Kelsey is hands down the best colorist I have ever seen. She nailed exactly the color I was looking for, went out of her way to sit with me for hours and ensure that the process was painstakingly perfect from start to finish, and followed up with me days later to share helpful tips and offer to make any adjustments. And beyond that she is a homie and an absolute joy of a human to spend an evening chatting about life with! I can’t recommend her enough.

I followed Kelsey to Red Market salon, not only is she is such a gem of human, but the detail in her work is unmatched.i have been coloring my hair for years and no one has been able to apply such a high skill level in coloring and education through the process. She is patient and will take time to listen to exactly what you are looking for. As someone who is exceptionally meticulous when it comes to my hair, im so happy to have found Kelsey, she truly is an artist & was mindful of factors such as what tones would compliment my skin tone, etc. Thank you so much Kelsey!

Seth was so lovely and helpful! I had to go from deep red to medium/light brown in one day for a shoot in Miami- I booked an appointment at midnight the night before and got to the NYC salon at 10am the next morning. The final result is beautiful and so close to my natural color which is exactly what I wanted. Highly reccomend!

Booking online was a snap, received follow up email and text. Service was excellent and Ashley did a great professional salon cut. Location was easy to find and I like the RMS has late hours.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I would follow Kelsey to the furthest point of the Earth if it meant she would be the only person to color/balayage my hair. I'd never had my hair done with the hand painted technique and I'm so glad this is the way Red Market approaches balayage! Incredible work, every single time:)

And ASHLEY! My recent appointment was my first time working with Ashley and I couldn't have been more thrilled. I've always had shorter hair and am working on growing it out. She did a dry cut and kept my hair looking sleek and healthy. I already can't wait to be back in her chair in 2022!

If you are looking for a place to go that has a clean facility, accessible location, and above all a kind, hard-working staff that knows how to execute orders, this is your spot. Kelsey and Ashley at the Red Market Salon kept it real with me and colored my hair exactly how I wanted; I had complete faith in them throughout the entire process. They were honest and open during the whole operation. Whether it was lightening my hair, coloring it, or washing it, Kelsey put a high emphasis on the fact that she was respecting my hair. There were opportunities where Kelsey could have taken an easier, quicker route to lighten my hair. Out of respect for her customers and herself she chose to take a longer road to ensure that my hair was protected. I loved that. If you're getting your hair done at any other place than the Red Market Salon, you're tripping. This is the spot!

I went to Red Market salon because I was following Ashley from Toni & Guy. Ashley gave me a Thorough consultation and knew exactly what I wanted. Watching her dry cut is like watching an artist paint. Ashley also gave me an amazing blowout with curls, she is a true talent. The receptionist was very kind and gave me a great shampoo and scalp massage. The Atmosphere of Red Market was very upbeat and modern. You cant beat the experience at this salon.

SO happy I had my balayage done by Kelsey! I am pretty picky with my hair color and previously only trusted my friend to do any color changes. But from the moment I walked through the salon door, I had the best experience and was more than impressed by Kelsey's attention to detail and the new dimension added to my hair. Topped off by an amazing cut by Reynald, I couldn't recommend this place more!

Kelsey was amazing! I was pretty nervous as I’ve been botched with bleaching my hair before. She listened to what I wanted and was able to deliver exactly that. She made me feel super comfortable for my first time at the salon and gave me great tips for hair care. Definitely worth the trip from Hoboken!

If you’re not seeing Kelsey and Ashley you are living life wrong! I’m terrible at explaining what I want even with dozens of pins on Pinterest, but Kelsey just gets it! She’s so energetic and talented. I have had the hardest time finding someone to trust with my color but she exceeded all of my expectations.

Ashley gave me the perfect cut - I like it blunt/straight all around. Usually stylists face frame without asking but she was careful and asked before she snipped! LOVE that!

The salon is so clean and refreshing. I’m usually anxious in new places, but it was easy to relax and enjoy myself. Everyone greeted me, and it was overall awesome!

If you’re in or near the city, you really need to book here! I can’t wait to come back

Red Market Salon is terrific! This was my first experience with Red Market and my experience from start to finish was noteworthy. Booking an appointment on-line was super easy, and they were very helpful with adjusting my appointment to an earlier time so I could be out on time for an afternoon commitment. Teela is a master at balayage and absolutely love my new blond color! I will definitely return to Red Market:)

I would not at all recommend this place to anyone. I’ve been going here for about 5 years. The cuts have been just ok, but I felt for the price point it was worth it. The last time I went I got a single process color to cover greys but unfortunately not all the greys were covered- so that was $180 wasted. The cut I received was also not good. I ended up having to get it re cut elsewhere just 2 weeks later with much better results. When I emailed the salón to let them know I was unsatisfied I did not hear back. I’ve reached my limit with red market and will not be going back. Please try other salons before this one.

Reynald did a beautiful balayage and gave me just what I had hoped for. Saudy was a delight. Her shampoo was rejuvenating and she took time to blow my hair out magnificently. Comfortable 2nd floor spacious salon with windows looking out to a tree in the heart of the Village. Very relaxed positive environment.

Site says they’re open until 9 but if you try to schedule apt after 8 they call you at 7: 45 to cancel it

Best salon in the city! Romaine and Guillaume are the best. My boyfriend had his haircut by Romaine and has never looked better. I get my hair done by Guillaume and I tell him to do whatever he thinks will look good and I always look amazing lol. Guillaume blowouts are also insanely good

Romain is a very talented hairdresser. Teela did a great job with my color. The salon is cosy and has a family type relaxed environment which I appreciate and enjoy. Besides I can speak French! They also scrupulously respect Covid instructions.

The best hair Salon in NYC! I am so glad that our formal Paris hair artist recommended Red Market Salon to us! Romain is the best hair artist in NYC, He is a very kind person, professional, patient, and pay attention to the detail. Haircut from Romain not only stylish and lasting for so long! Since we moved to NYC for year and half, I got my hair cut from Romain already 6 times, same as my hubby! I highly recommend a visit to Red Market Salon!

I have been getting my color done with Teela (who is AMAZING) for years here and each time I come, it is a pleasure. The staff is very professional and the salon is super clean with great products. Highly highly recommend.

Reynald has been cutting and coloring my hair for years. He never fails to deliver a perfect result, leaving me looking and feeling great each time.

Red Market Salon was amazing. Romain, who was my hairdresser, was highly professional, both in the covid sense of being health conscious but also as far as being a highly talented and passionate hair stylist. In addition to Romain going above and beyond the expected, his assistant was also wonderful and provided excellent service. Overall an excellent experience and highly Covid conscious and attentive with pre-sealed brushes, available masks and hand sanitizer, among a variety of other precautionary measures. I highly recommend Red Market Salon! Thank you guys again!

I absolutely loved this salon! The staff were wonderful - from the thorough wash & blow dry, to Romain's amazing talent to help style my long hair. I'm glad to have discovered it, and received a lot of great tips on taking care of my hair. Totally worth it.

Romain is a true hair artist, every cut is perfect. The cuts are never rushed and his attention to detail insures you are looking great when you walk out the door and until the next visit.
They have implemented the highest degree of COVID-19 protocols in everything from the salon to staff and equipment. The open, airy, comfortable and attractive space creates a relaxing environment.
