Great bar with multiple spaces. Went on a Sunday and the upstairs dj was great. Not crowded but great vibes from the other patrons.

I sat at the bar just for drinks! It’s a nice place, wanna go again for their live jazz performances. When I was there, it was live country music just a bit too loud, was hard to hear each other.

Had a lot of fun here! The bottom floor is free but the top floor you have to pay $10 to get into. I loved the music. Downstairs was mostly hip hop. Upstairs was a mix of Latin and hip hop. Got a rum and coke for $14 but it was very weak the way the bartender made it downstairs. Upstairs i tried another and it was more to my liking. I'd definitely go again.

I would highly recommend coming here to have a good time with lively music that just makes you wanna dance. I like coming before it gets too packed, which is around 11 PM in my experience.

Went here to see some live indie bands, I was definitely not disappointed. Didn’t spend much time at the bar, but the show was very good. Not a huge room, but good for new bands looking to get discovered.

This place is always a good time. I usually always go upstairs to dance. There is a well mixed crowd (age, race, etc.) but we vibe well together. When folks visit town, I always bring them here for a night out.

Security can sometimes be a hassle or a little rude, especially on the weekends so prepare for that. The later it gets, there is usually a line to get to the second-floor dance area and they will make you wait each time if you come down. Plan to arrive with your group at once or just wait for your friends upstairs!

Drinks are usually pretty strong but definitely no frills.

There will typically be a cover charge after 10 or 11.

0 stars. We had a group of 8 girls go in infront of us. Me and one other male friend went to come in (to meet our group of friends who were inside) and the bouncer literally said “we’re not letting single guys in side, come off the line”. Very rude and disrespectful.

Humiliating.
They didn't let me in because there was no woman accompanying me. Even when I joined a group, the security guard threatened to kick everyone out if they tried to join me. Why?
I have never been treated this way anywhere in the world, discriminated against, pushed out of line and shouted at with such stupidity. I was in NYC for work and just wanted to listen to some music.
Please don't waste your time and money on a place like this. Across the street there are MUCH better options that will treat you with respect.

Overall, Pianos is a nice spot, good drinks, music and dance floors. Yesterday I brought my girlfriend here for her first night in NYC. I was left with a sour taste in my mouth however as I had never experienced that level of gender based price discrimination on covers before. DCA

The prices at this place are absolutely insane, for the venue i payed over 60 for two plates and a drink! This is absolutely ridiculous how obviously not the employees fault but for the venue they need to do better.

Good music, 3 different DJ's one in the back, one on the main floor and one upstairs. Be warned this is the place for black guys and white girls to mix.

Pianos is a cool spot with three different "rooms" playing multiple genres of music. The bartender Matt is not only easy on the eyes, but his magical hands are pleasing to my drinking palette! The food is pretty ok. The security are a lil too rough and they need to work on communication skills. Otherwise it's a great spot and you'll have a great time!

Place for people in their early twenties. Fun vibe to out to with a group of friends but too crowded. The security can be interesting with their selections of who they let in based on gender ratios

The music and vibe is great completely reccomend but the bouncer and front guy I spoke to when I got worried my friend was missing did not care at all.

Pianos is a very popular nightlife club. That features a variety of music simultaneously in its upstairs and downstairs styled lounging area. The night I went I paid USD$20.00 to gain entry. The top floor was a melody of Caribbean focused music and the bottom a blend of house and other genres. 5 out of 5 stars worth the experience.

Went to this place earlier. They've switched to Beyond Meat (veggie patties) which is cool. However that fails to explain why it took about 40min to prepare a veggie patty. We complain and they tell us 5 more min. Unclear if they forgot about our order but we seemed to be the only ones getting food at the restaurant. Not into the idea of a burger on an English muffin, feels like something prepared in a Walmart parking lot. That would have at least explained my nausea and the food poisoning we got just after leaving the restaurant. 2 people (not employees) asked us about the food while we were eating because they seemed to have their own hesitations. Rightfully so. The $5 Happy Hour Frozen Margs were good tho.

I stood l in line for nearly an hour for them to tell me that I couldn’t get in since there would only be a guy to girl ratio. Ruined my night. I didn’t have a girl with me. But the most upsetting thing was that they changed it to a guy to girl ratio last minute. It’s highly upsetting to wait in line for nearly an hour to be told that I can’t get in because I didn’t have a girl with me. How upsetting!

A great bar to go to when you want to drink AND dance! It's better to get there before 12am or there will be a long line! But once you're in there it is a great time! Great music and great vibes

keep you entertained before you tear yourself away for hours of great live music in the back. Mediterranean nachos make for a savory meal while listening to nonstop tunes spun for pleasure. Even when I'm going to other venues for bands, I stop by Pianos for dinner and drinks. There's no beating the quality and price.

Bouncers are the worse I've ever experienced in New York. This place is low class trash.foh. Bouncers are obviously high on drugs on slow Wednesday night. Avoid this place. It literally is a horrible representation of what you should expect when you want to have a good time in New York.

The grimiest hands down worst club in the city. The chairs are sticky, the staff are terrible and incompetent. I would only come here if I wanted to get robbed by one of the sketchy patrons. If I could give them less than a 1 star I would

Me and some close friends and family came to pianos on a Saturday at 8: 50pm ish to celebrate my sister's birthday by starting the night at pianos.

The security was really cool in quieting a group of people who was cheering at everyone that walked into the place. It was 9pm the night just started and people were hammered.

The dj was meh and the drink prices were way to expensive. I ordered a vodka cranberry and a mojito that came to a total of $27. I know this place is in New York but jeez laweeze, you have to be stupid to spend your whole night there. We left after 1 round of drinks.

I came here before a few years back and I know that is alot of time for some change. Perhaps that night was a bad night to go there. I don't really recommend this place if you want to stay the whole night. At least the AC worked, and they have someone cleaning the bathrooms.

I’ve been coming to Pianos for years. Always fun music, always a good dance floor upstairs. Tonight I was physically dragged out the door by security guards, after doing nothing to threaten the safety of any other guests at the bar. Two different employees grabbed me by my arms repeatedly, even after I complied with their requests to exit the bar. I was guilty only of being in the restroom at the same time as a friend, which apparently is not permitted. When asked to leave, I went back to the dance floor to make sure the friends I was leaving behind were alright, and was promptly grabbed by my arms by a security guard. I offered no resistance other than to ask not to be touched having done nothing wrong, and was grabbed similarly by a second security guard on the stairs as I was exiting the premises. I was compliant and still was assaulted by these employees repeatedly as I attempted to leave as requested. It was unnecessary and abusive. I was not unorderly nor overly intoxicated. They were unnecessarily physical and disregarded the fact that I was compliant. It was cruel and unnecessary and I hope that this establishment investigates the conduct of its employees, whom I feel to be reckless and physical though unprovoked. It is shameful and unprofessional. Legal action is not out of the question.

Dope space for up and coming artist. Saw Hadji Gaviota there. Fuego. Bar is busy and the drinks is cool. Staff is nice as well, the lady that was checking the will call was dope and answered questions and her curly hair was cool.

Honestly had a good time for the short time I was there. Even if you’re not seeing the a show they sometimes have DJ’s doing sets up there so it’s a nice spot if you feel like going to a party but don’t want to at the same time. And food in the area is good as well.

This place is okay, but one of the bounces was extremely rude and unprofessional. Several drunk customers started getting rough and causing a scene, not once but twice, so we didn't have the best experience.

Homey. Speedy service. Staff is super sweet. Happy hour is affordable and the ambiance is chill a d relax. Great for conversation.

Pianos is always a great place to get happy hour with friends and discover new music. We always end up there when we have no clue where else to go. Never disappoints.

Classic spot in LES. Definitely went here for the first time because Childish Gambino rapped about it. 3 different rooms = 3 different vibes. Bathrooms were nasty but we cleaned them up, hire us!

My friends and I wanted to come to this place to enjoy our Monday night and see a rap battle event they were hosting - they turned us away at the door, and asserted that my friends ID was fake and could not be allowed in. My friend is 100% of age, and insisted that they scan the ID to verify it's authenticity- this man refused and yelled at us to leave. He told us to call the police if we had an issue. I've never witnessed anything so rude or disrespectful and I can't ever recommend this place after receiving that kind of treatment. The bouncer was even apologizing to us and saying he was sorry but he couldn't let us in because of this rude, drunk man. I don't know if he was the owner or someone who ran the establishment, but he told us to never show up here again - and we won't. We will gladly never take our business here again. Thank you:)

I would not recommend this place to anyone. Bouncers are SMOKING WEED on the job. Appalled at the unprofessional behavior.

This was around 8: 30 on 4/27. He was hitting a dab pen. Looked like he was purposely turning away from the cameras. He was facing the street. Not sure about the other bouncers but I know one was.
