I have been going here for over 15 years. I do full body waxing, face threading and henna here. My aunts and cousins also use this place and we wouldn't go anywhere else. They have become like family to me. I have never had a bad experience here in all those years. ️

This is the worst salon I have ever been too. Poor services plus whenever u call them for an appointment the 2 ladies who work there says they are busy no appointment and when u pass by the salon u see them sitting with no customers. If u walk in just for eyebrows the ladies who work there gives u a big attitude and asks if I have an appointment and turns u away. All this is to blame the owner of the salon who doesn’t even know what’s even going on in the salon.

Today was my wedding day, they were able to squeeze my entire family in last minute. Staff is friendly and super considerate. I’m all for supporting a small business owners!

I’m very particular with brows and always satisfied with how well they come out when I come in for a clean up I’ve never been disappointed here!

I’ve been coming to this place for a while now. I like how the girls do my eyebrows but from now on, I’m never coming here again. I called for an appointment and the girl told me to come in, in 15 min and i said ok I’m on my way but I got there 10min late bc of traffic and the owner gave me a really nasty attitude. She made me feel really bad. She asked me at what time was my appointment I said they didn’t give me an exact time to come in, and she said they couldn’t take me. Then she said to wait 10 minutes and I said ok! But she was speaking in her language to the other girl and looking at me. It made me feel uncomfortable, so I said I’m leaving, I’m going somewhere else instead. And she told me to not come back to her place again! Of course I’m not coming back ever again! Very unprofessional!

I went for my threading and full face waxing; she literally burnt my skin. She definitely needs more training.

Horrible! The person who did my eyebrows must have been inexperienced. After a day I started noticing that I still had pain and then noticed that she literally hurt me with the thread and I have a scar. Also they are not clean and the owner is very unprofessional. I do not understand these good reviews.

I have been coming here for 5+ years! The owner Shahida and all the workers are really nice and professional. They keep the place very clean in general but more so during this pandemic. They are very vigilant about cleaning the chair each time a new customer sits and they sanitize their hands and or wash after every customer. Also, in reference to the negative comment that someone wrote below, I want to make people aware that i was present when this person had come for eyebrows. The owner was not at all unprofessional.

This post is long overdue! About a month ago in the midst of quarantine & all that was going on in NY, Shahida specially took out half her day to work on my hair, came all suited up and made sure everything was extra clean due to the circumstances.
She didn’t let me leave until I was fully satisfied with the color. I live in Chicago now and was just visiting. I don’t trust many people with my hair or eyebrows, but Shahida does a great job. She truly loves what she does and it shows in her work.
I highly recommend her for all your beauty needs, she will not disappoint! Have been a customer of hers for over 10 years and will continue to go to her whenever I’m in town.

“Owner” is extremely unprofessional. When calling the salon, they say they don’t put thread in their mouth. When I went, she used thread from her mouth during this pandemic. Not hygienic at all. I asked her politely why she’s using her mouth to which she replied “I’ve been running this store for 20 years” and then proceeded to show me a negative report from April 2020 (9 months ago) and started to yell at me. She didn’t do my ear piercings at the same location, and didn’t finish threading one of my eyebrows after she started raising her voice at me. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. 0/10 recommend for any “service”, waste of your money! Wouldn’t be surprised if she deletes all negative reviews

I have worked with newlooksalonspa 8 years. It's A wonderful experience I have which I will cherish my memories with my coworkers & specially with miss SHAHIDA, her ethics & Rules regulations is phenomenal, most Gorgeous, modern and clean salon in Hicksville.its Guaranteed, she open on time close on Time, no exception because she maintained her work ethic, So some uncivilized people can't digest that principle.this fact, anyways Thank you for your love and respect unconditional educations, I love u and respect you from my heart. (you never let us give chance to ask our salary. Every week Tuesday it's in our station, thank you for your kindness.)

It was my second visit at this salon and i was so pleased to go back to this place as the owner is so sweet and welcoming. I love the girl sinchan she is so wonderful and very neat work.you can trust her with my close eyes she is one of the most perfect person i have know who knows how to satisfy a customer keep it guys!

I have tried twice to come here during their business hours and they close the doors before their scheduled time to close. It's 6: 35pm and I drove an hour to get here and they are once again closed at 6: 35. The very rude owner told me they won't be taking me and to come back another day.

I absolutely love this place, I have been going here for about 13 years. Shahida, the owner is an absolute gem, so caring and pays special attention to the needs of her customers. I refer everyone here, and they all share the same experience. Not only are my eyebrows always on point, they pay attention to the health of my skin, and always give great advice on how to maintain healthy skin. She’s always honest too, if I don’t need to get my eyebrows done, she will tell me the truth, and tell me to give them time to grow, I appreciate that she is more concerned with proper care than making money. Her team is always so sweet as well! Definitely recommended! I encourage ppl don’t just take the word of a negative review, try them out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. The salon does service wedding parties so on weekends call ahead, to get an idea of wait time.

I have been visiting this salon from so many years and I always got excellent service. The owner and staff are nice and accommodating. So far I am happy with the quality of service and will highly recommend this place to others.

I have been coming here for years for eyebrow threading. Never a bad experience. My kids also had a great experience their first time getting threaded.

Try to avoid this place for KERATIN TREATMENT! I was here for keratin treatment but My hair still looked the same as before. After my 1st wash i called her immediately and complained then she promised me that she'll be doing for free next time, i understand that she couldn't refund my amount as she spent her half a bottle of cream on my hair. Even after the second treatment 40% of my hair was straight and the rest was curly.when i went in directly and shown her my hair she said that this time she'll be doing only touch up so that she can save her cream and time i agreed and went after 2-3weeks for an appointment but this time she changed her mind and started telling me that she's not ready to spend a single penny on my hair and blaming me that i am using a wrong shampoo.other than that she is a big RACIST This is the last time I will never go to this place again.
