The staff here is so amazing! Unfortunately that’s the only thing this location has going for it. It’s constantly crammed with children and “adults” with no sense of cleanliness or gym etiquette. It’s impossibly to find any open machine that’s not a treadmill, the locker rooms and tanning booths are absolutely disgusting, and the only caveat was the place being 24/7 on weekends but now that changed too. Going to 55th st from now on

Was a bit crowded, but expected due to time and location, and also there is a crowd meter on the app. Was still able to get a decent workout in.

Update: The massage chair is lousy. The staff gave me a coin for it and it only last 5 or 10 minutes? This place is definitely a joke. Again, there is nothing that can be compared with the one in North Bergen. I have to change my rating from two-stars to one.

Original: I got Planet Fitness Black Card from North Bergen, NJ and stopped by this gym in the city today. I would say there is no comparison. The North Bergen site is definitely better. I may not come back here again.

Do yourself a favor Do Not enter this facility.

I worked out for a couple of hours. When returning back to the locker, someone removed the lock and took all of my cash.

We pay our monthly dues,
plus the
annual fee which states it supposedly goes towards new equipment and repairs but looking at the state those lockers are in I highly doubt it.

And from seeing the other reviews, I'm sure I won't be the last person bringing attention to this issue.

This place is disgusting the mens bathroom is always nasty I don't know who cleans this place. They need to keep up with this place the is the worst planet fitness I've been to

Ditty and bare minimum but I guess this is what you get for a 24 hr fitness in the heart of Manhattan for $23 a month! Use only in extreme cases and if I have to be somewhere early but still want to be able to get a work out first thing in the morning! There is no cleaning crew overnight so the gym is a pig den if you wanted to work out during that time! Gross!

A good place to do workouts, the premium membership costs 25$ for a month and you can always bring someone with you for free. Most planet fitness gyms have good workout areas, clean bathrooms, and showers. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this Planet Fitness. Its very clean in the workout area and the locker room. I like how spacious it is for working out. Do yourself a favor and try this PF location! The biggest reason I like PF is because I always feel I belong there, and you will too!

Some black card amenities do not exist in this location. Water fountain on lower floor does not work. Only two Smith machines. Overall, however, this is my preferred gym when in Times Square NYC on business.

Hydro bed massage has been broken for months.spa area smells like beef and cheese.very disappointing.staff was helpful tho

This is a very poorly maintained location. I usually go to the PF on Canal Street, which is clean, lots of amenities, and has newer machines. This location on 35th has the same cardio machines I remember from 15 years ago. None of the TV’s get any channels that aren’t full static. There is a light fixture that brightly flickers for a few seconds ever minute or so like an insane asylum in a movie. There is no room to stretch, but I can’t find any mats anyway. The water fountains on the main floor are broken. The locker room is tiny. Half of the lockers in the men’s locker room are broken, as in the tab that your lock would slot through has been smashed off. I can only speculate that that happened when someone broke into it at some point. There are two toilet stalls, and the latch on the door of one of them has also been smashed off. No matter, there is no toilet paper anyway. The shower has clumps of hair all along the edges where the walls meet the floor. If there are any Black Card amenities, I can’t find them. And every day at around 10 AM a female attendant cleans the men’s locker room. What exactly is the etiquette supposed to be in that situation? And why doesn’t the male attendant hanging out at the front desk clean it instead? I’m so fed up with this location by my work, I joined Crunch even though it’s s lot more expensive. And don’t tell me “you get what you pay for” because the Tribeca location is great, as is literally every PF in the country that’s not in Manhattan. “You get what you pay for” is unfortunately the message blaring loud and clear from the owner/manager of this location. Get some new machines. Fix the lockers. Fix the toilet stall door. Fix the TV’s. Fix the water fountains. And fix that insanity-inducing flickering light fixture! This is basic maintenance, not fancy luxuries. I honestly can’t believe the Renaissance Hotel is sending their guests here considering the state it’s in.

First time there today. Trash on floor in locker room and dirty towels on floor in front of showers. Hopefully better next time

The gym is very clean. The staff has very polite well mannered kids working there. Lots of equipment. The place has a very good vibe.

Staff is wonderful place is always kept clean and safe healthy fun relaxing environment to stay in shape I love it highly recommend it

Gym is good but they need to upgrade on bicycles cardio machine all bicycles does not work properly some are out of order

Today, July 27 - 2022 a guy from the stuff treat my self like a S#*t. Really racist.
Located at Manhattan 215w 35 st. He is a black man and when I got to the counter he was really derogatory. Then I was seated in the living room and he just saw me like he wanted to fight with me. I think they doesn't deserve to be there, the gym needs people who are kind with customers. He's about 25 five years old and 5.8" tall. Please take care about who you contract.

I have been treated in a rude way with one of the staff members with no fault from my side, he asked me to leave the building and he is going to cancel my membership. When I asked him what is the reason he said no reason, I requested to talk to a manager he refused and refused to provide manager's contact, I hope management take care of that kind of discrimination which is unacceptable and not legal.

I haven’t been at this planet fitness in about a month and the same machines that were broken while i was going here are still broken. This planet fitness is a joke

Cardio equipment is on the upper level and is always so hot! Very uncomfortable to work out in. Downstairs with the weight machines is cool and comfortable, cardio equipment is NOT. The membership is cheap and it shows unfortunately.
