We saw Brandon last week at the Saratoga Monro. He provided great service then. We can back this week to Malta, since he is the new manager at that branch. Great, quick service and cares for the customers

All my tires were hand loose and out of balance. The dealership was supposed to put bead weights in my heavy duty truck tires and they did not and this store got me in and out quick. Thank you!

Awesome fast service, checked out for other issues and nothing else needed, very happy with experience. Called an hour before closing and they still got me in that night

Dropped off my car to get front end alignment done after some work to the suspension, and they asked me a lot of questions that I have never been asked before. Stuff about why I didn't get the alignment done at the place I got the work done at, what work they did, where I had it done, those kinds of questions. That was a tad intrusive, but, thinking back on it this might have been a sign they actually cared more about the end result of having the work done properly.

Anyways, after playing Twenty Questions with the guy at the desk, I dropped off my car and went for a walk around the area for an hour. After which I returned to find my car moved and the work completed, and heck, the steering has never felt more on the straight and narrow. Tested by going down the road doing 40 and there was zero play, and I needed to make no corrections when going forward.

$139.00 in total (tax included) which I still think is a tad pricy for the work, since I was able to get one done for under $99 last year at an Adirondack Tire & Service. But we are in an inflation currently, so I'll take the stellar work and be on my way.

I don't often leave reviews, but my recent experience at this Monro location (7 Blacksmith Dr, Malta) didn't sit well with me. Getting unexpected car repairs is already a hassle, balancing a hectic work schedule and arranging alternative transportation, not to mention the financial setback.

I took my Honda Civic there to address a clunking noise from the right wheel, suspecting an issue with the tie rod. I left my car for the entire day only to receive a call stating the DRIVER'S side brake caliper was the issue and needed replacing. Despite having had it replaced just a month prior, I approved the repair which came out to a bill between $300-350. They refused to return my nearly new rotor, and "as icing on the cake" the original noise persisted post-service. When I called to follow-up the next day, I was met with a suggestion to revisit the shop at potentially more cost. I'll be taking my car to another repair shop.

We moved to Malta last year and I brought my car in to have my summer tires switched with winters. I have been back several times since and usually deal with Joe who is both personable and professional. It’s a very busy location so I recommend calling for an appt!

Quality jobs but they will definitely upsell you and tell you there is something wrong with your car when there really isn’t to try and squeeze every penny out of you. Be careful when going here and if you’re a female please have a male go with you.

Went in for an estimate to have work done for a19 year old vehicle with only 64,000 original miles on it. Finally heard back a week later with a ridiculous made up amount of $9000! All that needed to be done was a new/used gas tank needed to be put in and almost entire exhaust system. (Customer willing to pay to have this work done for a fair price.) Well, I looked on Rock Auto and they have all the parts. The gas tank is only $288. So, instead of just saying from day one that they did not want to work on the vehicle, they gave us the run around all week. I am appalled and disgusted by their behavior. They judged us and discriminated us because of the way our vehicle looked. It's hard work that they did not want to do. They only do easy work, like changing oil or a tire. So, if you do not have a new vehicle, do not go there. (I know for a fact that the estimate is ridiculous because my brother is a mechanic. He has brain cancer and cannot fix the vehicle. Otherwise, he would have.)

These guys are the best! Had a flat tire on a busy workday and they were able to get me in and back on the road within the hour. I highly highly recommend. The staff was very helpful, Knowledgeable and calm. I can’t thank them enough for their help on a very stressful day. Five stars all day every day

They worked quickly, and got me back on the road after a near emergency loss in tire pressure on the nearby highway. I was EARLY to work after stopping here!

I don't usually speak up unless service was totally unacceptable. I made an online appointment at 1030am on a Friday for a simple wheel alignment and a re-center of the steering wheel since it was askew. I was greeted fine, let the gentleman know I was going to wait for the service. After an hour, my car had not gone in. I inquired about it he said that only 1 mechanic had come to work and they were running behind but it would go in soon. I realized then that making an online appointment only puts you in line, they don't honor online appointments, just phone calls. So after another hour, car still had not gone in so I told him I would get an UBER and come back later. Finally around 7pm, 8.5 hours later, I get a call saying it was ready, but the station closes at 7pm as well. So I have to leave the car overnight and pick up in the morning, after another UBER ride and cost. Upon picking the vehicle up and leaving I noticed that they did not even do the recenter of the steering wheel. It is unacceptable for a mere wheel alignment to go through this hassle. And they didn't even do the work I asked for. I will not be going back.

I ran over a screw and needed my tires changed. These men were polite, helpful, and got the job done quickly for a great price. I will definitely recommend them to my friends in the area. I really appreciate the great service, thank you so much!

These guys are amazing, I brought my Jeep to these guys with multiple concerns because I had just bought it VERY used (16 yrs old) they did a full health check, and let me know what needed to be done to get it safe, they gave me great prices on works and threw me coupons whenever they could. Great communication and excellent work!

Went there for a simple Inspection, when I got my car back I noticed they snapped my front driver side lug nut completely off and didn’t even tell me about it and when I said something they took no responsibility. Dishonest and rude go somewhere else!

I have been to this store many times and they are always so reasonable, honest, and kind. Today I brought my car in as a couple weeks ago I switched my tires over to my snow tires and noticed one tire was leaking air. Since I had just had my car serviced at this shop they fixed the leak without any charge. I will continue to do my business here as they really are all about the customer. I have always been apprehensive when it comes time to get my car serviced due to added pressure and overall rudeness. This location was different. Joe and the rest of the crew were EXTREMELY kind and I, for once, felt comfortable within an auto repair/tire center. I will not only recommend, but will return for any other auto repair and/or service needs.

Took care of my rear brakes and calipers.
One of the calipers was hung and causing the pads to wear to early.
Professional and provided cost of service so I could decide how to proceed. I have used them before and have provide excellent service.

I’ve come here a couple times with car troubles and the service is absolutely phenomenal. As a young woman, I’ve had mechanics talk down to me and overcharge me, but these guys are so kind and helpful.

The work is good but they will say theres something else wrong with your car and recommend service that is not true so be careful of that

Had an extreamly dead battery. It was 13 yrs old. They installed qithin 15 mins. Very nice employees. Very satisfied

I was so delighted with my service I asked for the service people to find something else they could fix-then I talked about them for the rest of the day with my friends.

My husband and I were out for a “Sunday drive” to Saratoga Lake…it was just lovely. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a problem with the tire. They took it right in to check it, and discovered it was a rock stuck in the wheel! They removed it and refused to charge us for their time! Richard is a wonderful manager, and we appreciate his kindness & generosity! We highly recommend them! They are an example of true professionalism!

Was driving home from Saratoga to Watervliet and my tire went almost completely flat and needed to be plugged Had just enough air to get to the Monroe off exit 12 the 12 not only did the gentleman in the front desk do it right away And got it done super fast he then doesn't charge me for it what's completely Shocked me and appreciated it greatly thank you very much you guys are the best

This Monro shop (Malta, NY) has been consistently top notch. Very good service. Very clear communicators. Work is always excellent.

Great local shop! Today (6/26) went back to Monroe in Malta, same great service!

I brought my car in for an inspection. Not only did they have me in and out in 15 minutes but couldn’t have been more accommodating.

Great service, friendly and knowledgeable. They did a winter/summer tire swap. My car has different tire pressures between front and rear. Every other tire center has never got those pressure right and that includes the dealer. Oh yeah they are also the least expensive.

So, this is my third experience with this repair facility and I got to say less then seller.

I don't know if it stems from the advisers being unable to properly explain alignment angles and specifications or the technicians not knowing or being ignorant of the the rear to front camber, castor, toe rule when preforming and alignment. Not every vehicle just needs a toe and go.

I do understand that some shops have policies about certain jobs that may be dealership specific for special tools but it's seems that this shop ether either doesn't want to do in depth repairs or doesn't have the properly trained technicians on hand They will preform a A/C evac and recharge but but can't do a evaporator core as on some vehicles it requires a dashboard removal. They'll say it's a dealer only job due to the air bags and they aren't trained to remove air bags. Are they the shop and technicians) 609 clean air act certificated to even do A/C work at that point?

I'm sure if you need an only change or a tore rotation, you shouldn't have any issues.

Jeff and his crew are the best. They've fixed everything from a tire patch to steering rebuild for the fam. They also will tell you if you should bring it to the dealer or a specialist.

I really appreciate how quickly they got my car in for an unscheduled appointment. It was a Saturday and five other shops told me they couldn't look at it until Monday. They had no problems getting in and the guys there were doing everything they could to help me out. Would definitely bring my car back if needed.

We reached out to them with no notice on a Sunday morning and they were able to squeeze us in and get our son back on the road by 1 PM. Nice service!

We have been back a few times to this location and have had excellent customer service, Joey helped us on all occasions and is fair and honest with the pricing. He is extremely knowledgeable and even saved my Dad from having to do unnecessary repair. Thank You

Brought my sister there For a Tire swap to get existing tire off and Put Brand new Spare on, They scraped her Inspection stocker off without Discussing it with her Gave her An Estimate of $1500.00 for Brakes Rotors and 4 new tires She Just Had Brakes done And Has 4 Good tires Next time You guys want to RIP OFF A WOMAN ; Better understand They Have Brothers, & Husbands who Are Mechanically inclined and some who are Technicians Theirselves! Unbelievable

I made an appointment. Then arrived before the time. The then said just leave the car we'll get to it. I was on a schedule, and didn't have a rode bc they said it would be done in an hour on the phone. When there, they kept saying we have all bays full. But I made an appointment. Arg. They ended up getting it done after I called my husband to come rescue me.

Pleasant people to deal with. Difficult issue with leaking tire. Was able to diagnose the problem. Cleaned the tire bead and sealed it. Tire has been holding up well. Before I was putting air in it every week. Thanks again

The people are nice but I got my winter tires changed here and not a week later, the lug nuts fell off my tire as I was driving on the highway. Thankfully I was unharmed, but this was a dangerous mistake that could have been easily avoided.

Stopped at Monro at Malta, NY. Dropped my car as the wait was 1.5 hours.
The next I called them I was given a charge of $305 for fixing heater knob!

They never even authorized the charge from me. Never felt so cheated.

People are very helpful here. Fee is fair. The work was done in a timely manner. Will highly recommend

Made an appointment on 11/23/21 for winter tire installation for 11/27 noon. Went there 11/27 noon and the owner said there is no appointment in the system. I thought may be I called the wrong Monro. No apologies were offered and not even a simple sorry. Came home, checked my phone that I called the right place. Have been a customer for 10+ years but may be not long enough for a decent customer service.

Stopped into Monro in Malta NY for an alignment. I was getting some shaking under braking and at certain speeds and wanted to rule that out before replacing the front rotors. They were able to take the car in same day at 8: 30 AM to complete the alignment. They gave me a call promptly reporting what I had already feared that the shaking persisted under braking and rotors needed to be replaced. Not only were they able to give me a very competitive price but also able to complete in the next 2 hrs which was such a great help since we needed the car for a road trip the next day. I would definitely recommend this shop for service to you car. Thanks Monro for you incredible customer service!

Nice bunch of gentlemen. My vehicle drives great now. I had an intake valve, exhaust valve (from a check engine light being on) and resonator installed (from a "muffler" issue) - all for a state inspection. Dropped it off at 9: 30 a.m. Was checked in quickly after confirmation of what was needed and was back there by 4 p.m. When the call came in that it was all done. It cost a bit of money, but it could've been worse. I've been there before and I trust this place. Will do business again for sure!

Super quick and easy. Brought my car in for inspection and oil change and was done within the hour. Everyone was super nice and friendly!

Had a screw in my tire. The guys got me in and out in a bit over an hour. Totally happy to wait instead of having to come back another day. Did a patch not just a plug. It's been about 10 days and it has not lost a bit of air.

Super fair and honest business! Excellent pricing. Fantastic customer service. My car wouldn't start without a jump and the battery would not hold a charge. I called Monro on a Saturday afternoon and they told me to bring it in and they would look at it. They replaced the battery and had me up and running in a very short time. They were great!

They don't do a full service, I brought a diesel in at 10000 miles, they didn't check tire pressure, change fuel filters, ANYONE who has ever been around a diesel knows this is a regular interval for both. Zero communication, bad experience, hope I'm alone here

Service was excellent. System was down requiring me to go elsewhere for my inspection but oil change was quick and communicated was excellent.

I have an older car that has been having a slew of problems recently. I brought my car into these guys after hearing a strange noise and they were extremely helpful. I know nothing about cars, but two of them went out of their way to explain things and even suggested items I could purchase at other stores that would help me. They’re friendly, efficient, and seem to have a genuine care about their customers. Definitely a location I’ll be bringing my car back to.

I’m not a car person and am pretty clueless in general about car stuff so I’m always nervous dealing with new car places. They have the easiest online appointment system I’ve ever used. They added a coupon to my bill that I didn’t know existed. Super friendly, super fast, price was much less than I expected, easy peezy. I will absolutely continue to go here! Happy to have somewhere I can trust so close to home!

Having new tires put on my car. They are going to match Walmart quote for same tire they offered me at a slightly higher price. Excellent customer service!

Needed two tires put on late in the day, the guys at the shop were super helpful and got me in right before closing. Humongous thank you’s to these guys, saved my life!

We had an emergency and they let us come in 20 mins to close to fix the tires and they saved the day. If it weren’t for them we wouldn’t be able to get home or get to work tomorrow.

Steve, Paul, and jim and the crew was fantastic. They where fair and honest! I travel 30 miles just to come to this shop!

This place is horrible, and it's probably because of the people that how mange it and works there. I've been to many Monro auto that are not as bad.
Issues:
1) the place is a mess, their schedule is all over the place. I drop my car one day and they forget about it. I call them towards the end of the day, apparently they having not looked at it. Great!

2) very unprofessional, they brook the oil seal on my car's tank (you would think that it's the main thing that they do and should know better). Of course, they did not tell me, I found out when I took it to another place.

3) The staff have an attitude. Seems like they all don't like to work there, really unpleasant experience.

They were open on Sunday, big convenience for me. Had a small issue with my tire on my new car, got me in without an appointment. Price was very fair and work was completed quickly, friendly gentleman at the front counter, no complaints at all

Monro in Malta is great! Having had to deal with other shops while out of town we realize how lucky we are to have such an honest shop at home. The guys are Monro are friendly, professional and trusted.

Monro in Malta has been our trusted shop for years. Jim is exactly what you’d hope a shop manager would be and he has a great crew. They have serviced a wide range of vehicles for me - Domestic and Import alike. They are always very fair and courteous and they shoot straight. Joe, their district manager, is great too and he clearly trusts his team and has good hiring instincts!
