Twice this has happened to me here: I asked them to do an annual emissions inspection and they placed all these conditions in order to pass me - i.e. Spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars or we'll fail you In both cases I took my car to our usual mechanic, who is farther away in Bay Ridge, and he told us the issues they highlighted were either non-existent or not at all urgent. So, despite being impressed with the staff and appreciative of their responsivness, beware. In my opinion, they have been quite aggressive.

I have knocking sound coming from my engine at cold start. I took my car here. They told me the oil level was low and that’s why the engine made the knocking sound at cold start. They refilled the oil with one quart of oil and sound has gone away. That’s what they said and charged me 153$ for basically refilling the oil. The next day I cold start the car and it makes the same knocking sound. I called them, told them that they didn’t fix the issue. They told me I should bring the car in so they can further investigate the problem. I said sure, so you can charge me another 153$ for nothing? No way, I’ll take my care to a different shop. So this is the professionalism that you can read on all the five star reviews. Oh and another thing. I left a one start review on their website. And guess what, it did not appear on the site. Looking on the reviews on their website, all of them are five stars, there are 700+ reviews, all five stars. Not a single four star. Surely you can have a 5.0 review out of 700+ reviews if you let only five stars reviews on your site. Anyway they are unprofessional and clearly incompetent. Stay away.

I came I here when a light came on on my dash just before a long drive. They were able to quickly diagnose and fit me in that day so that my trip wasn’t ruined, and they charged a very fair price. I’ll be coming back here for anything I need, they’re great!

Just moved up here from upstate and needed an oil change and to check an engine light. Passed this place several times and looked it up on internet. Sent them an email over the holiday weekend and they responded quickly and set me up with a time to come in. Was taken care of very professionally and in short time, had a complete oil change and a potential problem was diagnosed. Cost was very reasonable. Very happy that I found a place close to our home that is professional and expert.

I recently made New Millennium my mechanic and they are awesome. Really nice, affordable, and helpful. I recently had a light on my dash go on while I was driving back to Brooklyn from Nashville, TN, and thinking it was my oil pressure light, I pulled over on the highway in the middle of nowhere in TN. I called New Millennium and Maria and Javier worked with me over the phone to determine if it was safe to drive my car (it was). They saved me a couple hundred in towing fees and were so helpful in a stressful situation. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I've been going to New Millennium for years and it's by far the best auto shop I've dealt with in Brooklyn. They are very professional and honest, giving you a full, detailed invoice of all parts and labor they recommend based on their diagnosis. They are not pushy at all, and make it known that they have no problem if you'd like to check prices elsewhere. The work they do is solid, and I've never had to go back to get anything re-fixed.

These are kind, honest people. The woman working the office was so courteous and timely. The gentleman who worked on my car explained the issue, how he went about the diagnostics, and was honest about what work was needed and what could wait. I’ll be back whenever I need work done, major or minor.

I’ve been working with the people at New Millennium for more than 20 years. They are reliable, knowledgeable, and do excellent work at fair prices. Hard to find this combination of quality and trustworthiness these days.

After moving to Brooklyn from the UWS, I needed a new auto repair shop. I had been meaning to get some work done to my vehicle that I had been putting off. As any typical millennial, I went online, did some research, looked at reviews, and started calling places. After calling a half dozen shops in the area, I called Maria (amazing receptionist) back to schedule an appt. They are a busy shop due to how great the service is so don't be put off if they can't take you in right away. I needed exhaust work done and they were also one of the few places that didn't tell me to go to a muffler shop - so they should be able to do most work.

Maria laid out their process of looking at the vehicle, putting together a quote and description of the work needed, and then calling you back to see what you wanted to be done. During the inspection of the vehicle, a technician called me to ask for further information about what specifically I was noticing which showed their attention to detail. When going over the work that needed to be done, along with the cost - I had a rep Javier walk me through all the work, giving me a description of what he'd do vs what I could wait on which I appreciated as well. He also answered all my questions. They had my car for a few days, fixed a number of things, and had my car back in 3-4 business days. During the entire fix, I received a call at the end of most days giving me an update and keeping me in the loop with how things were progressing.

Their attention to customer service is something I honestly didn't expect from an auto repair shop - and their integrity and professionalism with the work I needed to get done vs what could wait was also refreshing. I highly recommend the shop and will be going back for any future car needs.

New millennium was fantastic to work with! I live 6 hours north of Brooklyn, near the Canadian border, and as a used car shopper I needed a prospective vehicle evaluated down there, where the car was. They made it easy to have the seller drop off the car; they did a thorough inspection and emailed me results; and they took payment over the phone. When I called the Toyota dealer, they were unwilling to take a credit card over the phone and the whole situation felt impossibly complicated. With New Millennium it was simple, friendly, and efficient. I'm so grateful!
