My Locker was broken into 3 times! Nothing can be done about it cause the police can’t find the crook! This is PATHETIC! What’s the sense of having a freaking locker and someone has clippers to steal from you under your nose! CANCEL …Do NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY! YOUR LOCKER WILL BROKEN and Valuables stolen. They should have staff members stationed in the locker room! MY name is NOT JEANETTE BRO!

Larger than other clubs you're likely to find around Marbella. A good mix of free weights and machines.

Staff is very helpful. Great experience and everyone is respectful of each other's space while working out.

Breathtakingly positive vibes. I missed several weeks and two weeks ago I went out for a bike ride and jumping rope i videotape all my workouts and when I noticed the smiley face coming through my tee shirt I knew it was time to get back in the gym. I come back and the 1st day I noticed the weight loss of one of the members he was my motivation to keep on pushing

Much more machines than New York SportsClubs and they also have massage rooms where you could give yourself self massages

The space is pretty large- Although it does get crowded at the normal popular times. They have the same machines like every other Planet Fitness.
One BIG complaint: The tanning booth's are always dirty, as in not cleaned well at all. The light bulbs probably haven't been changed since they opened the place years ago. Several of them were burned out or flickering.one of them was not even in the socket. (See pic). I took a 9-minute tan and had NO difference in my skin color. Not even a little bit of red.

Location, cleanliness, friendly staff, very few out-of-order in machines, very spacious. I would absolutely add another cable crossover machine, I almost always have to wait to use it. It doesn't have to be another multi-station cable cross-over, it can be a single purpose machine. I would add a water fountain to the ground floor, the basement and second floor have water fountains. I find most of the silver heart rate monitor handles on the cardio machines do not work. I would have technician check and repair every defective HR sensor.

It's amazing mostly because my trainer Jhonatan make us feel at home to me and my son. I already see my results with my exercises plan and I want to gi back always because how polite is my trainer Jhon with my family. Thank you Jhon

This is the best value gym in NYC. If you don’t take classes, I highly recommend this gym (no class offerings available.) Always clean, quiet, and there is always enough equipment available - even during busy times. Staff is super friendly as well!

I love PF. Specially this on at w27th st. But you have to think about security more. For the last 3 months my lock was cut twice!

The Gym is not too crowded but, the stalls in bathrooms are not getting refilled often for toilet paper, and the latches are broken

Pros
- everything works
- spacious locker room with working lockers

Cons
- no separate area for black card spa — hydrochair is in a small closet and tanning booths are literally in the workout area as if anyone can use it
- horrible vibe from staff and members. Thought the staff were looking at me as if they were mocking me as I entered and exited.
- tv channels very limited in cardio area and cannot be changed.
- while spacious, equipment layout is disorganized — hard to find equipment.

Over the past few months it has gone down hill. Dirty all the time. The staff just walks past trash. A shame. This use to be my favorite planet fitness. Management what happened?

Can we talk about how nobody helps you at the front desk after 8pm? Like if you don't call the front desk no one checks to make sure you're there. I was trying to report thar equipment was broken to make sure nobody used it or got hurt and I stood at the desk for 10 minutes and never got help. Also couldn't make a purchase because I got no help. Depressing.

This place is clean and the Machines are in good condition and do not need no repairs not Like the other planet fitness on 35th street most of the machines needs repair

The gym is easily accessible, attractive, and clean, and it has all of the best cardio and weight machines. The gym personnel is enthusiastic, and the music is vibrant! VERY nice crew that I look forward to stepping through the doors and always leave feeling fantastic.

The experience was good front desk very nice, but the place is not very clean a need some improvement in the area

I come here to get a runners high going half speed on an elliptical set at its lowest resistance.

I left a great review a few months back. I’m guessing new management fired the best over night staff planet fitness could ask for, speaking for all PF overnight Crew we miss Devin & even the new staff Travis! Now most of us has to relocate & start a new workout family

THIS PARTICULAR PLANET FITNESS SO FAR IS MY FAVORITE ONE OF THEM ALL, IT IS LOCATED IN A GREAT AREA, WITH FRIENDLY PEOPLE, THE STREET IT IS ON IS A WHOLE SALE SPOT FOR ALL TYPES OF THINGS, JUST WALK UP 27TH ST TOWARDS 5TH AVE, THERE IS A DUNKIN DONUTS, CHIPOTLE, PLAYA BOWL WHICH THEY SELL ACAI FRUIT BOWLS,
WHOLE FOODS DOWN THE BLOCK, TACO BELL, PAPYA DOG, WALKING TOWARDS 23RD ST ALONG 7TH AVE.
THE GYM IS BIG BATHROOM IS O. K DECENT, LOCKER ROOM NICE, THE CHEST FLY MACHINE IS TO CLOSE TO THE AISLES, IF YOU ARE DOING A SET YOU CAN ACCIDENTALLY HIT SOMEONE OR THEY INDIRECTLY WILL INTERRUPT YOUR SET, AND WHAT I HAVE NOTICED IS THERE IS NO REAL STRETCH AREA,
THE AMBIANCE IN HERE IS QUIET, BUT IT IS COOL, THE EMPLOYEES WERE O. K, THE YOUNG LADY AT THE DESK WAS VERY NICE I DONT REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT I WENT AT 4PM 8/26/2022
OVERALL GREAT GYM, GREAT LOCATION, THE 1 TRAIN IS LOCATED 23RD AND 7TH AVE, E AND C TRAIN LOCATED 23RD STREET WITH A 25TH ST EXIT ON 8TH AVE, THE F TRAIN IS LOCATED ON 23RD STREET AND 6TH AVE, R TRAIN STATION LOCATED 23RD 5TH AVE, 6 TRAIN LOCATED ON 23RD AND PARK SO YOU HAVE OPTIONS TO THIS GREAT AREA GREAT GYM.

If I could rate this planet fitness location 0 stars I would, it’s honestly ridiculous at this point it’s been 2 weeks without Air Conditioning in the upper floor, and to add onto it working out in 90° weather makes it worse. It looks like the manager/ employees here are waiting for someone to faint in order to fix the AC. Completely disappointed.

Weekend closing time is no good, better open until 12: 00 am Friday and Saturday as well, could not go there because of early closing like 10: PM

The AC is broken for more than 10 days and is uncomfortable to work out. To be honest don’t know when they going to fix it.

The 2nd floor has no Ac and it's too hot to work out and i just signed up also my son is in a wheelchair and wanted to go to the 2nd floor but the lady at the front desk said there is no elevator and when i had come previously days and i had already use the elevator and i think this is not right for the ppl that needs to go workout. About to cancel my membership.i was just lie that there was no elevator but there is one.

No air conditioning, no hot water, and not clean. Everything is sticky and dusty in this place. The staff is very nice and I like the set up and members are considerate, but I wish they made more of an effort and actually cared about the condition of the club.

I’ve been coming here since January and while things were great first, it’s only been heading downhill in the past few months. First, it seems like they’ll allow any bum from the street to come in and use their lockers which results in things getting broken into and stolen. Then, most recently for the past month now there hasn’t been any a/c in the upper floor where most of the equipment is at. I don’t want a generic response like the ones you’ve been giving other bad reviews. Let me know what your plan of action is to mitigate these issues are because at the moment I’m seeing nothing being done to solve these problems and I’m ready to quit this gym.

I would have given this a 5 star but they refuse to fix the AC on the 2nd floor. Most of the equipment and machines are on this floor. It's 97 degrees outside and theres no AC. I asked when it's getting fixed and never got a got response.

Had mine and my co-worker's lockers broken into 3 weeks ago and now had my locker broken into again on Friday 06/25/2021 with 5 other members of this gym, this time they got all my cash from my wallet, my apple watch and my gold bracelet which my dad gifted me, he died last year from Covid, I do come to this gym every day and will like to know how management will fix this ongoing problem happening in the men's locker room. Its concerning and I will like to have feed back on how to proceed with this situation moving forward.

I can say it's actually a quiet decent place. But they need to fix the showers. Ppl want to shower after a good workout. Staff are nice.

This is not a great gym, I understand I am not their target audience, but any gym should know weight training is a healthy part of a training routine for women as well as men. There is far too much cardio equipment and not enough weight training gear, made even worse by the weird haphazard way they have tagged out equipment in a non logical way for covid. My main grievance is that there is no space for abs floor work and stretching, maybe you can get two people in the space they have for the whole gym in my eyes this is ridiculous, stretching is a vital part of a gym routine and so are abs and floor exercises. I was also there on multiple occasions where there was no paper towel on any stand, during a pandemic this is unacceptable and made me feel unsafe. I did like the variety of machines they had upstairs but no one has time to wait for the three people in line to use them.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have enough equipment to work out or cardio. I wish they had more space for stretching or yoga but I have been enjoying working out in this gym:)

Staff at the 27th St location are apparently not trained on how to sell water to out of network members at the discounted rate. And then I was told he couldn't sell water to me at all. By far the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. A gym that can't even sell water to its members.

Impossible to cancel membership. I have called and emailed the location as well as reached out to the corporate office who just routes the request to the local location. I would highly recommend avoiding this place and go with a more reputable gym.

This is a cool place to work out but it's off the beaten path on Fordham rd. The staff from what I remember is cool as hell. Sorry no pictures I'll add later.

Not enough free weights, which tend to be scattered all over place. Sometimes, they've been found on the 2nd floor. Also, most people don't return the equipment. For years, the paper towel dispenser in the free weights area has been broke or they are temperamental. The staff is extremely nice. In essence, you get what you pay for ($10/month). Last night, for example, in the basement, they had 1 sanitizer bottle and just a few paper towel dispensers actually worked. The staff member apologised. Pre-Covid-19, I wouldn't care as much; however, today's not the day to be cavalier about one's health. Most paper towel dispensers need to be replaced.

I really like this location comparing to the one i go to in brooklyn. It is so much bigger, cleaner and less crowded. I enjoyed my workout more at this location due to equipments availability.

The manager and staff are professional work hard to keep this Chelsea location clean to meet covid19 standards. I have experienced the appreciation of gym members supporting in cleaning their equipment after workouts, maIntaining social distancing and keeping their mask protocol. The manager readily provides masks if needed.which I have exercised on occasions. I approach the manager for his support if there is any need for his assistance. I am proudly to claim this as my gym. We are all adults ans must take our own responsibility for exercising covid19 principles.mustn’t we?

My items where stolen on 23rd street in Manhattan the same day I made my account and still no action was taken

Almost impossible to cancel a membership, I've been trying since 2018. No one answers the phone, I've even reached out to Planet Fitness member services and they reached out to the gym directly, 2 years later, I'm still being charged. I even tried to cancel my membership months after I originally signed up in 2014 and was told I would face fees. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of Customer Service here. I would NEVER join a Planet Fitness again. Clearly they only care about charging their monthly fees and don't even look at people who haven't been active for years.

My wife just cancelled our membership here. She has experienced multiple occasions of multiple people not wearing masks. The staff does nothing. We have photos of people with masks around their chin, no mask at all. We understand people are terrible, but there needs to be repercussions for those who wont follow basic health guidelines.

I loved this location until they stole my phone and my wallet in the locker room yet it was closed with lock, this happened today. You have to careful once you use the locker room downstairs. You can also use the one upstairs it's safer.
Otherwise the staff are very friendly and professional.

Black card is best deal in town. Always clean and, due to COVID-19, machines I want are always available.
