We came for the cinnamon rolls and coffee but stayed for the curry chicken sandwich! Definitely the best item we had here. The salmon breakfast croissant was also good
I love mah-ze-dahr bakery and go to the midtown location almost every morning before work as my office is across the street. This morning I went to the Greenwich Avenue location to buy my usual latte. I ordered an extra-large hot latte (which I always get) and was very specific about wanting the extra large size. The woman taking my order asked twice. I paid for the latte and by mistake they made the smaller size. So I said that I had asked for the larger size. The barista then replied "You didn't pay for the larger size", and then made me pay the extra dollar and change, explaining to me that the larger size is $6 and change. I found this quite rude, as it was their mistake not mine. I asked for the extra large, they should have just added more milk and not bothered to charge me the extra dollar+. I'm giving 1 star today to the Greenwich location because they blamed their mistake on the customer.
Great local bakery with excellent pastries (the brownies are a favorite) and good drinks. The staff is always friendly and there is rarely a line. It’s better than other places nearby that have much longer lines.
Quite possibly the best bakery in Manhattan. The sandwiches are amazing. I love the turkey and cheese croissant and the curry chicken salad. The cream puff pastries are also delicious.
Mah-Ze-Dahr is one of those bakeries in New York you have to try once so I dropped in for a visit. The shop was clean, cozy, and inviting with a decent but not too large selection of pastries and cakes.
I ordered the vanilla bean brioche donut as the cashier mentioned it their top seller. It was indeed tasty, I appreciated the use of real vanilla in the filling and light donut batter.
Overall, staff here was nice and there was no line. The coffee is La Colombe which while I do like I wish they had something more unique and original to the shop itself.
Paid $5.17 for a cappuccino that’s not listed on menu. Small cup but nice flavor & aroma. Pastry selection is a bit limited. Looked like most customers came for the coffee. Cozy spot but unfortunately no restroom for an indoor cafe. There is also outdoor seating which appeared quite comfortable under shaded umbrellas. Service was quick with no wait…
The people who work here really make this place awesome. One request- please add some more flavored (caramel) and iced options. The vanilla is awesome but some variety never hurts:)
We were visiting NY for the week and twice we went here to try the cinnamon bun and it was sold out. It’s not like we went just before closing but we were told that apparently it sells out before 1pm and the bakery closes at 8pm
A bit pricey, which is expected for the area it’s located in. However that doesn’t matter when the sweets are delicious and unique. Their cold brew is great! I highly suggest trying the brioche donut and chocolate chip cookie from this cafe.
Mah-Ze-Dahr is fantastic. They have a great selection of treats and drinks. I went out of my way to go there this morning so I can have a little Friday treat after my lunch and grab one of their wonderful yogurt parfaits
I LOVE Mah-Ze-Dahr! Everything about it brings me joy. The quality and consistency of everything they make is incredible, and the staff is always so kind and upbeat– I feel so lucky to have a gem like this bakery in my neighborhood.
Extremely rude service, the "large" was actually a small. The drink was disgusting, and not filled to the brim. Do not waste your money here, go to the Starbucks on 55th if you want a good drink, along with good customer service.
The staff at the brookfield place site is very freindly & nice! Best customer service eva! Best cinnamon rolls, & chz cake eva! They dethroned Paris Baguette and Au Bon Pain in my book!
The place is fantastic ofcourse I love the chocolate Almond croissant and mushroom one but not happy with customer service at all I think they need to be retrained. This employee left my order on the counter when I was standing infron to grab and she continue talking with her coworkers.very sad
WOW! A pleasent discovery in Village. I walked -by this bakery so many times. I missed a lot. Food are delisious. Pastry above and beyond. Also they serve my favorite La Columbia coffee. My dear fan club members, add this place to your "Must to do/visit in lifetime list". You will never ever regret. Sit, eat, drink, enjoy.
Happened to stop by for coffee on a whim. They have a limited selection of pastries and slices of cakes that all look quite tempting. Got a slice of super moist carrot cake, with probably the best cream cheese icing ever. The cake and icing were not super sweet and heavy. Can't wait to try their crossiant. Keep up the good service.
Monkey bread is amazing - not too sweet. Claims to have one of the best cheese cakes in NYC, imo it's OK, more dense / creamy. Quiche is also delish here
Their bakery, they all delicious, I always stopping by the store 3 days a week and one of my favorite that I always got was banana bread and brownie and recently I had a chance to try their granola, it’s also delicious, I kept coming back more often because it’s running out so quickly for another refill bottle.
We have become regulars in just a few days! A tasty cup of coffee and a couple of pastries each day have been tremendous starts to our vacation days. Don’t miss this spot!
