The place is always clean, never really crowded, great hours. You can't beat it for the price.

I love it except when busy but work around it. Busy is good in a way
NEEDS to stay open until at least 10P weekends for those of us that work weekends

I've been going here for almost 2 years and this is place is the reason I love training. Though I do wish there were more machines (Smith, cables, curls, shoulder press, and more ab machines) this place is good for me. I've met some really cool people here too.though not anyone my age (nearly 30). I'm just there to train and get home and it does it good!

Great equipment, there are two of some machines so you don't always have to wait, plenty of benches and dumbbells, barbells, etc, all with safety features. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Both the members and staff keep the gym very clean. Convenient location. The app also has very useful features, for example, you can see how crowded the gym is at any given time. I would highly recommend Planet Fitness for anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness, even if they aren't necessarily interested in gaining muscle. There is something at Planet Fitness for everyone, including a large variety of cardio equipment. The only thing you won't find there is judgement from the staff and fellow members! On a personal note, I'm nearing 60 years old, I've only been working out for 13 weeks, and I have lost 5 inches off my stomach and gained 2+ inches on every muscle.

While Medford is my home base, I love visiting Selden! The staff is always so friendly, place is always clean and get to work out with my Dad

Planet Fitness Selden is an absolute gem among gyms! I've been a regular here for over a year now, and I have never experienced such a wonderful fitness environment. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they make me feel right at home every time I walk through the door. The equipment is state-of-the-art, and everything is always in perfect working order. The gym is spotless, and I really appreciate how they provide cleaning supplies to ensure that everything stays clean and sanitary. I seriously look forward to working out here every day. The positive energy and upbeat atmosphere are contagious, and I always leave feeling happy and accomplished. Anyone looking for a truly exceptional gym experience should definitely check out Planet Fitness Selden. It's the best gym around and deserves all the accolades it receives!

Too bad this Planet Fitness is not 24/7 like in other states I've lived. I work weird hours so half the time its closed.

Doesn’t matter what time you arrive weights are always in the right place. Everyone takes pride and ownership in this gym and it shows!

This is my go to Planet Fitness and I really like it. It's not very large but has enough space and equipment for busy hours. The staff cleans a lot and are very friendly.

The women's locker room is clean as well which I appreciate.

Clean facility. No free weights as it is a planet fitness. But they have plenty to build strength and endurance. Stair climbers are there for serious cardio. Good spot and great staff

Cheap membership. Tanning beds, equipment, and showers could be cleaner, but overall worth the money they charge for membership.

This gym is very clean, the morning and afternoon staff is very nice. It's a little on the smaller side. I'm giving it 3 stars because of the size and because the night staff is very rude and stand offish, and has been multiple times.

New experience for me. I picked the right gym. Friendly staff and from the most advanced to the beginners everyone is nice to one another. Very clean. Always available machines.

I am recently back and am disappointed. To be clear I do not agree with the local masking guidelines. That said if we need to wear masks and the sign states that, we should all wear them. I have seen way to many people wearing masks as a scarf or even not at all. That coupled with the increasing amount of people not being considerate and washing machines after use WITHOUT the masks being worn is just not right. I’m the last 30 minutes I’ve seen people walk in maskless, nothing said. People on treadmills with masks hanging off their ear coughing and sneezing on equipment. The garbages seem to be full a lot more and i get that it’s hard to find people to work and involves awkward conversations but with 3-4 people behind the desk (mostly evening and weekend), it would be nice to see someone walking around with basic reminders and doing some random cleaning. Looks more like a social event at the desk. Again, I get it and here is the thing…. We should all be following the rules. May have to reconsider my commitment to returning to this location.

Great place to work out friendly staff always clean plenty of equipment. Just a nice place to go!

Some staff is friendly and some are not. The atmosphere is inviting. The location is clean. Only downside is they do not have some essential machines because it is against their policy eg. Squat rack, bench press etc because they are considered "intimidating" which is subjective. Lastly, they have discontinued the bagels and pizza (due to COVID-19) which is already included in monthly membership fee.

Gym is very clean, well ventilated, equipment in good condition. The staff is very friendly & helpful. It's generally not crowded when I go. I've been working with the trainer, Joe, & he's very careful to make sure I'm working out safely yet increasing my workout at a good pace. I never enjoyed using gym equipment before but it's been a great experience. Very satisfied & plan to keep going.

Paper towel dispensers are working again so I'm happy. The reason for only 4 stars is they're missing some machines and have too many of others. Other than that its a great gym. Friendly staff and never too crowded.

I prefer slow hours just to ensure I get on all the machines I want to

I love going to this Planet Fitness. Even with every other machine being blocked to help maintain social distancing, there are always machines available. It's never too crowded, always clean, and the staff is very nice. Can't ask for anything more in a gym.

I Love Planet Fitness! First of all it's not so crowded. The Staff are wonderful and Joe my Trainer is in a word. FANTASTIC! He is patient, encouraging and is very helpful. If you have a Question he answers to the best of his ability. Love It! Love it!

I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to Kenny, Eli, and Sean that work at the planet fitness in selden, ny. I showed up to that gym in September, a mess. But you three have never given up on me once in the gym. You always push me to do more reps, sets, and maximize every weight I can. Your always teaching me new things, new ways to work out. I've spent the last 12+ weeks building muscle and getting stronger. Now, it's time to tone it up and I know I can do it because I have a great support team behind me. So, thank you for believing in me when I didn't believe in myself.

Very well kept gym. Equipment is in nice shape. Paper towels to clean up are always stocked. Staff is friendly. Locker rooms have been clean as well

It’s a good gym but I’m considering switching gyms for heavier dumbbells and curling bars. Also free weight barbell press would be nice instead of the smiths machines and plus, sauna

Penny Pinching Cheapskates! Their policy of not accepting credit card payments has ZERO to do with customer convenience and EVERYTHING to do with avoiding credit card fees! And I should give you a direct line for sticking your hand into my checking account because you don't want to pay the fees that every other retailer pays? Get real!

I like Planet Fitness because there are alot of machines. The machines are up to date. The place is clean and bright. My wife is into classes which they do not have, however she still comes with me at times for a good workout. My Black membership also includes massage chairs, tanning areas and a massage bed. The fees are reasonable. I give it 4 stars because they don't have All the amenities of other gyms. What they Do have works for me!

Stop hiring kids to run the place! I shouldn’t have to wait for Kyle to finish making his TikTok before they turn on the tanning booth

Great starter/intermediate gym, equipment is kept up well and locker rooms and bathrooms are clean. This is not an intimidating gym and the staff is pleasent.

The coaches are knowledgeable, motivating and they make it fun while pushing you to reach your full potential. The gym is also extremely clean and the workouts are awesome!

They have the best equipment and service is outstanding. The location and atmosphere is fantastic. Recommended.

When I saw the planet fitness open up in Selden I was excited because it was closer to me.after I went there I regret switching my membership from the Port Jefferson station gym to that gym. Their treadmills can't be synced with any device that monitor heart rate like stairclimber, or any other piece of equipment at supposed to monitor your heart rate and adjust automatically to give you an accurate workout.

I use a Polar T31 and works and every other planet fitness in the area and those machines are older. I guess they put a cheaper models of the Life fitness treadmills and other equipment in the Selden store. You have to hold onto the real threat to check your heart rate and it doesn't automatically compensate when you reach your target rate.

I asked the staff members about that and nobody knew anything I called the manager the following morning and she didn't know anything about that such devices that monitor your heart rate on treadmills existed. They're very poorly trained and they should know more about the equipment that's out there.

I guess you get what you pay for. The staff members are probably not paid that much so they probably not going to be training that well either.

When I have to do my cardio workout I go to the Port Jefferson station gym. I regret switching my membership over.

Love it here. Even when it’s “busy” you’re able to concentrate on your workout. Lots of encouragement, friendly staff, CLEAN facility.

Clean, motivating and good atmosphere. Just they do not maintain the 30 minute workout area so people just sit on machines or play loud music. It's really annoying.

Gym is very clean and nice. Only downfall is they keep it to hot in there. Need to use those fans to keep it cooler.

I live in Selden and I have always wanted to join a gym that was close to home and this location was perfect, the gym is very clean they have pleasant workers always willing to help to show you how the Machines /equipment works very happy with this location.

Very nice people that actually know what they are doing.also people that knows how to clean very nice staff and good vives
