday night can get gridlock. American Airlines, if you're reading this, just get a partnership deal with uber or left and don't mess around with shady companies like this.

Edit:
Owner responded, couple of things.

1. Driver confirmed that they were indeed the assigned number that the dispatcher told us, so the dispatcher assigned us to share with someone else. Even if we took an earlier car than what we were assigned, the other passenger could take our car instead of defaulting to us sharing. All it means is that the company intends for passengers to share in the middle of COVID.
2. The bag was the driver's bag that we accidentally took in addition to our luggage, so we wanted to make sure the driver got their stuff back. And it took less than 5 minutes for the driver to loop around to get back their bag. Not sure why the owner would charge a customer for that

To be clear the driver did nothing wrong here, but the owner forcing sharing and looping back to the airport doesn't sound like good service to me.

The driver literally screamed at me. He seemed either drunk or unhinged. The van REEKED of cigarette smoke. Like my clothes were permeated for hours. Just get an Uber or take the bus, worth the money.

Their fares are not the same all the time, I use the service many times and always get charged $25 dollars,
today I got charge $30 for no different reason, I I have taken a metered cab since I live next to an expressway and it's no more than $22 I feel like if I am recurrent user I should actually get a price

Whenever I am in Fresh Meadows Queens, if I should need a car service, I always choose Skyway Car Service, always on time, driver is usually courteous, polite and respectful and professional. I never have a problem with Skyway Car Service, I highly recommend them.

First I would like to mention that after reading these reviews I've realized and recognizes the names and most of the 1 star bad reviews are from two ex drivers and 3 reviews from the competition. I've worked at this company as a driver before and live in the neighborhood. People have nothing but good things to say about the company and its drivers. A few drivers are less than perfect and people are taking advantage of that by writing poor reviews. Most of what I see on here is not accurate. Me and the drivers i know of never smoke inside the vehicles and often times passengers have tried to light cigarettes in the car and when we tell them they cannot smoke they are upset. If i didn't move on to my career i would gladly go back to working for Skyway. The owner treated me well during my time there. I hope this clears up some misinformation.

Big cancellation on my flight.more than 200 people standing at the terminal at JFK at skyway quickly organized and helped us get to our destination. All they asked was for an honest opinion and feedback. They made it clear they are not asking for good reviews but the courtesy and direction they gave was excellent! Will recommend again.

The minivan that picked us up was dirty and smelled of smoke. The driver drove aggressively and fast in an unsafe manner. Then when we arrived at the destination after missing our exit and not being able to figure out how to get into the hotel’s parking lot, the driver brow beat me for a tip after a thoroughly unpleasant ride. Next time I will decline American Airlines’ free airport transfer and take Uber or Lyft where I know I will get a safe ride in a clean vehicle.

The male dispatch is rude when you call in to ask for a cab and he always has an excuse for delays. Neither courteous nor punctual. I took a cab twice and I will not be calling them again considering my experience. There are better local car service options.

I called this car service today 12/24/18 at around 1: 30-200am in the morning. I gave them my exact address and building number. They called me saying they were outside, I come down with my 2 year old daughter outside, then proceded to wait outside the building an extra 10 mins for the cab to arrive. When finally the driver gets to my location (he was parked 3 buildings up with his headlights off, my brother had to Flagg him down) he starts asking question if I’m the person who called and how many passenger hes picking up. I told him it’s only me, my daughter, my wife and my brother. Then he said he can’t take us, for no reason whatsoever and leaves me in the rain in the middle of the street with my 2 year old daughter and family. I called the base and the rude lady hangs up the phone on me when I explained what happened. This is THE WORST SERVICE I’VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.you don’t leave a man and his 2 years old daughter in the middle of the street while it’s raining and freezing cold. This is UNACCEPTABLE. This business should go broke and it will with this service.

I have been using Skyway Car Service Express for several years they are located in my neighborhood and is always prompt and courteous whenever I render their services. Their staff is always polite and the drivers are always friendly and helpful. Their cars are always clean and I like that they offer coupons and senior discount to their customers. If you are looking for a reliable and safe car service I would highly recommend them.
