Man says “We fix them, we don’t provide them, hospital needs to order more. ” Makes sense.

RN comes back, says. “We’ve got one machine so when the other patient is done, you’re next. ”

Sad story. This company makes billions.

Front desk was doing their thing, Martin was cool.so was Alex Liriano.
For the most part I was quiet, just observant to what’s going on.

Side note: why’s the visitor side bigger than emergency side? Had everyone in there like sardines God Bless America

Friday, Northwell Urgent Care insisted I go to hospital, my chest discomfort was acid reflux, they insisted it was my heart. I was placed in a cubicle next to a woman frequently vomiting. I wore my mask. They ran many costly tests, so that they can tell me my heart was fine. I have excellent insurance. My care was excessive yet excellent if not unnecessary. On Sunday I followed up with my primary who said he would have prescribed meds for acid reflux and sent me home to rest. I didn’t mention the vomiting woman I laid next to for hours. He gave me a flu shot. Monday, I was vomiting having caught whatever virus that woman had. The flu shot on top of the virus caused me to get very sick. It’s Friday I’m still home sick, under care of my doctor not affiliated with Northwell. All staff at the hospital are exceptional, caring and competent. Yet, maybe following guidelines from administration that should be changed. I got sick because I trusted that hospital. I feel as if I was manipulated to pad my insurance bill, and got very sick in the process. Sadly this wasn’t the first time, but definitely will be the last.

The visitor parking was bad.i had to pay $14 for 1 hour stay. $9 an hour and because it was 4 mins over the time i was charge for another hour.i will never go in that car park again.

I had a procedure done this morning in cardiology, and everyone was excellent. From the security to Dr. Goyfman. But the nurse, Yury, is the most caring, and wonderful person I've ever met. He took time out to explain and reassure me. I wish all nurses were like him.

This hospital has a lot of doctors and nurses who malpractice on their patients. After I gave birth, they allowed someone to visit without my consent and that person hurt my baby.

Amazing service. They worked quickly and explained everything. Our nurse was Belinda and she made my daughter feel safe.

Worst experience with this hospital. Stay away! I've been trying to get through to my father who has been there over a week and a half and haven't been able to get in touch with him nor his providers. I call and they say there's no patient with his name or they transfer me to maternity when he's 95 years old and male. I've worked with this hospital system in the past and they used to be good in the old days. Now it's like any other. Can't get any updates on his care- there's never anyone there according to the person answering the phones. Another sibling has been there in person and can't get answers on our father's health situation. They're just keeping him there billing like crazy and not providing any information about how long he will be there, what care he needs, etc. He even fell there and hurt himself even worse because they didn't have anyone knowledgeable enough to take the appropriate precautions and care for him. This is the worst health care system I've ever dealt with and I'm in the business.

I’m a retired doctor and I came in for ambulatory surgery. The hospital is immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. You couldn’t ask for a better surgical experience. Isabelle the preop nurse was skillful and the lovely to deal with. Even the transporter who brought me up to the OR was a pleasure. The postoperative nurse ANDREA,! Was terrific.made me laugh and finalized my postoperative care. The physical therapist was good, came up quickly and got me walking. Overall a great experience, I would definitely come back here for any future hospital based medical care. GOOD JOB! Matt Miller MD

The ER nurses and techs were great. Most docs were great, going above and beyond. Some nurses on 5 North though were such disappointment that all good experiences were negated. They straight up ignored their patients (even when they're in an emergency situation and pleading for help) AND visiting family members. Many nurses never washed their hands or used gloves (eg administering medications with bear hands after wiping urine off the floor), threw medications at patients (one nurse dropped all of them on the floor, picked them up with bear hands, and administered them straight from the floor. Patient asked what the meds are and she snapped back "Just eat! " And nearly shoved the meds down the patient's throat). I can go on about experiences like this. Working in a hospital myself, a lot of unethical things quietly happen on 5 North that decompensate patients

This hospital changed my dismal view of NY hospitals (ive been to flushing medical center n presbyterian). ER nurses are extremely busy but compassionate n competent. ER doc saw me within 2 hrs and let me know what was ti be done. The PCAs in the holding area were so sweet and warm to me. The nurses and docs on the surgical and med surg floor showed me kindness and compassion countless times. They helped me pull through one of the scariest and most traumatic events in my life, made my time in the ER as a nursing mother as comfortable as possible. Compared to the previous hospitals I've been to in queens, what makes this place stand out is that everyone who works there seems to have good relationships with each other, the energy is positive all around, that's a good sign!

Never ever go to this hospital. They will hold u there for 5hrs plus. Go to nyu or city hospital where they have fast service everytime I go there. I must have ran out of the FH hospital 6 times after waiting inside ER SITTING IN BED FOR SERVICE. I am warning you. Even Main Street hospital is bad. City hospitals are must faster. Multiple times I went for serious symptoms, just the thought of waiting for them made me run out 6x. I believe in natural remedies not doctors. If you want to avoid hospitals, eat vegetarian …….

The place is a small local hospital, with VERY basic immediate care. Doctors in the emergency room are polite, but the nurses & security guards are rude & seem to believe they have the most power. Since its cramped patients are put right next to each other, but the staff doesn't seem to care when patients are harassing other patients (elderly asian women next to my sister - the patient, started saying racial slurs such as "Mexican you dirty! Get away! ") even if it happens right in front of them.

Went there for detox. I didn't receive any medicine, no food or water. I had to drink water from the bathroom sink.

Whatever you do, do not give birth at forest hills hospital, my wife and I have ptsd from the way the labor and delivery room had treated her. With the exception of only 2 nurses, tge staff in the labor and delivery unit were horrible, unattentative and had a lack of respect for my wife. The post-partum rooms were nice and the staff was much better, however what was supposed to be a beautiful moment was a nightmare of a time.

I had both my babies there and man. I am telling you their maternity ward is one of the best! Especially the nurses, they are phenomenal

Excellent staff and professional, super fast emergency and assistance. If you do not have insurance, you go out with insurance.

Extremely friendly, caring, and welcoming. Patient care actually cares about you and they show empathy and compassion. My favourite is their breakfast. It's like ordering from IHOP. Their food is always fresh and their coffee is the best on the menu. Very clean and environmental aide is always available if you feel your room is dirty. Best hospital for labor and delivery too! Their is always a bed ready for you and their is no long waits to see a Nurse and a Doctor. This is by far the best hospital because you will feel safe.

Very good care by everyone. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I gave dr.the name and location of pharmacy so I can pick up meds and he sent the meds to a completely different pharmacy name 2 miles further. Pretty incompetent.

Nurses at 6 floor south the worst nurses, except two male ones, if you love your self or if you love your family, stay away from this hospital, btw my mom got also covid in the room a 90 years old, they have a covid patient with two elderly women, my mom and another 95 years old,

3 year ago I really have a bad experience with this hospital.recently I gave born and I had a totally different experience with this baby the room very clean and nice for for one patient you didn't have to Share with no one Privacy it was only for you the nurses very lovely and nice with myself and my baby ️

You have to believe this, the ER worst ever, not the doctors but the nurses, who just chatting (about her pay check/bonus) and not doing the job, where the doctor ask to do one task one of the nurse never do it and the doctor was so disappointed. 200% to skip this.

Worse experience ever! Never again. My daughter was brought there for high blood sugar and dka. 10 hours later had do go get her because her sugar was worse and her dka was really bad. Took her to Manhasset. I can’t believe they had patience in the ER, for 6 days waiting for a bed. But they would NOT transfer her to Manhasset, even though I called Manhasset and they were willing to take her.

The absolute worst ER in Queens. Do not go here. They treat patients as an assembly line, shuffling you in and out as fast as possible. Always seem to be understaffed. No care or concern for patients in pain, no bedside manner. I’ve experienced this far too many times with this place. Enough is enough. Go somewhere else for the care you deserve.

I gave it 2 stars just bcuz they treated me really good in post partum.i gave birth here on the 18th july.the experience I had I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. I was warned by 2,3 ppl not to deliver here.but I didn't have no choice cuz I went to their clinic for my prenatal apmts. I was ignored n neglected in active labor. I was told not to push when I was having the urge to push. I kept begging them that I need to push n the nurse kept telling me u can't n don't push or ill hurt myself or the baby just bcuz they were changing their shift.that was so unprofessional.like the patient comes 1st no matter what.on top of that my nurse came n yelled at me n disrespected me cuz my husband went to them 3 times asking for help. I will never recommend anyone to this hospital cuz what if something happened to me or the baby.u can't risk it with them.

I do not like going to the hospital.well who does.right? Anxiety and worry and all that other bad stuff starts to kicks in - super worrisome. However, it was very different here- I walked in a panic and was treated with dignity and care. Camille and Stuart at the emergency front desk were so kind and loving. My tension smooth over kickly as I was checked in and taken care in a fast efficient and most professional manner. My worries about waiting hours at the hospital seemed to melt away. From the desk to the doctors. I have nothing but good things to say. The doctors was caring and totally knew what they are doing (you pray for that). I live in Queens but this is and will always be the place that I go for fast and caring service. Thank you to all the staff!

Worst service ever. I took my 72 years old mother in law in the ER at 9: 30 am and then gave me a number to call them to contact with the Doctor or nurse to get update. It’s 5: 20pm and they didn’t have her any food and drink, she was starving. I called them in the number several times but just to connect with someone it took 45 minutes on hold on the line and when I got connected they say we don’t have any update yet to tell you about her. I went again in the front desk to ask and the lady sitting there started shouting on me saying that she can’t give me any information. I should call the number and get the update. I said I can’t get any info from the number and she replied she can’t help with anything, someone will call you. And I’m still waiting outside. No clue what to do? Don’t have any idea what kind of service is that? Worst hospital experience ever!

This place is amazing. I was in the ICU, and then on a medical floor for 10 days. The entire staff genuinely made me feel like I was in very good hands. The nurses were attentive, usually taking care of small things before I asked (such as a refill of my water pitcher, fresh gown, or a bedding change). And if I did have an urgent need, they were there within 2 minutes (if not less) of pushing the call button. The food was better than expected, and definitely want your typical "hospital" food. While I don't wish an extended hospital stay on anyone, if you have a choice of where to go.go to LIJ.

I am doing hand fracture surgery in this hospital. The doctors and nurses here are very patient and give me great spiritual comfort. It made me relieve the pain and pressure after the operation. The ward is very clean and the food is fresh and tasty. Thank you very much to all the staff here. You are the best.

If you can get Alice as a nurse, God has blessed you. I waited hours for a saline bag of water, and a pitcher of ice while waiting for Covid holding room for hours. The dr in emergency room, Nathaniel Atyalu, Tanesh Singh, Nerraj amalgam, Rishi who worked with nurse Alice, and dr on 4 South (Dr. Borochov are deserving of all stars. They started Covid treatment in lieu of sending me home. These are heroes! I was sent home previously after being isolated with covid positive patients to wait for Covid status. I am thankful for their care and medical professionalism. Although, it was busy, they performed as medical staff l was fortunate and blessed enough to be supervised by. Thank you!

Worked there for 4 years and was a PT twice. Excellent all around. World class organization. Radiology staff was extremely informative and pleasant. They even expedited a request for me as an inpatient to get scanned quicker without having to wait since surgery was emergent.

Sadly the phone operator is NOT functioning at all. Definitely not recommend. They need proper training for booking appointments.

Nurse Tamar (I hope I spelled that correctly) was amazing. The woman was juggling a three ring circus in our delivery room and she never skipped a beat Tamar was attentive and caring. She answered every question with patience and made my wife feel very comfortable If we had the means she would be our own private nurse. Thank you Tamar! We love you!

Came here for a knee replacement Waited 3 hours from 12: 30 Until 2: 50 I was told that I was going home that night but now I staying overnight because I have to see the therapist My wife has appointment tomorrow so she can’t pick me up What is so bad and is that no one told me that I was staying overnight I had to a sad k 3 times to eat something and had to ask for some medication for pain

Worst hospital, they don’t care about the patients. I took my 7 years old boy in the mid of night because of diarrhea and vomiting, they just give the IV fluids and nothing else, the problem is still there and the staff and doctor are not bothered by anything.

Dr. Tang is amazing. Kind and compassionate, Also another nurse, petite with long blonde hair was so kind and reassuring. While waiting for a Dr to come, I watched another Dr on his phone for one hour and talking to another man about a million dollar investment. Not sure if he was on a break but he was very unprofessional. He had a beard and with a very short haircut. Thank you again Dr. Tang. You are extremely dedicated. Dr. Tang gets 5 stars from me

This hospital is horrendous, BEWARE of the horror stories and stay far away. The ER is a joke they don't care for the patients came in with a fever of over 103 and a heart rate of 135, got seen by like 4 different Doctors in the 5 hours I was there and the last two just offered to send me home, they told me they couldn't do anything for me what a joke. Didn't bother to offer me a room on the floors.

My niece.she was admitted.going to have appendectomy surgery.she started acute pain in abdomen AND was diagnosed acute appendicitis.very good hospital.excellent

If you want to be bullied into having a c section come here. I have well controlled gestational diabetes, was trying for a VBAC (my first son was breech.the c section was a horrible experience). I thought my water broke, (false alarm) 11/8 is my due date was told by the attending that they would only offer a c section, nothing else. They kept telling me about the risks but could not give me a percentage of the risk. They based their medical advice on the risks but not my specific case. My baby is not large (7 lbs) he is position, 21 months has passed between deliveries (18 is the minimum for a Vbac) my sugars are well controlled. They tried to scare me by stressing me out and checking my sugar, it was 77. They sent a first day student to set up a nonstress test, he was having difficulty finding my babies heartbeat. I know my son is fine because though the student could not find his heartbeat he was moving. I was about to relent and accept the c section when I noticed that the non stress test wasn’t recording my baby’s heartbeat (the student asked the PA how to start recording and she told him that it would begin automatically. The attending stated that he would not let me go, so I asked him if he would restrain me. I will never go to any Northwell anything. If I could give zero stars I would!

Wonderful delivery room! Amazing staff. Medical staff does their best at making you feel comfortable. I had two babies here and if i had a third I would definitely come back. Food was also delicious and filling. My one complaint was the anesthesiologist. He had no bedside manners and was very rude to the nurse assisting him.

Great staff. Nurses were very helpful and understanding. They helped me very fast and professionally.

Terrible avoid. They contributed along with Fairview nursing home to my fathers death in 2013. Wrongful death and negligence. Go to Long Island Jewish Hospital in Manhasset.

All staff give me special care specially Dr sohra she was very caring and kind including nurse salin Mathew and Christin both r very helpful for me I was on bed 4

Worst ER visit ever. Took 6 hours to get an x ray and 5 min talk with the doctor. Highly chaotic and do not care about patients. I wouldn't recommend this place to any living soul.

This hospital is not African American friendly I have been here since 5: 12 pm the nurse didn’t come to aid me until 7: 46 pm and when a Jewish patient came in the doctor and the nurse seen her with in 10 mins of her arrival to attend to her needs.

Late physician who was a ghost. Laid there in Er for 8 hours with ruptured ovary cysts and blood lingering inside. With a ob/gyn unit I should have been admitted and not discharged (same day) until urinalysis came back as well. Instead, 2 days later I was called with results which revealed infection and bacteria. Cscan revealed more than just ovarian cysts. Even more of a reason to leave with a full plan of care and monitoring as inpatient. More attention given to a mental patient who was there the day before with alzheimers. Will not recommend to anyone in distress or emergency situation at all. The only team member who had the right work ethic and compassion was male nursing manager. Female nurse in my care could care less. She had too many patients on her watch. No pillow offering. No gown. Glad I wore a dress and no undergarments. Maybe if I hollered at the top of my lungs to display my pain staff would've took me serious.

Salin was excellent and caring. We loved how well her and the other staffs took care of my mother. She is now well?

Front desk clerk and triage nurse were nice, caring, efficient. Inside is a different story. Nurses go by. Not one doctor to be seen. Rooms are beds in a hallway with a curtain. Once patients next to me left, no one came to change the sheets or sanitize the beds. Worse than horrible.

Last night I took my 2 kids to the hospital and the service was amazing from the nurse Salin Mathew to the doctor and even the other staff members. Everyone was very accommodating and there to help me while my children got the best care 3am in the morning.
As mother of 3 it is refreshing to know that there are amazing people out there that do not care about religion, gender, ethnicity or any other difference that can separate us.

It was simple, I was in need of help and they helped me and my children. I really appreciate it and am forever indebted.

This is my 2nd time having a child but first time here to delivered my daughter in this hospital on june24/2021thursday.i would like to thanks all the staffs from inner core of my heartall the nurses doctors are so nice & friendly.they caring me & my baby alot & the rooms also net & clean. & the food was delicious. I gorget the name of two nurses who taking care of me alot like my parents thank you so much.

The staff at the maternity ward is very nice, but they are very understaffed.
I had my baby in May. I had gone there with contractions and asking for an epidural, was admitted at 2: 30am and didn't get it until 10: 30am! Throughout the labor I was told I was going to get checked in an hour, and I had to keep calling the nurses to get checked because 2+ hours had passed by.
If they would have had more staff working, things would have ran more smoothly and it would have been a better experience for me. Being this my first baby, not sure if I would like to deliver there again.

They need extra staff in this ER. They tried to discharge me while running fever with chills and elevated pressure. I had to asked for a COVID test which came back detected abnormal. Thank you for the lady that took me to get my CT scan. She was the only one that made me feel like I wasn’t forgotten.

Yesterday was by far the best ER experience I’ve ever had in my 36years. Everyone from triage until my discharge were so friendly, attentive & helpful. They all work quickly & efficiently. Even the radiologist came by a couple hours later to check on me. I highly recommend this hospital to everyone & their loved ones. Their compassion is unmatched. I love this team so much, I pray I can be a part of it. Im applying for available positions right after I post this review. Thank you to the amazing staff at LIJFH, especially RN Larissa! <3

I went to the ER Sunday morning with cellulitis in my eye. I waited 2 hours to be seen by an RN for 15 minutes and never once had any communication with a doctor except for what my name is. I ended up getting a very hefty medical bill despite not needing anything at all (bloodwork, tests, x-ray, etc.) I understand that this is the ER and it's expected to be costlier than a doctor's office or Urgent Care, but they will destroy you with bills if you don't have insurance, or if you have a high-deductible health insurance plan.
