Terrible company. They don't keep appointments. Tires sold are rarely in stock when appointment is made, meaning new appointment is needed. Employees don't care because they are overwhelmed due to lack of proper staffing. Waiting rooms are a mess and cold. Go somewhere else. Review by Jim in Kenmore NY
I had set up an appointment online for my vehicle‘s yearly inspection. I got a call from them stating that it is best to call them, as the website is never up to date on their appointments and they were overbooked. They reschedule my appointment. I got there for my 11: 30am appointment and had to wait about 90 minutes. Vehicle passed so I was happy.
I ordered tires that were slightly too wide for my vehicle but Pep Boys installed them anyway. I accept responsibility for my owner error. The big tires were put on well and aligned - I have no complaints. But I wasn't notified until after the work was done that the tires were too wide. When I checked out, the sales associate informed me of this issue but said there shouldn't be any issues, which I believe to be true since the car drives well, but on extreme turns I do occasionally hear a faint rubbing noise. I wish there was a way that my error could have been caught before the bill was issued.
