Update: even though Nori has been away (really miss him) I come here. Mick is a master of his art. I get compliments on my haircuts without fail every time. My favorite salon.

I went Sunday for a scalp treatment and blow dry. This was my first time receiving this type of service. Lynn was my stylist that day, and I could not be more satisfied! She made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She even offered me a towel for my legs since I was wearing a shorter outfit which I appreciated as I didn’t have to worry about having to constantly check to see if I needed to readjust myself. She was amazing at explaining every step of the process and the reasoning behind it. My scalp felt so clean, moisturized, and light. I’ve already recommended her to my family members and friends. I cannot wait to come back!

Definitely want to be fair with my review. I waited 3 months (5/28) to see if there was any positive change to my hair but unfortunately no. I did a scalp treatment and a haircut. It substantially dried my hair after I did it. She also looked confused on how to give layers, so I have very uneven layers. I’m going to go to another salon to see how they can salvage my hair but I’m really sad for my hair after this experience. Just be careful to not get your hair thinned out too much and to ensure the products don’t dry your hair out. Best of luck!

I absolutely love Nagi Hair. I've been coming here ever since I moved to New York and I recommend this salon to anybody who will listen. The place is small and cozy, and the whole staff knows their stuff. From getting your hair washed up till it getting styled, Nagi Hair delivers excellent and high quality service.

I've been coming to Nagi Hair for a couple years now and I couldn't recommend them enough. All the hair stylists, from what I've observed are very pleasant, accommodating, and take their time to take care of you. It took me a long time just to find a hair stylist that could handle my unruly hair and I'm glad I found Nori. He is absolutely amazing and I am glad I no longer have to worry about my haircuts. I just sit in the chair and let him work his magic. I look forward to my next and future haircuts at Nagi Hair.

Nagi, and especially Zen, never disappoints. Zen has been cutting and highlighting my hair for a few years now and I haven’t once had a bad cut or color. He is incredibly meticulous- the cut and the style are always great and the highlights are the most natural looking I’ve ever had. In addition, hair health is huge part of the salon’s offering. The salon is always clean, COVID precautions are taken very seriously, and everyone is always on time. Can’t recommend enough.

Zen is my go-to hairdresser and he’s as close to perfection as it gets. He gives me an incredible pixie that grows out gracefully between cuts. I’ve had so many compliments, people stop me on the streets to ask where I got it cut. The salon also provides incredible service, and general good vibes. It’s the best hair salon in my books.

Color is good, but I’m honestly very disappointed with the haircut. Spent almost 3 hours with bleach and color, but only 15 mins with hair cut. No layers, just make hair thinner and literally just cut a bit shorter. No technique. Definitely not worth $85. Will not come again

Awesome place! Great salon and great customer service. I wanted to treat my mom to a Japanese hair salon specifically to get the head spa treatment. She visited me from the West Coast. Zen took care of her and he was so professional, polite, gentle, and really took his time with my mother even though there were two other people sitting who came towards the end of my mom services but he still managed to be patient and take his time with my mother. My mom got a root touchup, head spa treatment which cleansed her scalp, and a protein treatment. Her hair came out fantastic, and she has really curly hair but Zen did a great job managing curly hair which is really hard. My mom said she would love to come back to this place every time she visits New York!

Very professional environment focused on hair cuts, not product, color or styling etc.they can do all of those things but it's nice to get a quality hair cut without being upsold. Also, Coco makes even classic cuts seem modern and sleek. Great place!

Coco deserves mad props for being the most patient and accommodating hair stylist I’ve ever had, while still being able to inject her own individual style into the cut. I’ve switched around a lot with stylists over the years in NYC — 10 years and counting now. She understands Asian hair well, masterfully layering my stubbornly stiff hair while explaining to me each step of the way what she’s doing and why she chose those methods specifically for me. She also does this thing where after cutting to a certain point she would ask me to feel my hair so she can make any adjustments along the way. I appreciate that she’s so willing to accommodate her clients, doesn’t take feedback personally, and as a cherry on top, is a joy to talk to. <3 thank you coco!

Nagi Hair Salon is the best salon. I only trust this salon to listen to my needs and get what I want done. Nori is fantastic and there are no surprises. Great scalp massages and great haircuts. 5+ stars.

You get a massage with hair wash, which is amazing!

I've been going to Nagi Hair for the past couple years since I stumbled upon it on a random search online. Nori is an absolute gem and is so caring. He really takes the time to look at your hair, assess what will look best, and support any ideas that you bring to him! My hair is healthier since I've started going to him, and it's just good vibes really getting to hang out with Nori while getting a cut or any service there.

This is the first time I’ve been happy with all my haircuts from long pop to undercuts by coco and never been disappointed. I never need to get used to the haircut to like it. She really knows how to style your hair without saying much and I enjoy coco as a hairstylist.
