Mega Nail

This is the BEST, most reliable nail place I’ve ever been to. Found them about 16 months ago and they’ve helped me grow my nails from nothing. I work in hospitality and in the past, my nails would chip after a day or two. I get gel powder now, and they last 2-3 weeks and even then, it’s only because the length has grown out that I have to go back in. They are great with both being on time for appointments, and letting me run up when I call last minute. Mia is extremely patient, skilled, and has a high attention to detail. She remembers what you want from past visits, and is also extremely knowledgeable. I recommended a good friend to Mia and she goes now regularly as well. AMAZING local salon, great with spa pedicures too (especially after work!). Couldn’t recommend them and Mia enough.

Very mediocre job.
Mail Polish started peeling after 2 days.
Worst thing was I asked to leave 15% tip.
Then they shame me in front of everyone announcing out loud that because I pay by card they charge credit card taxes so my tip isn’t enough (Attn IRS…)
I said there’s no such thing as a credit card tax and please charge for the price of service plus the tip.
Again, the woman is yelling out loud, so how much tip do you want to leave her because you’re not leaving her enough tip because we are charging fees. I offer to Venmo etc they decline saying either cash or card and more tip.
By now I’m upset and I say I don’t want to leave any tip at all. It’s an ok service just charge me for the service and that’s it.
0 tip for being so rude.
Now what do they do? SAY OK THEN CHARGE ME FOR THE FIRST AMOUNT WHICH NOW I DIDNT APPROVE.
Basically stealing money.
So please pay attention to whatever they’re charging you.
I had a similar thing happening in a clinic in Beverly Hills where they showed me one amount then changed it when I wasn’t watching and charged me more.

I love this salon! I live in California but visit the city every few months and always make sure to stop in and get my nails done with Mia when I am there! I truly have never had such great quality work done on my nails and I have been to so many salons. Mia is incredible and is always so kind and welcoming. She is a perfectionist when it comes to nails but in the best way possible because she is also so efficient and does a great and thorough job! I truly never leave unsatisfied and I highly recommend mega nail to anyone! Also Mia is so hardworking and kind and deserves a raise!

Excellent salon—I got a dip manicure and they were extremely thorough and efficient. I’ve been disappointed by the salon I usually use in the UWS so will definitely be back to Mega and was glad to have found this spot.

Chaotic and not true to pricing. This is a new salon so they try to get you to come in with a 10% discount (which they don’t honor). Cora was the one who did my nails and she completely rushed the entire process to the point where I had to stop and ask her a few times to cut my cuticles, file the tips down etc which is ALWAYS part of the process of getting tips. Shouldn’t be extra. She seemed extremely annoyed and was aggressively throwing my hands down when she was finished it was extremely uncomfortable. At the end she charged $180 when the pricing reflected my services in total to be $125. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to anyone.

Mia is the all time best! She is not only so good at what she does, but has the kindest heart. She makes the overall experience so nice. The salon is so beautiful and clean, and staff is so friendly! Highly highly recommend going to Mia, you won't be disappointed!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I couldn't decide on a color and the technician helped me to find the perfect color! I'm a local and I will be back!

Mia did my manicure and did a fantastic job! My cuticles are meticulously trimmed. The grand opening discount of 20% was an added bonus.

Fiona is absolutely AWFUL! She doesn’t know what she’s doing and she’s slower than a turtle. Not someone you want working on customers especially with a grand opening. The shop is very beautiful and the other ladies are very nice. Unfortunately, you lost a potential client.

I live in the neighborhood and thought I would try it out. They offered a 10% discount as a grand opening, so I thought I would try it. It was not worth it. It was the first time I was ever cut while doing my cuticules. It bothered me for a couple of days since I use hand sanitizer daily and other alcohol based products. I even added an add-on, reg mani-pedi, with a stone leg massage. Not worth the money. I will stick with Classy Nails and Spa (across the stree) and SOJO on 52nd. They all run about the same price, MEGA was disappointing.

They kept accepting people when they were clearly understaffed making them stressed and that affects the quality of their work (very poor).
I had to tell the technician how to do everything because she failed to remove skin from my nails or even clean my toenails.
Disappointing and mediocre at best.

Wandered in as a walk in and had the best spa manicure from Cora. Definitely is my new go to manicure spot in midtown

All the employees are very friendly and straight forward, I love my nails so much they’re incredible I will definitely come back again, the price was really good! I will suggest you to check this place out, the prices and what you get it’s really worthy.

I’ve been to almost every nail salon in the neighborhood over many years and this one stands apart from the crowd. Very clean interior and tools and friendly staff. Mia has done my nails with SNS powder two times so far and they come out amazing and last so much longer than other powder gel manicures I’ve had in the past. Highly recommend!

The people at the salon were super friendly! They even closed late for us as we arrived 15 minutes before closing time. Highly recommend

Tldr great service, great quality, very skilled, fast, affordable and very clean

I rarely ever leave reviews, however, the service I received last night was amazing. I didn’t catch my tech’s name, but she was quite fast and gentle removing my gel manicure. In all, I got a gel removal, a gel manicure with cat eye and 2 extensions. The price was reasonable, I paid a little over half what I would pay at other salons I’ve been to, and for similar quality. Really looking forward to going back and trying the nail designs. I do, however, recommend getting an appointment since they do more elaborate designs than other salons in the neighborhood.

I made an appointment on the spot to get a manicure ten minute later. I showed up, looked through the color book. Then they told me someone left and came back and she was going to go before me. They asked me to wait 30 min. I would’ve never showed up. Then she offered me a $5 coupon when she saw how posed I was. Poor business etiquette. I’ll never come back!

Highly recommend, the salon just opened and is offering 20% off their pricing. I got SNS dip and Mia did a wonderful job. She was very kind. Salon is brand new and very clean. There were lots of SNS colors to pick from.
