My go to place to get my haircut. Even after I moved out of the neighborhood, I still go here, specifically to Eugene. He does a great job every time. The warm face towel at the end is easily my favorite part

Eugene is probably THE best stylist I have ever had. My hair color, style and health has been fantastic since I started going to him. He is always professional, nice, and honest about his approach to how he wants to treat my hair. He has an excellent sense of style and always does what’s best for me and not for his wallet. When I first sat down to get my hair cut, Eugene said that he was going to make me look like a celebrity. I thought that was just a figure of speech, but when I walked out of there I truly looked and felt like a celebrity. He was absolutely incredible! As someone who has only gone to places like Supercuts for haircuts in the past, I can truly appreciate the difference between an amateur and a professional hair stylist. Eugene listened to what I wanted and executed it better than I could have ever imagined. I could not recommend this place any higher. Getting your hair cut by him is worth every penny! He really knows exactly what he's doing.

Been coming to Steve’s shop for about 5 years now, every part of the experience is fantastic. Every barber is good, not an exaggeration. Lena is my barber and she is fantastic but if you can’t get her, any of the others are great!

Eugene highlighted and colored my hair (blonde) and he was AMAZING! And so incredibly FAST! I thought the quality of the highlights would suffer with the speed, but it did not AT ALL- his work is subtle and beautiful and so very blonde. I’ve been getting my hair highlighted for 5 years and I’m very impressed. I’ll be returning!

Don’t waste money at the trendy barber shops on Franklin Ave. You’ll find better service here for half the price!

Best barber shop in crown heights. Service here is excellent and all the barbers are very experienced. They will help you out with figuring out what sort of a cut you want. Igor is the best but he gets busy so make sure to make a reservation!

I normally go to a different salon but they had no availability this week so I booked an appointment at Sheer to get my hair coloured. It went so bad that I am considering shaving it off if my stylist can't fix it.
I showed a picture to explain how I wanted it. I definitely didn't want my whole head to be coloured, just a few streaks but my colorist responded that the picture isn't that great and that we knows better. Tbh, I don't mind the wrong colour (the first color was a disaster. It was way off from what I wanted.) as much as the fact that he choose to ignore the aesthetics I asked for and dyed 50% of hair into something that makes me look so bad that I can't step out of the house with open hair. I paid ~$180 and wasted 4 hrs.
I was told that if I don't like it, I can come back to get my hair dyed to it's original colour for another ~$50.
My suggestion, stay away from this place for any colouring job. It's not worth paying a hair stylist who doesn't want to listen to your concerns and wishes.
It's also the first time I wrote an online review. You can only imagine how bad it went for me to write this.

I came here after a botched haircut and Eugene did a fantastic job fixing it. I've gone to him for my cuts ever since; he is always very meticulous and takes a lot of pride in his work. I'd definitely recommend this place for reasonably priced quality cuts.

I got my hair cut and colored by Eugene and I am very happy with it! He is very personable and knows what he is doing - very intelligent, he's a trained stylist. Has an eye for what looks good on you and how to give you what you want!
