It has products that are not available in Europe. However, I think the employees are quite aggressive in sales and mislead customers just to earn more commission. I spent $200 on products because the employee told me that I would be entitled to a free product of my choice and in the end I was entitled to a sample that wasn't even chosen by me. I didn't like it and I won't buy from Sephora again.

I’m usually extremely pleased with the customer service I receive at Sephora stores, this location included! But I had an experience last Friday that really soured that thought. I placed an online order in the morning and picked it up as soon as it said it was ready. Only 3 of 8 products were in the bag and the woman said everything else was sold out. These were all things I needed so I took a quick scan and almost all of the sold out items were very much in stock. For reference, I’m not a Karen, and was very apologetic when asking for assistance, but every associate I talked to including the manager were unfriendly and unhelpful. They said I had to repurchase and that a refund had been processed. I still have not received my refund and am very disappointed with how the whole exchange went.

This is the second time this week I go in for a color match on a foundation and two employees told me they could not help and had to call for assistance. After waiting about 8 minutes, just standing in the section, no one came to help so I went out to find another employee who also told me she could not help because she needed to get a tool. After waiting once again about 5-6 minutes for her to get said tool, she never returned. Same exact experience on two different occasions. So I had to walk out and head to a different location to see if they are able to better help me.

Shopping experience, appearance and impressions are more important than the product you are looking to purchase. It starts with organizing and maintaining the entire store, if not, you lower the value of the product and the shopping experience, like a poorly managed discount store. Hiring the right Management and Staff that want to be the best, that want to grow professionally with serious commitment, with additional interest of learning everything about the business, is powerful and that Shoppers can pickup on and boost their shopping experience, allowing Shoppers to get a sense of their purchase is money well spent. Management would have to have honest and respectful communication to all employees, All of this can attract more upscale Shoppers with more spending power. Be More than just a Store, which can be more than just a name, extending business potential and untapped business potential.

As someone who goes here a good 2 times a week, I normally have an okay experience but for whatever reason this new rotation of hires are the most disrespectful Ill-mannered people I’ve ever encountered. I was snapped at for opening a drawer to check for a product since no one was near to help me for a good 5 minutes. The girl said “i can’t have you opening drawers” to which I said no one was here so I opened it. The girl then snaps that “there is no more” which I figured out when I opened it big brain. I was fine waiting for someone to open it but no one did so I did it myself. Then when I got to checkout I was snapped at again by the cashier because like customers do I walked up to the counter ready to pay. She put her hand up at me like I was a dog and snapped for me to wait to which even her coworker looked shocked. She then fully walked away from me and turned her back so I had to go over to the other lady who seemed apologetic enough. Like I said I’m in here at least twice a week and those two disgustingly rude workers did just enough for me to return every last item I bought here this week and never come back

I checked the one that I wanted was in stock at this location. But when I asked for it, the employee was like "can't you see? It's not there? " LOL she did not even bother herself to just open the bottom drawer in front of her.

Today I was helped by Ariella, and she was amazing! She helped me to discover new products, and applied products on my face with such care and detail. I hope she is working next time I visit!

There are many Sephoras that I love, but this experience was mixed. The woman who helped me with finding facial care gifts for my teens would get a 5-star. However, the reduced stars was due to the register staff. The young woman who helped me was obviously over the Christmas holiday crowd and never even looked up after ringing up my $100+ purchase. I won't come back to this location.

Stop in yesterday (12/27/22) right around the evening rush; and I must say that the customer service was definitely a great vibe! When I first walked into this Sephora location the makeup artist were all doing their professional thing! They were so engaged with their clients, and the clients look happy. The fragrance area was my favorite and everyone working in the fragrance area we're so friendly. Overall the floor staff was welcoming and honestly it felt genuine and not forced. It's great when you go into one of your favorite stores and see everyone loving what they do! The store was somewhat busy and the line was kind of long. Since I only had a limited amount of time and the line was far out I decided to do an online order. I came in for some cosmetics and a particular fragrance. The fragrance team check the stock for the item and it was out for a while. However one of the representatives in the Prada area told me that shipments come in weekly and I can call or come in to check back for a restock on my desired fragrance. The Dior fragrance representative was on point with the fragrances and the different ingredients/noted for the fragrances discussed. He was very educated on Dior products and he also shared some great fragrances techniques for layering similar perfumes. Now I have a new fragrance on my bucket list lol and will look forward to the next Beauty Insider Reward off. I would recommend this location.

I have never felt so undervalued as a customer as I did today…saleswomen were poorly prepared some were extremely moody and the environment was dirty with chairs with strange liquid on top and one of them told me insisting that I sit down to apply makeup I saw you I was in a hurry and I needed makeup I sat down anyway but before I even used a wet tissue to remove the liquid.
I don't know if the store has no manager or coordinator. But the feeling we get is that the store is abandoned.

Since practically all products are also missing haha. This is insane. I also work with sales, and where we are, if we see that our products are about to end, we immediately ask the brands…
I believe that big brands like these must have enough stock to restock stores like SEPHORA in the middle of New York! New York! Really? !?
I was ready to spend more than usual… and I got out of there with practically NOTHING. In addition to the lack of attention, I preferred peace ️ to having to call someone from inside the boss to help me. After a full day of work, visit a store to close well.
The day, I left tired and sad. Anyway, I will continue to visit the store, but for sure, at another address.
Thank you in advance for the space here to give my review. I just wanted to relay what I felt. I am a customer and I deserve to be treated as such. Have a good night.

So I have seen this sephora for years on 34th street, I never went in until yesterday to clear up information on my credit card. They were extremely helpful especially jennifer and one other girl, I did not get her name but very helpful with fixing my issues. I felt staff were around every second for a question I had. Also informed me about certain brands good for my skin that I wasn’t sure of. Think I might stick to this store

Horrible customer service. I got a big set of Sephora brushes couple years ago which I didn’t open till couple months ago because I had lots of brushes before. Once I started using them I found one defective brush which bristles started coming out right away after just one time use. So I brought it to this location to exchange it, but they told me that I would have to bring the whole set but it had to be within 60 days from purchase. I understand the rules, but I explained them situation and brush obviously looked brand new but they chose to be very square about this with zero customer service. They couldn’t stand for quality of their own product and simply offer an exchange for the same brush because of defect. So I just left this brush to them at the register and walked out with a very bitter taste in my mouth. Next time will go to Ulta for makeup and beauty supplies. I used to work in Sephora and it’s not the same anymore. We used to treat customers different, with compassion and understanding, always trying to find solution to any situation, would go out of our way for customers.

We visited Sephora as my wife loves the store and this was our first store visit and the staff were unbelievably friendly. The hospitality and customer service was exceptional.

Daisy, Lorraine and Patrick are true assets to Sephora and some of the friendliest staff I have met.

Poor experience today. I came on a Wednesday and despite it being more crowded then usual, it was disappointing to see short staffed store. There is plenty of cashiers but not enough sales reps to help on the floor, they actually pretended to be busy meanwhile they didnt stock anything and they avoided eye contact with me. You will definitely get attention for makeup station services but to get help finding classic brands like stila and la mer is hassle. I hate that brands aren’t alphabetical and the shelves are like mazes. It also bothers me that some boxes of products on display looked open and damaged. For a hot spot like this location they can be more organized and hire more people.

Do you love to save up your points with the intention of one day cashing them in for a 100 dollar reward? Well you better be careful, if you try to even go in this store with any intention of exchanging the item, you will be scammed out of your 2500 points. Yes so I made the mistake of deciding on a eau de toilette, came in to exchange and pay the difference to get a parfum, you know so that the perfume lasts more than 20 minutes. Well I was downright swindled. I went to the counter to do the exchange and they took my original and said oh it won't let us exchange, but " ask about your points" which in reality they took my item and probably kept it for themselves, now I don't have any perfume at all and my 2500 points are gone. What's that you say, customer service? Nope tried it. Nobody cares, I tried contacting 3 different ways. Nobody will even give me a tester to make up for the bottle of perfume they took from me. Thanks a lot Sephora you lost a very very good customer. Hope your happy with your new perfume. You can't tell me two employees didn't know that you can't exchange a reward item. It was downright wrong how this went down.

I was approached by an Asian woman pretending to be a Sephora employee. She didn’t have a name tag and didn’t give me her name. She is likely Chinese. She wouldn’t properly assist with any questions I had and had no knowledge about products so she was not a real employee. I was previously harassed by individuals in California (mostly Asian) while in nyc.

This location has more products that what I like other than that their makeup services are horrible. Makeup artist that we pay to get it done doesnt want to do the way you asked them. They give you attitude as they want to do them in shortcut. Overall had bad experience too many times here. Do not waste your time and money here try to go at a different location.

What do you know, Sephora is wishy washy when it comes to quality customer service. Case in point Kenya. She is someone who has no clue on how to effectively do her job, detracts from Sephora’s image of being fabulous, energetic and all about beauty. Ulta on the other hand which is a few blocks away, nailed it. This is no ad for Ulta. What you would expect at Sephora, i.e. Sephora being a “premium brand” lending itself over to premium service, it just doesn’t happen at this location. Maybe Sephora should stop purporting themselves to be something they’re not. Ulta never claimed to be “premium” yet they did it better. Will not be returning. Ever.

I went for a 60 min makeup session ahead of a professional photo shoot. My beautician was very kind and soft spoken but she needed so much guidance while doing my makeup. I wasn’t happy with the end result and I totally felt like it was a waste of $60 (plus tip). Also- I have dark skin but my undertone is yellow. She put makeup on me that made me look red. Other people noticed as well! There’s always someone stealing from this location so there are cops constantly walking around- Uncomfortable to shop. They have plenty of items in stock (prime location) so I’ll return if I must shop in-person but I will never waste my money getting my makeup done here.

I had such an amazing visit thanks to Roxie! I’ve been on a search for a new foundation and felt hopeless. She was very knowledgeable about products, benefits and offered tons of recommendations for my skincare/makeup needs. I appreciate her expertise. Her jovial and welcoming personality made shopping with Sephora fun and easy. I came in for a return and ended up purchasing 4 full sized products (and she recommended best sellers that I have to check for when they come back in stock). I’ve shopped with Sephora for years and never left a review, however after my encounter, I felt compelled to share my wonderful experience. She is a valuable asset to the team and I wish there were more people working in the beauty industry with her level of skill and expertise. My self confidence was boosted immediately and my mood was elevated. I felt valued as a customer and no amount of words cannot express how much I enjoyed my visit to Sephora. Overall, the staff was friendly and the store is well maintained. Keep up the amazing work!

I came here on the day of a Fenty release and the staff was so welcoming. Sara was getting called by so many customers but when she got to me she was so patient. Color matched me, trained me on concealer application, and up sold me on additional products that I felt comfortable using. Sometimes women are insecure shopping at makeup stores but she made feel at ease. She checked me out and I swear I would come back to shop just off her experience alone.

I feel that the ladies at the register and some on the floor are not as motivated to assist you as they were before the pandemic. The store is not as full yet I find myself waiting to see if I can get some assistance. They rarely ask if I want to use my points. If I am looking for an item they don't have stock they really offer alternatives. I reverted back to buying at Macy's again. Service is everything.

Stopped in the store today and had a beautiful experience with Patrick who was very knowledgeable and patient in discussing the different types of fragrances.
The rest of the staff was friendly

This Sephora location has a friendly and helpful team, and the entire store is very well stocked.

COVID precautions in place include hand sanitizing stations and the staff helping you with samples to minimize touching of the products.

My friend is a frequent buyer at this Sephora location. The Staff are typically welcoming and awesome. But today, oh today. Today was a little different. My friend excitedly prepared to go to the register to purchase her awesome toolkit was rudely introduced by an oddly very aggressive and unfriendly Simore. The minute we approached we can sense unwanted hostility. No smile or eye contact and a rather an aggressive tone. And when she scolded my friend for reasons we still don’t know why. My best buddy asked for a manager. Than we were introduced to a Maria. Maria didn’t rectify the problem and it sort of felt like she made things worse and undermined us. She couldn’t ring up the items. We did it three times and my friend had to throw in the towel and leave. She wouldn’t even write her name and Simone when we asked. When my pal asked for rectification of time wasted and rudeness. All she could offer was an apology and a grand number to the hotline. But she refused to write her name. My friend asked a few times. But was ignored. Sephora is not always like this, but this one experience sadly is all the enough reason to never go there again.

Terrible customer service from a trio of incompetent store employees; Yvette, Solange and Yolari who not only are clueless, but are a bad stain on the Sephora brand. The store director Phillip is on par with the non existent customer service. Goodbye Sephora, hello Blue Mercury.
