Public Storage

Just received a notice for their "regularly scheduled" price increase. This time it was another 21%. This company is unscrupulous. The management and facility operators are pure garbage. If you are considering moving your stuff in here for the first time, do yourself a favor and exhaust every possible option for your stuff before signing up for this hell hole. It will be a disastrous decision. Consider yourself warned.

This place is pristine, Danielle at the desk is the best! So helpful, efficient and professional. We have been customers for years here, and always had peace of mind with our belongings.

I store at another facility which I love and my mother in-law stores at this location with Danielle. Danielle is amazing with her and I had to give her a shout out she is always talking about how nice Danielle is and how she makes everything quick an easy. My mother in-law had lost a lot of her items at a mom and pop company their was mold all over her stuff so when she had to look for storage a few years later she wanted to use a corporate company. She found Public Storage in Melville and she has been their for years. She loves it and now I use it as well. Great job Danielle you made her happy and Public Storage gained another customer from how you treated her.

This isn’t an issue with this location so much as it is with Public Storage as a company. This location, states their weekend hours are 9: 30 to 5: 30. What they fail to state is that it’s by appointment only, they literally have no staff on site during business hours.

Danielle was amazing! She was able to help me figure out what size I needed for all of my belongings and told me what supplies I would need to pack everything up properly. I would 100% recommend going to the Melville location and dealing with Danielle.

10/10 recommend. Always a positive experience. Danielle is the most professional and best person to work with. She always takes care of us.

Moved from one storage facility that was a nightmare to this location was so refreshing! The manager I think her name was Danielle? Was so helpful. She answered everything I needed right over the phone and was so accommodating the day of the move. Highly recommend!

Danielle is literally a billion dollar asset to this company. She works almost seven days a week due to lack of staffing- if you rent here you are in luck - you will see the same face everyday. Danielle goes above and beyond for this company and her customers. She’s able to maintain and run a 1000 unit building. That’s 1000 customers. BY HERSELF 99.99999999 % of the time. She’s very knowledgeable about storage as well as all aspects of moving and storing. The building is ALWAYS immaculate. Her personality is wonderful, outgoing, helping and always sympathetic. I’ve been here about 13 years and I’ll be completely honest - only reason I don’t choose to go elsewhere is because of the property manager, Danielle. I’m a contractor- here everyday - Monday through Sunday and she has been the ONLY CONSTANT and familiar face
(which would make sense as she’s the ONLY employee here and she’s here 6- sometimes 7 days a week! Can we say hard worker.) She has a great personality- very outgoing, very pleasant, funny, friendly, accommodating, understanding and is a professional.
THIS MANAGER DESERVES RECOGNITION. THIS MANAGER DESERVES A RAISE.
THIS MANAGER is the definition of what a leader looks like. She is what makes this specific location run smoothly, remain safe, stay extraordinary clean and an overall great experience.

Great service clean easy location to use.

I completely recant my earlier review. Customer service is lack there off either in person or via there national call center. If possible steer clear away from using them. I learned this in the process of using them. I always pay my bill on time on Auto Payment. As I still have stuff in one of there locations. There elevator is out of service and I am unable to remove my items, belongings. I briefly mentioned that I would like to vacate the property before October. Without even confirming that with me the property manager took it upon themselves to create a vacate date. Really awesome given the fact that I just had a cervical spine fusion and Discectomy surgery just this past March which I am still recovering in pain from basically a broken neck with fractures. But what does that matter I have to figure out a way to get my things out with no elevator while still being billed for a facility at a rate of $289 a month that I can not necessarily use due to access. Awesome!

Danielle the manager is great! The building is impeccable and the service is always great. Definitely recommended to friends and family.

I went in a few days ago to inquire about storage and all the details. Ivan was very helpful and knowledgable. He was very nice, he broke everything down very clearly and made it all easy to understand. I would highly recommend coming to this property.

The girl at the front desk Danielle was great! I came in for some moving and packing supplies and she was extremely well versed and understanding to our move. She provided excellent service and information regarding the packing supplies and boxes eg: what is going to fit in what. "Customer service mindset" doesn't exist here. The carts you need to move stuff are locked. The elevator is broken, and they didn't bother to notify anyone. I went to my second-floor unit only to discover the elevator is broken and there's no way to get my heavy items downstairs. When I asked when it'd be fixed, I was told it'd be another 30-45 days (and who knows how long it's been broken). So. I'm left paying for two months of storage where I can't access my belongings. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

Update a month later - still no elevator, and no willingness to discount rate or otherwise adjust for the inconvenience.

I help my buddy with some side jobs and the unit we need to access supplies is right near a door. Danielle and Ivan are great and always provide us with carts for heavy equipment.

Danielle was amazing while looking for a place to put my things while in the process of moving. She was really nice and super informative considering I had no idea what I was doing. I highly recommend this location. ASK FOR DANIELLE!

Area where the storage unit I rent hasn't had elevator working for two days and no one knows when it is going to be fixed. I can't move any heavy item down or up the staircase until elevator is fixed.

Moving a customer in and Danielle was a big help. She showed us to the locker and gave us the flat beds to help us move furniture.

Awkward layout, narrow passages and numerous key card access doors make moving lots of stuff tougher than it needs to be. I guess security is good though

No loading dock, we had to park the truck 30ft away and carry our things during a storm. No cover, no chance to come close to the doors.

Here with my company removing files and the Manger Danielle was helpful. She provided us with carts and showed me back to the locker.

Came in today to see a unit for my mother and ivan was very helpful and he even explained to us how we can even get a unit without having to come to the property to do the paperwork he was very informative and very helpful would definitely recommend this location!

I came in yesterday to see a couple of units and the person working ivan was very helpful and informative in regards to size i would need For my items. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone who asks about storage.
