While a beautiful salon, I think the salon is quite green. In this state of being new- I do find they make some rookie mistakes. While they do the job, it’s not exceptional for the cost. For example, at the end there were some bubbles in my gel manicure and they did not remove the previous acrylic entirely. Therefore the manicure looks a bit lumpy & not clean. My advice to those who visit is to go when it’s not a special occasion and if you’re willing to take the gamble. I do appreciate some additional services like a post manicure scrub. However here’s some suggestions:
-check the edges of the nail bed to see if the polish has spooled or is not entirely covering the nail.
-check in with the customer before proceeding through the steps to see if they are comfortable with the shape, color, and job done thus far

Overall, it was an ok experience. I think the most notable feeling I walked away with was that I was not the customer receiving a service. I felt pushed on certain colors even after I said no they still tried to encourage me to consider it. It’s worth giving them a shot as they are new and will develop & improve over time. Just be mindful.

I walked in cause my nail broke during my holiday. The salon is super cute and the girls are very kind, I was fastly served and the nail was fixed. I really liked the products they used on me (the tip extension).

She is super super talented and no I'm not ready to publicly share her (ha, ha) seriously, any of the beauticians who work here are very talented. Love the owner too, she is a bad boss babe, she does all the decor and upgrades on her own. Amazing location and staff! So friendly, kind & professional. I’ve gotten regular pedis twice and they’ve been phenomenal, lasting about a month which is unbelievable! My last visit I did my usual pedi and a gel manicure. I’m a week in and the gel is already chipping: (very disappointed. I do mostly desk work so not much wear and tear on the polish. I expected it to last longer.

Go see Nima she does phenomenal nails. I feel like such a diva. The product apres is so much better for the nails. They last longer and it’s a faster process. It’s a beautiful trendy spot and great energy inside.

This salon has been my go-to nail salon ever since I moved to Bushwick four years ago. The people who have worked on my nails are so kind and they do a creat job! Their new location on Dekalb is cute and much bigger than their last salon. Highly recommend a visit if you live in the area!

The place is cute, and the foot soak is fun. Unfortunately, they do not have a lot of options for non gel colors. I am giving it 3 stars because I payed $100 for a gel manicure that only lasted a week and the pedicure was already messed up on the same day. With the prices they charge you’d want better results.

Amazing! I literally booked so last minute and called them to confirm. The staff was super nice and said I can come even earlier. When I got there, the staff was very accommodating, respectful and super sweet! The salon is small yet intimate; I love the vibe. It's definitely chic and comfortable. I got the jelly pedi which was so dope! It felt soooooo good. My feet loved it. Prices are a bit high however it's definitely worth it. I would definitely go back.

I was looking forward to a mani/pedi here because it has great reviews. Unfortunately I was really disappointed with the service. The website was hard to navigate and I booked the wrong thing. I decided to skip my manicure and try to book it for another day. While leaving I realized my pedicure was messed up. I asked to have one toe filed a bit more, and it came out completely crooked!

Tsomo was my nail tech and she had a lot of attitude and was not accommodating.

Best pedicure in New York! They use amazing products and the pedicures last for literally months, I only ever have to get them redone when my nails get too long!

My favorite salon in NY! They always do such an incredible job and make you feel like a pampered queen and the color lasts sooooo long. I got my pedicure a month ago and it still looks fresh ‍️

Chhurim is amazing! Really detail oriented and meticulous with her work. I’ve now gotten a gel mani, regular mani, and a pedi from her, and all came out flawless. She also gives a really nice hand massage. I’ll keep going back!

I paid for gel nails and they chipped after a couple days. I watched the woman apply FOUR layers of gel that were extremely thin and you can see how thin it is. Not satisfied with the outcome.

I had a friend see my later in the day, she asked "thought you were getting a pedicure today? "

I asked for callus medicine, never received and nail tech barely pumiced my feet. All for $40

Third time coming in (the first 2 were good experiences) but this time the lady sliced my cuticle deep and my toe wouldn’t stop bleeding. She was careless and quick from the start but I didn’t expect her to cut me. It was incredibly painful and they didn’t seem to have any first aid or bandaids. Will not be coming back here again.

I got a gel manicure for $65 and it immediately started chipping within the next day. I went back to ask them if they can fix it and they only wanted to fix one or two nails, even though the entire manicure was poor quality. The place also seemed dirty. Not worth the price: (

Love this place! The girls in there are so sweet and gentle! Definetly going to come here every month for my pedicure. I love the jelly pedicure it’s so fun and relaxing. My nails look awesome

Great local spot. Easy to make an appointment. Dolkar is very sweet and does a lovely (& gentle!) job on my nails.

Do not be deterred by it's size, this spa has the professionalism, cleanliness, and care of any place in the city. My manicurist, Dolker, gave me the best pedicure I have ever had. My boyfriend also got his first mani-pedi here and was delighted by the nail technician's work. Will be coming back soon!

They moved since I last went but same incredible service. Worth every cent. Love my new BK girl lol i live in Queens #LifeWithJess p.s
My nails were horrendous, haven't had mani in over a month

Lydia just gave me one of the most painless (and thorough) bikini waxes I've ever gotten - 10/10! Also did a great job with my brows, which I usually get threaded - they were super overgrown and she gave them a pretty shape while keeping them nice and thick - and again, very gentle-handed. I'm so thrilled right now!

I have gone here for about 2 years, I worked in the area and loved the gel manis. I consistently came here for gel mani & reg pedis every month, and have always loved the work. All the techs are great, mostly quiet, but friendly. All was good until my last appointment late July. The salon was mostly empty, as they are taking GREAT covid measues. Then, the owner herself came in, with her mask on her chin, strike number 1. Number 2, she did not greet me, which I mean I guess we can look beyond, since I guess im not important, just a paying customer during a pandemic? She then began berating all the ladies about different things, loud enough so I could hear everything. She also mentioned to them “having a microwave is not a priority” which, if we all have bosses, and my boss said something like that, I am rolling my eyes. It was ALL super unprofessional, she needed to get a grip. Her behavior has completely turned me off and I truly hope her employees are treated / paid WELL. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to Local Honey as I do not feel confident employees are paid nor treated well.
