I called since the morning all the way until the afternoon and it’s ridiculous that there is so many people working in the pharmacy and not one person can pick up the phone. When I go in person, they say that oh that I didn’t leave a voicemail when I shouldn’t have to leave a voicemail this people calling at the pharmacy for many reasons, and nobody should have to leave a voicemail voicemail. I’ve been dealing with this Pharmacy for years and never have. I had this problem at this extent.

I’ve lived in Astoria for over 20 years, recently changed my pharmacy to this one because it’s the closest one. I regret that decision as the service is awful.the staff is rude and insensitive.change management perhaps it’ seems to be a common problem

I love this Rite Aide in my community the pharmacy is always there and the staff at the right aide are very polite and helpful if need be.

Horrible! They don't even answer the phone. The phone keeps ringing and 3-4 employees just stand there doing nothing. The store wasn't even packed. Other customers were frustrated not getting their medicine either. The store closes at 11 pm, the pharmacy at 9 pm, the prescription was resent at 7 pm and they couldn't even fill it within 2 hours and plan on filling it the next day at 11 am.

The staff here have 0 customer service skills needed something from the beauty department it was locked I wait and no 1 ever came to assist a staff member who was there packing looked annoyed when I said I need help. She said it’s locked and spoke to someone then said they will come assist she can’t open it. I move onto the pharmacy department to check on my refill was informed it will be ready in next 15 minutes. I said I’ll come back later because I’m on my break. Just got a text it’s out of stock why not inform me when I was there. I honestly only use this pharmacy because my insurance requires it. This is just 1 of the numerous times things like this happen and I am only posting a review so management can try to improve their services.

Almost everything in this store is under lock and key. Toothpaste, deodorant, cough medicine (not just Sudafed), you name it. I was just in the cold and flu aisle and there were four of us ringing the bell and standing around like chumps.

This is *not* the fault of the employees — it's either corporate or the local managers who understaff the store and assume their customers are criminals. Almost every time I come here I end up leaving empty-handed and frustrated. I'm so angry that this waste of a store (which doesn't take my insurance either) is the closest drug store to me.

The Indian guy working here told me not to come back for asking his name. I asked his name bc he yelled at me when he couldn’t reach the stuff that he needed to scan. He has anger management problems, should’t be serving customers directly. I feel sorry for this unhappy man.

Purchased an item. It didn’t work. Returned within 48 hours of purchase without receipt. I was refused to get a refund and was only able to get a gift card for the store, and this is after I argued for 30 mins how idiotic it is for them to not be able to do something as basic as locating a transaction at they’re store. Below normal service and products. Stick to CVS.

Very good location to pick up everyday items you need and or fill your prescriptions. Parking is available but usually busy.

The store itself is okay. The pharmacy when it comes to service has declined drastically. No matter when you leave a prescription or when a prescription gets called in you will have an extremely long wait. When you ask a question after they give you a response they immediately say next as if you don’t have a follow up question. Let’s talk about the professionalism!

Probably the worst pharmacy in Astoria. Only thing going for them is the parking lot and close to food shopping and post office making the aggravation OK to a degree.

Lately, I have to wait a long time to pick up my medicine. A lot of times they don’t have the medicine that was prescribed to you and you either have to wait for their next delivery or call the doctor to send the prescription to a different pharmacy. When you feel sick this is the last thing you want to deal with.

This rite aid has so many issues with people stealing. They would save so much money if they would just hire security. The stealing is out of hand and uncomfortable when trying to shop. Staff is friendly.

This pharmacy always break records for making new worst experience.
I think pharmacy team needs to be change. Always slow- never ready to pick up even though ER sent prescription they make it very last and i saw other customer waited for 4 hr ‍️ for just picking up ‍️ their medicine

Chasier #105681735 was so rude to me and my elderly mother I came to visit from Florida and I used my number instead of my mom's number unfortunately it didn't work so I asked to use my mother number who lives in NYC and out of the blue he was being so rude about it. This man had no patients or costumer service. People like this is why the world is unpleasant to shop for basic things.

I get a notification text message everytime before I come here. When I get here, "it's not ready". 5 pharmacists working and "it's not ready" 2 ​hours after text. "ITS NOT READY".

Also, instead of reaching reaching out to my dr.to tell him my insurance doesn't cover, they wait til I get to the place all sick to tell me to call and come back.

And dont try calling ahead so they have no excuse to say "it's not ready" because they pick up and put u on hold right away til u hang up.

Yesterday April 30th, 2022 I was very happy with the service I was provided with from a male manager, assistant and a young man at the register. Excellent work team. Very helpful, polite, professional and kindness. Don't hesitate to promote them. God bless

If you would like to wait for hours waiting on line for a pharmacy when there are 6 people working but only 1 person helping at pickup…this is your pharmacy!

The wait has spectacular views of empty shelves for OTC medicine you may or may not need!

When you finally arrive to the front of the line (most likely an hour wait from when you walk in) enjoy the excitement of nothing actually being ready (even though you were told it would be ready by today).

Using the online Pay N Go option? ! That’s great! Because it doesn’t save you any time at all!

If you’re okay with your medication being delayed by days because of this long wait and potentially dying because you weren’t able to receive your medicine on time… this is the pharmacy for you!

Sad to know this store is closing. Was really a go to and had the best prices. The reason they are closing is because of too many thefts. This is unacceptable. They should have had better security in the aisles to get those arrested. Hire a police officer. Now we can’t ship in our own neighborhood anymore because of crime. Terrible

Went to rite aid today to do some small shopping and upon trying to pay for my items, i was asked for my ID because within my items was a six pack of beer, i found this to be very upsetting. I am a 60 year old man and anyone with eyes could see that i am well above the age. I truly thought he was joking with, but he still took the id. I really felted disrespected so i told him that i didn't want anything because of the lack of respect for me as a paying customer. I then left the store went shopping at city fresh and came back to rite aid to talk with the person in charge, informing him that i would like to have the man name which was Mazumder Momoyeen. I will never shop at this store again

Really upsetting this store is NOT 24 hours any longer. It is a small shabby Rite Aid but instrumental to the neighborhood. It’s obscenely disappointing.

The most horrible rite aid store in new york, terrible! I went to this store few days ago and was using self check out, its pretty cool that we dont have to be on line for few stuff and its faster and i know how it works, while i was scanning my items a lady rite aid associate approached me and start scanning my stuff, she didn't care about 6 feet distance at all the time rule and most important i have pre medical condition, it happened to me couple of times whenever i try to use self checkout some associates approach me without asking and they don't maintain 6 feet distance inside store, they suppose to help me if i ask them to help, but she just came so close and start touching scanning my items at self checkout without asking me first, we are still in pandemic and as a pharmacy this store is not following safety protocols with customers

Bad customer service. Just wasted time on self checkout, no assistance provided and no discount applied to the purchase even though it was advertised - just wasted time, could just wasted the same time waiting in the line. Guys, you could do better!

A little small and at times missing enough of a selection that I choose to go to another pharmacy.

Lines very quickly can get long but overall more than reasonable given its location.

BEWARE! This is one of the worst places to get your prescriptions refilled. The cashier was a very rude man and the pharmacist was no help. The people that worked there today 09/21/2020 were extremely condescending towards my medical condition and sent me away as fast as they could. Pitiful

Last night I visited this store and oh boy let me tell you something. This night time manager Mangal he was dealing with so many customers and his own associates during this difficult time. I respect this guy for all he’s been doing to keep this store running. He is the backbone of this store. Every time I see him he is happy and VERY welcoming!

This place is racist and profiling like others have stated. The security guard followed my mom and I around and stared at us while we looked for a hair dryer. When I confronted him, he mumbled to himself and kept on staring at us. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this happen at this store. It is the first time it happened to me but I’ve seen it happen multiple times.

Went into this store to get some nausea medication. And ended up having staff follow me around, call on the store loud speaker. Can “ security walk the floors “. Who by the way, this security guard was staring at me. Before I even walked in through the outside glass as I entered. I asked the cashiers for help and kept getting eyes on me, went to aisle 11 like the guy recommended but woman seemed to not know or paying attention to me. And this store had the audacity to get multiple staff eyeing me. I called out the security guard, after I found Bismo and allergy medicine. After looking at one aisle, I was confused because it only had cough medicine. I found two more medicated aisle behind that aisle and when I went up to the cashier, I called the security guard out who is also black. Who was following me and even went back up to his original and given location the entrance of the store. And I asked him why “he and them following me for like I’m gonna steal something”? And his reply was he’s just doing his job, and I’m assuming he got looks or either his coworkers looked at him either because he repeated it when I was in the front. This store is horrible, it’s profilings, it’s racist and discrimination is just disgusting. I can’t even walk in about to pass out looking for nausea medicine with a hoodie on without getting harassed and humiliated on a loud speaker. Hope this place shuts down and will be reporting that security and management. I’ve been in this location and borough before this store and it’s workers even worked here. Learn your place and learn respect on my name.

I was very sad to learn that my original family pharmacy closed and I was informed that Rite Aid on 21 street would handle our family prescriptions. We went to the pharmacy and were greeted so politely and professionally. All of our information was already in their system. We did not have a long wait. The prices were on point and the young woman behind the counter was incredibly kind and efficient. I am pleased that my previous pharmacist chose this location to get our prescriptions filled because I really appreciate good customer service.

I love Rite Aid in general and that's why I'm giving 3-stars, but this location needs definitely attention. I went there to buy some chocolates and that's what I did. On my way home I decided to open the bag of chocolates to have some, and I see that all of them were previously melted and deformed from the heat. I guess they didn't have air conditioning in the magazine this past summer. Now that the weather cooled off the chocolates have been hardened in some weird shapes. I went back to return them, and I had to wait 30 minutes by the counter for the process to finish, which 20 minutes were from the horrible manager to show up and 10 minutes for the manager with the seller to finish the process of return. I don't know the name of the manager, but this episode happened on 11/08/18 at 9: 24PM. I'm writing this because I care about Rite Aid and I just want the best for them.
