Gail did a full highlight on me and was super thorough and transparent. We talked through a lot of specifics before she started and she checked in a lot while she was blow drying to make sure I wasn’t feeling nervous or needing an adjustment. Best of all my hair came out exactly how I wanted it- she’s so talented.

I’ve been seeing Danielle for color and cuts for years! She is fantastic and her salon is a beautiful calming space. She only hires the best people - I’ve sent many friends and everyone loves the salon

I got a haircut and more recently hair coloring/bleaching done by Brittany and my hair turned out exactly like what I requested. She helped correct my grown out roots and change my hair color to a mushroom brown with dimension. She explained each step to me and was very detail oriented! Highly recommend

Had a great haircut and chat with Fionn! He took about two inches off and gave me a nice choppy layered look just below the shoulders. Was super quick and even styled it nicely with loose waves. Also gave helpful recommendations for hair treatments I could try next time. Wish I could make my hair look as nice as it did leaving the salon. I’ll just have to go back again:)

After a bad experience at a different salon, I was very pleased to have gotten my hair done by Ashley at Little Lion. She was friendly, caring and listened to me when I told her what I wanted. I’ve gotten so many compliments by others on my hair cut she did. The salon has a cool atmosphere and I love that they use vegan products. I will most definitely be going back in the future!

Fionn has been doing my hair for years and I truly only trust him. He knows exactly what I want (low maintenance, still looks good grown out but still makes my dirty blonde highlighted blonde and styled for someone who doesn’t spend a lot of time styling my hair) and adapts to his clients. I flew to New York after he relocated from out of state specifically for him to do my hair one weekend. Highly recommend!

I religiously go to see Gail, and she is truly incredible. She is THE queen of reds, and a true artist with hair. She’ll listen to what I’m looking for, providing advice if I need it and EVERY time she delivers. A wonderful person and artist, I only have amazing things to say about her and this salon. If you’re in need of maintenance or looking to mix it up, she’s the person to see and you will absolutely love the results!

I was looking for a new hairdresser i NYC and found Little Lion salon close to me. I love my haircut and styling by Ally. It's super easy to style at home and the gloss color was perfect! She was really friendly and easy to talk to about what I wanted. Overall a really great experience and I'm so happy I found a new salon so quickly!

I recently got my hair cut and highlighted with Ally and she totally transformed me! It had been a looong time since my last cut and my hair was in really bad shape. I barely needed to give Ally much instruction- she just knew what to do. This girl knows her stuff! I will definitely be returning for my next cut with her at Little Lion.

Wouldn’t recommend for cuts - I came back in for an adjustment after my hair cut was cut lopsided by a senior stylist the first time. Thinking it was fixed, I later got highlights at another salon, where the colorist pointed out that my hair was cut crooked in the back. Had to pay to get my third haircut in 2 weeks at a different salon that finally fixed it (and that cut was probably my best ever, so silver lining!)

But yeah wouldn’t recommend this salon. I’ve heard great things about color though!

Amazing cut! If you are thinking about going this salon DO IT and go see Fionn! I went to see Fionn at little lion and had the best experience! I have really long hair and am always a little worried about how much a stylist would take off but Fionn was so compassionate and supportive in explaining how much hair he needed to trim and why. I felt super secure knowing that he had demonstrated his expert advice and gave reasoning. He was a great conversationalist and maintained a relaxed and friendly vibe the whole time. We had an extensive conversation about my hair goals and how to achieve them (with and without products which was SO refreshing because a lot of stylist push their in-store products kind of disingenuously). He left me feeling brand new and I can’t wait to come back. Thanks Fionn!

Ashley from the Grand Street location completely elevated my hair in the most natural way! She took time to listen closely to my ideas then aligned those with a professional plan. I had went full platinum blonde/teal/pink 5 years ago and am understandably hesitant to dye my hair blonde again due to fear of breakage and uneven lifting. After a few years of playing with the idea of a full-head balayage with money pieces framing the face, I finally pulled the trigger and Ally Mammana made my inspiration a reality.

Ally is transparent and mindfully walks me through her thought process on each step. She is in tune with her clients and makes sure to ask you what you want, manages your expectations and gets you as close to what you are aiming for or better. It felt like just chatting with a friend. She made the 4-hour process an absolute breeze (granted I mostly sat there).

She was able to get me balayage-blonde while maintaining my hair’s integrity, and even suggested adding a brown at my roots to help blend it better. I appreciate her patience and attention to detail throughout. Ally asked me how I wanted to style my hair and curling my new blonde locks made me look and feel even more fabulous.

I have gotten lots of compliments so far on the new look and I haven’t been able to keep from checking myself out in the mirror. Thank you again Ally and cannot wait to check in for another session!

Highly recommend this salon and ASHLEY. Found this place from a recommendation from a friend who goes to a Fox & Jane Salon and this Little Lion was closest to my apartment. I loved that you could do a virtual consultation before making a whole appointment and you could pick your stylist from the bios on the site. Ashley is the MOST amazing! She is super down to earth and made me feel comfortable to be super honest and vulnerable from the moment we first connected. I haven't changed my hair in probably 20 years and had some pretty bad cuts (and color) recently. She cleaned up my cut, and made recommendations to evolve my color and I am truly in love with my new hair!

I sent my aunt a photo of my hair after getting it done here and she said “Looks like you found your forever hair person. ” She was so right. I will travel to the ends of the earth to get my hair done by Ally from here on out—she’s unmatched.
