My experience with RPZL was terrible.
TLDR version: This business seems friendly and a tad aggressive before they get your money, but once they have it you are not relevant and they don't care if the job was done well. I had extensions for a short time, which ended up ripping out and destroying my natural hair. The owner was unresponsive and unhelpful in the process.

I was excited to get keratin extensions and booked with their “top stylist”. From the start, a few things were not great, but I rolled with it.
1. The color did not match my hair despite sending photos ahead of time. I was told to “tone it myself”.
2. I booked a half head which I thought was enough for my thin hair. I was upsold to buy the full set for >$1000 upon arrival. Half was used and the stylist appeased me by saying I could keep the rest for the next appt. However, when I returned for them after using the restroom, I was told they were “thrown out”.
3. I am not fussy about salon experiences. I expect average service at high turnover place. However this was an uncomfortable, unfriendly experience. They stylist was noticeably condescending as if I didn’t know anything about hair or what I wanted bc I was new to keratin. At the end, she was weirdly pushy about the Venmo tip and hovered over me until I sent it which made me uneasy. (I always tip)

I still was happy to have my extensions and wasn't fussed about the experience. The texture was unruly when I left but I figured I could fix at home. After leaving, I texted the stylist a simple question and didnt respond, despite being very responsive pre appt.

Within 2 weeks my hair was very frizzy. They were supposedly remy hair but the texture felt synthetic. When it got unmangeable I emailed the owner for advice. I also expressed concern that a few extensions fell out in the first two week, taking my real hair with them. She offered no advice, but said it must be “my fault because no one complains about frizzy extensions” (clearly is not true based on other reviews). The suggestion was that I come in to get it styled. I returned despite living far away, was treated like an annoyance; the stylist said the only solution was to cut the frizzy extensions. I left with hair that was 4 inches shorter and the same length as my natural hair, completely defeating the purpose of $1000 extensions. I asked to replace the few that fell out ; she said that it was normal to lose a few but couldn’t replace them because she had none on hand. She confirmed i was caring for them properly. Essentially I drove 4 hours for a 10 minute appointment and left with a lot less hair. Upon following up with the owner she said she couldn’t do anything and I should just take them out since they were “almost ready to be removed anyway”. (It was a few weeks in and these are meant to last 3months+)

A few weeks later after 15-20 fell out and ripped more of my hair, I reached out again to Lisa and essentially asked if they could just take them out. I got no response. I at least expected they would take them out for me but they still charge $220 for removal.

I went elsewhere to get them removed and the stylist was appalled. She explained the bonds were way too large/heavy for my thin hair, too close together, and RPZL should have fixed it immediately after the first fell out. It took hours to get them removed since they had started to mat. I left that appointment with about half of my natural hair and really devastated. I obviously did not count on losing my hair in this process and now have bald patches and broken hair all over my head. It will take years to grow back. No one gets extensions because they have hair to lose.

This is not a business I would revisit or recommend to anyone. I'm sure they treat their high profile clients better, but normal clients its horrendous. The owner clearly goes AWOL whenever people raise concerns. It’s a very unprofessional response when people are paying thousands of dollars for a service.

Destiny is the best!
Destiny does an amazing job with extensions. I always leave happy and I get so many compliments on my hair. I highly recommend to everyone!

I love the pony tail and braid (which was a great hit). Since it was my first time trying extensions the volumizer and clip on look fake and are heavy. I sent an email to them asking for the return policy, which I was told that they have the right of not accept the merchandise due to health concerns. I already contacted the health department to find out NYC's health policy and will give my mind to Tori that introduced this company on GMA. If I loose my money is find but I am taking this to the BBB and Tori needs to introduce companies that have at least a 4 + under reviews.

I went there for hair extensions. I was told that I needed to do the color first the very same day as my extension. Now, stylists at RPZL do not do hair color themselves, but they share a space with Warren Tricomi. It was kind of confusing because Mercedes, the hairstylist from RPZL, sent me back and forth to talk to a colorist from Warren Tricomi, and then to their receptionist to book an appointment at a time and date that could also be convenient for her. It was a mess, and the day of my hair extension appointment I finally ended up doing my color with a different guy from WT, which did the color very well, to be honest, but differently from what the first colorist had said to me. Anyway, this should have been a red flag from the beginning (the confusion Mercedes generates I mean). Second red flag: Mercedes didn't listen to me, she just talked all the time "let's do that and that". She didn't listen to what I really wanted, she didn't look at what was feasible with my hair, which is very thin and curly. But she looked so confident that I just went with what she was suggesting.
In the end, it was pretty bad: she had ordered too many hair extensions, my head was in a lot of pain during the whole process (and I told her, but again, she would not listen.), and the extensions were too long and she was not able to perform a proper haircut. Also, the texture didn't match my hair at all. Anyway, I left the salon thinking it was ok (suggestion: be careful, once they straighten your hair it looks beautiful and even, but wait to wash.). I told her my concerns (about the pain, the texture, and the length), but she insisted that everything would be great after the first washing. Instead, the extensions were hurting (I had the feeling my hair was pulled out all the time), and after I washed my hair the texture and the length did not match at all my natural hair: I looked like a "Vileda mop". I called the owner/manager Lisa, and I have to say that she replied right away and she was very nice. She proposed the removal of the extensions right away for free and to have them done again by another stylist (for free). But I didn't want to take the risk to go through that once again, and I also experienced some hair loss after removal.well, I lost $1500.cannot say don't go, because I don't know what went wrong and how good are the 2 other hair stylists.but be aware of the confusion and that it can turn pretty bad

They told me it was $100 for the service then charged my credit card $260. The stylist was also very pushy and aggressive about the additional Venmo tip on top of me being overcharged. She called her manager on the phone who told me the service “was typically $700” and they were doing me a favor by only charging $250. This place is insane — probably the least professional salon I’ve ever been to. Do not come!
