Ron, the manager is cordial and attentive. The property is clean and managed well. This is my second storage space with Life Storage and I’ve also used Extra Space. I’ve had a great experience with the company.

The process to rent the storage space was quick and easy online. My space was available right away, and was clean and secure when I got there. A great experience!

Bad customer service with employees who aren’t the sharpest. The employees have a reputation of mixing up storage units and cutting locks to the wrong units.
They cut the lock on my unit (accidentally by mixing it up with someone else's) and left all of my property unsecured as my unit no longer had a lock. As you can imagine, this was extremely infuriating. I had them place a new lock and send me the keys. The new lock they placed was damaged. Had to go out of my way to purchase ANOTHER lock due to their mistakes. Attached are the pictures of the damaged lock they placed on my unit.
I complained. The following week I received a letter that they are bumping up my rates from $64 to $120. Yeah, forget this place.
Update: I called the number in the reply below and no change to my review. No one cares. The employees have no idea what they’re doing.

New owners have painted the storage doors. Great. Now let's get the electrical outlets fixed. If I get my electricity back, I would be willing to go up one more star.

I dealt with Ron. He was very knowledgeable and help me with all my questions. He was a pleasure to deal with.

Is this a Life Storage or an Extra Space Storage? It's still listed here as Life Storage and going through the website and reservation process still shows Life Storage. However, I've been told my unit is now a part of Extra Space Storage, and they will now be charging me $201/month ($121 previously) for a unit that says $72 on this website. There's been no further explanation of this increase (and not enough time to move it before being charged), and no one will return my messages. I wouldn't recommend renting here.

Awesome storage unit. One of the better places and i ended up getting a way too big unit and it was still affordable only 139,95$
Edit: They faked getting "acquired" to raise the bill on every unit by more than 50%. Too bad we didn't sign the new bill therefore we don't have to honor it.

I felt bad for the employee. There were three customers waiting and he was the only person working.
Each customer had to wait 30-40 minutes to be waited on. Two customers left due to the wait. They need more help.
Also the computer system was new and the employee wasn’t sure how to do a number of transactions.
The last thing I will mention is that after 4 months of having a 10 by 10 Life Storage raised my monthly fee from 155 to 220!

My all around rental experience at this location was great the customer service was awesome, fast, efficient and friendly, I will recommend to anyone who needs storage short or long term thanks life storage Cayuga location. Sincerely Teresa Ross

Chantelle was super helpful! She was super nice and got me set up very quickly. Great rates and flexible hours make it so easy to access my stuff at any time.
UPDATE: 6 months of storage and not a single hiccup! Smooth sailing every day. I no longer need the storage container so I called to close the account and Ron was super helpful and informed me on the termination process. Nothing to sign, just verbal confirmation and we're all set. 100% would use this location again! Very wonderful experience working with Life Storage!

Everybody at this life storage is AMAZING I've been storing stuff here for yearss! And have never had an issue. Would recommend this storage above all the rest. They plow in the winter aswell in case thats something of concern thanks again to the workers at cayuga life storage

Our storage unit has continual issues with the ceiling tiles falling in a couple of years ago, and now wasps nest forming on the door. But our products aren't outside at least.
