I recently took my car to Savvy Good Year for a routine maintenance check and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism and expertise displayed by the mechanics. My father and I have been taking our cars to Savvy in Fresh Meadows for many years. Vic, Wayne and the rest of the crew there are honest, professional and experienced. They always do their work in a timely fashion and I have never been less than 100% satisfied. They also communicate everything clearly in terms of pricing and timelines. The worst service and rude employees. Also, overcharge and take advantage of your situation.

I brought my car in for an oil change and also to have them look at a noise my car was making when I press the gas. I got there when they first open and was seen right away. When the car was ready about 30 min later I asked if the noise was checked for I was told no and that they can’t look at it now because other people started showing up for service. I’ve brought numerous cars there and will be taking my business else where from now on. That’s a very poor way to treat any customer who’s there and told their car will be looked at but because other people show up they can no longer look into the issue my car is having.

Great service. On short notice on a saturday, they fixed a troubling issue with my newly repaired vehicle.

Will you fill my brake cylinder with fluid without charge?
August 22 update.
I've spent $10,000 on car repairs at this service center. I need a couple drops of brake fluid they want to charge me for a whole quart. I refuse to do the service and I will have another mechanic put a few drops of brake fluid.

This used to be a very honest business, I'm not sure if there is new owners or management but the quality of customer service has really declined. I have been going here for 8 years and I will probably never go back.

I want to complement both the person at the desk & the technician. Had a slow leak in a tire. Stopped by to get it plugged. No reservation but was done under an hour. Both were polite & thorough. The technician even filled air in all 4 tires to specification so saved me from doing it after. Nice to find a business like this close to home. Will consider again for anything related to my car.

Looks like a Mexican and has a very poor service attitude in the past to change the oil. This Mexican guy told me we didn't do an oil change. I don't recommend you to come here.

First time placing a review on Savvy, but I have been a customer here for several years and several cars. Robert and Vic always do an amazing job and have helped me through simple oil changes to major repairs.
They are fair and straight to the point.

This character Vic is some kind of comedian.
A wrong diagnostic is done by Savvy.
Afterall they were a tire shop that became a glorified auto repair shop. If Robert is not present nothing is done correctly.
Very bad service and attitude from VIC.
Stay away from this overpriced shop that is not worth it.

I like this place. You can tell by just corresponding with front desk gentleman. Courteous, straight to the point, no monkey business, honest and that is what you want and need from this auto shop.

The first time I came to this shop it was quiet for a Sunday, I told the gentleman I would like an oil change, he recommended Mobil 1 synthetic Oil and I agreed to it. The gentleman started to take my information such as my name and address and phone number he keeps say hold on, it took him so long to enter my info into the computer I almost left the shop. Today January 23 I bring my car for another oil change, he called me mr McNeally. I told him you got the wrong name on the information and he said that’s not possible, I’ll give you my phone number, sure enough he found my name by phone number and the rest is blank. Funny how that happened.

Rip off. I should read the reviews before I went there, I got a nail on my tire, I went there to have them fixed, I didn’t ask the price, normally it costs about $10.00, but they charged me $31.00 and took more time than the other shops. Don’t go there!

Does not matter how many clients they have, they always recognizes the regulars. Great guy, goes out of his way to help out. Good pricing too.

The guys at Savvy are great and Robert always gives ya the straight skinny on repairs. They keep my old warhorse 1998 Saturn SL2 running like new. CB

Changing parts is easy but fixing things without excess costs is what Savvy Tire is good at. Robert and team are nice and work with you.

I noticed a flat tire yesterday. Therefore I showed up the next day little after they opened. Robert told me as soon as his guy shows up he will have it serviced since I was first. Tire was patched and all good to go for me in 20 minutes when the mechanic began working on it. It was promptly serviced. Thank You Robert & your team. I'm happy I live close by, because I will always stop by for my car/tire needs. Services provided are professional, and I would recommend this place. They know cars and know what they're doing.

I can’t express how helpful and professional Robert and his team are. I have been to savvy about 3 times for different situations and each time they fixed the issue without any b.s. They are straight to the point and showed me exactly what my issue was with my car in a way that I can understand. I would recommend them to anyone!

Visited the Savvy Lube, and I am very pleased with the service. I accidentally put too much oil in the tank, so I brought the car here to have the oil drained and changed. They did a good job, and didn't try to oversell me, I thought I needed an engine flush, but was told that the engine flush wouldn't really do any good for my needs at the time. I appreciate them not taking advantage. I will always come back.

Trusted. Robert is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Lots of help with my jeep Wrangler and now my Dodge Durango.

I thought my tire could be repaired, but in the end, it couldn’t. I ended up going to Savvy to get a new tire because I know their prices can’t be beat, especially for the quality tires they have. They changed my tire quickly and correctly. I am always happy with their service.

The place is always in a rush. If you are lucky when changing oil, you are selected to be screwed up by the Guys who do the service. It happened to me twice with two different cars. I changed oil, then got to my driveway and the car was spilling oil. I came back to the shop to let them know, and they said it was like that before. According to them, it was something wrong in the engine.
I brought the car to the mechanic right away, and he said they just let the filter loose. The mechanic cleaned everything up and there was not any kind of leaks. Exactly the same thing happened to me with a different car. It looks like they just want to charge you for repairs that are not needed.

I found a good manager doing an excellent job with his knowledge of cars repair and not to pricey

We live in Buffalo, NY and my son was visiting in Queens. Long story short a tire blew out and he needed a new one. I called Savvy (my brother uses them from time to time) and while Steve did not know my brother he still took the time to try to locate this specific tire and responded back in a timely manner. However, he was unable to get this tire which a few other stores had trouble obtaining as well (Tiger PAW AWP3 205/60R16 92T It was the "T" that I wanted to be consistent with the other 3 newer tires but apparently it has been discontinued. We finally procured the tire at a tire store which promised the 92T after a 3 day delivery. Turns out speed rating was an H, but we had to take it.

When they put the tire on they noticed a few issues with some missing fender clips and the ABS brake sensor harness. My concern was the latter. While this place did what was the best band aid they could, I did not like the idea of my son driving back to Buffalo the next day with an unknown issue. I suggested he drive the car to Savvy to get their opinion. Savvy was able to make the time to put it on the lift, repair the minor fender clip issues, and secure the ABS harness such that it was functional and should remain in place. What they charged me was reasonable, and fair, something we don't see enough of. Rob also took a few minutes to explain the whole thing to me. I know they have been servicing my niece's car for years and my brother would not go anywhere he wasn't happy with. It's a car, stuff happens, your mileage may vary. But I really appreciated my experience and thought it important enough to share.

Went for a basic brake change, just so they can call me three different times to offer to fix things that didn’t have to be fix. They said my back brake light were not working, but they had been replaced less than a month ago for the yearly inspection. I told them that I wasn’t interested in the service but when I went to picked up my car the cover on the lights were on the floor (the cover is always on, there’s no reason for it not to be) and the lights had been tamper with. Why would they touch them after I clearly told them I didn’t desire their service on my light plus I went for you to fix my brakes, not for you to go around touching parts of the car I didn’t request you to.

My tire got repaired within an hour. Charges were very reasonable. Staff was very helpful; they gave me proper suggestion to avoid the same problem again. Highly Recommended.

Would highly recommend for reasonable and fair pricing. They provide is quality work for every service. I am always happy when I bring my car here.

I went to the store for tire change. I want to put good year tire. I saw online this good year they do price match. I ask the gentleman on the desk did you guys do price match? He says we don’t do price match. But if you purchase 4 tire you can get $60 rebate. I order four tire. Each are $210 included labor charge. I deposit $100. Following day he make a bill $935 included $100 service charges.but online those tire are $170 each. He charged me $40 extra on each tire plus $100 service. But if you order online those tire are $790 included installation. Don’t go to this place this guy going to cut your pocket.later he handed me a flyer to claim my $60 online. He supposed deduct this out of my total. Earlier he deny me to do the price match.

This place is a complete rip off they charge you for things that they dont even do on your car, they said they put windshield whipper fluid in my car and there wasnt any in it. I paid for mobile one oil and if they lied about the flyid im sure they lied about the oil too

Poor service charged for washer fluid they did not clearly put in which makes me believe they did not put synthetic oil which i paid for.they are scum so grimey there only care about the next dollar they can scheme

Horrible service.do not take your car here. I got a fuel filter replaced drove off and within half a block the gas started spilling out my car, it just stoped in the middle of the street, so i turned back around and got charged another $375 and $150 in parts to fix the issue they probably caused.they tried to cut corners to fix.they dont know what they are doing, then after paying $1400.3 days later my car wont start because they probably screwed something else up in the process of fixing it.maybe all that gas that spilled screwed up the altinator or they messed up somewhere else in the process and didnt say anything and let me drive off now it will cost me another 700 to replace and a tow all in 4 days and a loss of work

Great mechanics and good work! I usually come here for minor repairs of my car. Savvy staff never disappoints and they have always provided me a great service along with reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Front man Robert may not be all jokes and smiles when you walk in.
However, he knows his stuff, is honest and straight forward.
Let's face it you didn't come there to be entertained, you came to get your car serviced.
Savvy does it right, no BS and at a reasonable price. I would recommend them to family, friends and anyone one who wants service for their vehicle.
