Mustang Magic & American Muscle

Well was going to leave a 3 or maybe 4 star. But here’s a 1 cause I was told it’s impossible that my front and rear wheels were switched there at the shop. Dropped brothers car off to get rear gears done. Was quoted a price I was ok with and if it needed more for the rear still was ok with. But then they fixed other issues up front which I still would be ok with if I confirmed it and got quoted for it before hand. I can do the work myself, just wanted the rear done. Which I mentioned 3x But $300 to say hey it’s your front hub. It’s crazy to me. They knew my brother didn’t know anything about cars. Just kinda upset since I’m laying the money out for my brother and I didn’t confirm the work. I did say all 3 phone calls just need rear done. I’ll worry about what’s needed. Was told battery is dead after bill. Which it’s a year old never had an issue. But They changed it without confirmation Made them put it back cause I have 3 year warranty. So saved $200. Car Starts right up and sitting at 14.3v, and guarantee it will continue to start up. But again, I’m down to support Shops, but this was a bad experience. I’ve hear some horror story’s and good story’s, but wanted to try it out since i was busy and car needed it done. Must say they did good work. Car drives really good again. But the fact the wheels were swapped wrong, most likely on accident. Which they can role the cameras back and look to see it came there like that. Cause I’m the only one who touches the car and fronts match and rears match. That’s the reason for the review. Went from $700-1k price quote to 2790-3k cash/card price. Without battery came to $2550 cash. Yes pretty upset. Please do better next time. Because what if it went to 5k or 10k whatever the price, we need to be kept in the loop incase. Yes I have the funds. My brother didn’t tho, same for anyone that might not have it either. Also always own up to any mistakes. Don’t tell the customer their wrong without the proof. Cameras will prove it. Car came with rears matching and leaving rears not matching, it’s obvious which are which. I noticed it right when It got home ready for a wash after pickup. Sorry for the 1 star, but that’s how it went for me. If was told hey we’ll hook you up, or hey sorry for the swap mistake. Come by for a free oil change or quick service, then this woulda been back up a few stars. But nope told it’s impossible couldn’t have happened here. “CHECK Cameras” Other then that seems like a solid shop. Hope this won’t happen to anyone and it was just a fluke. Thank You

These guys are great! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and very passionate about mustangs. Took my car to them for an issue I couldn’t figure out, and within 5 minutes they had it diagnosed and fixed. It was an oversight on my part, but for them it was second nature. Great spot! Will be coming to them in the future!

Had an issue with the gear system on my mustang. They identified and resolved the issue. Car runs well now. I would definitely recommend their services for your mustang

This place should be ashamed to be in business since the 90’s. I brought my 93 Ford Mustang GT and these “mechanics” did nothing, but lie to me and charge me $4,200k for their “service”. They said they changed the valve cover gaskets, fan clutch, chipped and tuned my car all to come to find out when my neighbor, who’s an actual mechanic, looked over the car to tell me they did nothing. They took advantage of a person who was new to the mustang culture. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE.

Been out of the race scene for quite some time until now. After breaking down at the track I had my 2014 Mustang GT diagnosed at Mustang Magic. I am happy to say thanks to Joe and his team my car is out on the street again and I am as happy as can be. It’s nice to have professionals you can count on.

Took my roush 05 gt mustang there. Car was running funny.had it at two other shops with no success. Took it here and 3 hours later it was fixed. Thanks again guys.

Took my 2016 GT here because I was initially running a palm beach Dyno tune, but noticed it was running very rich, and felt I could get more power out of it. I also was unable to pass inspection so I decided to bring it to Mustang Magic for a new Dyno tune. I could not be happier with it. I literally just drove the car home and it no longer smells of gas, the MPG is way up, and it rips harder than I could have imagined. I was helped by LJ and tuned by Jose, both very knowledgeable. Prices are not the cheapest, but remember, you get what you pay for! Definitely recommend coming to these guys, and the office is very friendly.

This place does not know how to run a shop mistakes constantly arguing all over the shop as a customer I am scared to bring my vehicle here

Mustang magic was great, took my 1989 mustang gt with 23k miles there. The car sat for a while so needed a good go through, they new exactly what to do and got my GT running like brand new! Thanks

Most amazing team of mechanics (even though I didn't use them but have several friends work with them I just am a baby about people working on my baby) and they have the best tuner in the game. They made my Stang from a decent beast to a straight street beast killer 512hp, 547tq, thank you sooooo much everyone.

I don't know this people but I ask to go look at a 88 mustang near the shop (I'm in israel) and give me a opinion they did but befor I gat his opinion he ask for money I told him this is not what we agreed on and he didn't look at the numbers like I ask he didn't try to start like I ask and yet I told him tell me what you think and I will pay never did long story short look like very professionals place very nice people for som reason did not work for me but positive that it's a good home for your mustang.

Went there for the first time to have my gears upgraded to 3.73s And let me tell you I was very impressed with the work performed. I actually spent all day there and the guys who work there couldn't of been nicer. The acceleration difference in my 97 Mustang is awesome my car is so much quicker. Thanks Mustang Magic. Will definitely bring my car there for now on. Highly Recommended.

Went to get my Mgw short throw installed early Saturday morning. Job was completed in a timely manner and professionally with no complaints. Definitely your #1 mustang shop to go to on Long island. Car now shifts amazingly and crisp compared to the oem shifter assembly. Hope to get a Mcleod clutch installed in the future.

I'm in Texas now but this place in Long Island New York is incredible they pulled 5 Dyno pulls on my 95 Mustang convertible 5.0 and increase the horsepower significantly over 340 ft lb of torque 25 1/2 miles a gallon at 80 miles an hour on cruise going back to do some head work this summer I'm going to drive to New York and have them work on my car I drove this car from New York to California Non-Stop at very high speeds and it ran like a champion

Awesome shop If you have the funds and you're in the market to customize or repair your Ford Mustang, this definitely is a shop to consider. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they will probably have a few cars on the lot to show you what they can do.

I've been patronizing Mustang Magic ever since my happenstance discovery of the establishment in 2017. My first encounter with this shoppe and Joe the proprietor began with an upgrade of my stock suspension setup to a Steeda build and Mickey Thompson tyres on my 2017 Mustang GT as per Joe's recomendation. That initial project catapulted a mutual relationship which has led within these last four years to the shoppe building the car with a whipple supercharger, custom tune, a full exhaust, clutch upgrade and a tremec t56 magnum xl swap. Today I brought the machine to them for a basic oil change and to install an MGW shifter for the t56 magnum xl. It is a challenge finding a high performance shoppe that you can trust. I truly appreciate their honesty, integrity and professionalism. I plan to continue to roll with Mustang Magic until either the day I die, they go out of business, or I lose my GT. No other shoppe can touch my vehicle but Mustang Magic hands down.

Joe and staff will see to it that you are 100% satisfied. I had a Borla S-type cat back installed on my 2016 GT convertible with the pesky extra bracing. They were able to retain the bracing and I couldn't be happier especially being car is still under warranty. Everyone there is nice and will go out of their way for you. Will definitely be back! 10 out of 10. Cant wait to have suspension upgrades done on my 02 GT once I have the wife's approval!

Called Mustang Magic the day before I could bring my car in with little hope of getting my car in the shop. They made space for me, fixed up my car which had been touched by 4 mechanics previously without fixing the issues at hand. They diagnosed my problem and tuned my car. It’s driving 1000* better now. If you own a Mustang, this place is magic.get Joe and his team working on your ride and you won’t be disappointed.

I bought my mustang back in may of 2020, and was told this is the best shop to bring it to! I've had a fair amount of work done to my car since I got it, and everytime the work that came back was awesome. I Had a problem arise right after getting one of my repairs done, and Mustang Magic took the car back in right away and fixed it for me without charging me again for a similar repair. Great Customer service. Always ask for Joe or LJ!

Awesome customer service. LJ worked to get my car sorted out until I was satisfied. Great group of people at that shop. If you have a mustang I highly recommend using them again. There’s no other place like mustang magic. I’ll be back again to have more work done on my 1998 mustang gt.

Took my 2014 ford mustang gt 6r80 for gear upgrade. Went from 3.15 to 3.31. Car drives totally different in a good way. Initially the diff was making a very loud noise while driving. I took it back they repaired issue. Car still makes a weird noise while driving they assured me that's its not an issue. I guess time will tell. Other than that staff are super friendly. Decent prices.
