I went for a haircut and Lena was my hairstylist. Not only, she is good at cutting hair and styling, she was really sweet. When I asked her which hairstyle will look good on me, she didn't start cutting randomly, she took some time and explained to me the hair style. It was a great experience. I highly recommend visiting them!

Went in for a perm and had Perry taking care of me. This man did beyond amazing and could tell he’s been doing this for a long long time. Beyond satisfied will be back for him

to start off. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
This was by far one of the worst experiences I’ve had before at a salon. To start off, my mom and I were pulling into the parking lot as are soon to be announced hair dresser beeped and slammed around us looking upset. Just because your late to work gives no excuse for behavior like this, especially for future clients. Once we made are way into the salon the women at the front desk brought us around and introduced us to Dwayne our hair stylist. Shocked to see we were the people in the parking lot he began to explain himself but didn’t even apologize. Sitting down I was getting a perm. This is where it GETS WORSE he took out a box and read the instructions out loud! Clearly not knowing what he was doing! Throughout the process he kept looking concerned and not knowing if it was even going to work! My mom is a hair dresser and when he found out he asked her for help, having her open the plastic bags and asking if she thought the perm was done processing. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. While getting my hair washed out afterwards he began talking on the phone and left me sitting there. Fine. Also making comments to the women at the front desk about their outfits and clearly making them feel uncomfortable. After he cut my hair he raced out of the building before we even began to pay! Clearly not wanting to be there. THE PRICING was OUTRAGEOUS. We spent far more than we wished. AND for unacceptable service. This is a new low for a hair salon, and they have much room for improvement. I wish I could in some way get part of my money back cause this was ridiculous. The perm is already falling out!
I will NOT be returning.

Rumors has gone above and beyond to make sure we are satisfied with our services, and we are! After Maureen helped to fix my perm it came out amazing! The costumer service is incredible and I am happy to say that we will be returning to rumors sometime in the future.

I had an appointment on July 18 and showed the guy a picture of a previous haircut and asked for shorter on the sides and longer on the top. He spent about 25 out of 30 minutes on the sides without even touching the top. He also seems not to know how to have done a fade in the back as there is a ridiculous flap-like piece of hair. I had to ask him to trim the top which he did but also seemed not to know how to do it as the hair was just super long and I wound up trimming it myself because it just looked ridiculous and I was embarrassed afterward. He also didn't even ask or try to comb it so when I left I had a weird flap in the back and a mop on the top of my head. And this was just before I had to leave town for a family reunion, so I didn't even have time to hide until my hair could grow back and disguise it, and I had to show of this embarrassment.

As I was leaving, one employee said, "that's a nice hair cut. " I hope that was out of pity or obligatory, otherwise i have some concerns about what they think looks good.

I have upload a picture so you can see the absolutely ridiculous clump of hair on the back of my head that was for some reason left there.

The first time I went, I had an appointment was OK. The guy, Duane, was good with the haircut. Although he repeatedly told me about how much skill it took and i couldn't tell if he was bragging, complaining, or trying get a tip which was awkward. He also seemed like a jerk. And made other uncomfortable comments. One person tried to take one of his appointments to do just a eyebrow trim for time's sake and he made a comment that showed he wasn't happy about it. He tried to play it off as joking, but having worked in retail and managed people i can tell when co-workers are tense, and they were. So it was also an awkward experience.

I tried against despite the awkwardness. But now I'd say this is two experiences with not the best atmosphere or haircut. Too bad given all the reviews and I needed a new salon. So far I definitely can't recommend them.

I apologize for beeping my horn in the parking lot. I did it because I didn't want to collide. Your car was blocking the entrance at a stand still in front of the entrance and I was trying to be cautious. Our parking lot is very tight and can be confusing to new clients. I made eye contact because I was passing you. The was no "slam".
Your hair was highlighted with Bleach and also with red permanent color over that which requires a special permanent solution, which as you remember required a test curl every 2 minutes which is different from a normal permanent solution for virgin hair. I was sharing this information with your mother and you because It's unorthodox and could feel the insecurity with the moment. Yes the plastic bag would not unseal. I apologize,
. I received a phone call from my sons summer school during the appointment requiring me to pick him up because he was vomitting and I needed to leave as soon as possible. Hence my departure. For this I was truly wrong, it was a family emergency.
Your perm was loose because you requested it that way. I used a combination of White and Purple rods which is what 30+ years of experience and a consultation with you and your cosmetologist mother agreed on during the consultation. The permanent will inevitably relax after a week but should remain.
If the price was an issue, that should have been discussed during
the booking. I apologize but a three hour chemical process and a haircut at Rumors is well under $200.00.

I think we started off on the wrong foot and everything was blown way out proportion.

Got a haircut here from Duane (first time). He has great attention to detail and is a good communicator making sure you get the exact haircut you want. 5/5 would recommend.

My experience with Dwayne was absolutely terrible. I went for a hair trim and after washing my hair the attitude that he expressed while going through my hair was unacceptable. I am able to work through my own hair with no issue, but it seems like he wasn’t used to working with curly hair as much as he claims to have been. I sat there the entire time hearing him complain, huff and puff as he was getting through it. He tried to blame it on the fact that he was on a “time crunch” but if he is a “professional” then he should know how to deal with hair of all textures. He tried to save the whole experience by trying to converse towards the end like nothing happened, but he had already lost me. I get that the area isn’t diverse and I can’t imagine the clientele is any better from what I just experienced but overall very disappointed. I was looking for a place to continue to visit for my hair care being fairly new to the area… seems like I’ll have to keep looking. If you have thick curly hair like mine though and someone here actually knew how to handle it please let me know.

What a great place to get your haircut. I definitely get the VIP customer service experience every time I step in the door. I see Amber every three weeks and her attention to detail plus friendly service is as good as it gets. You are guaranteed to look fresh when you step out of Rumors IV Men.
