Great experience buying a CPO Lexus from Lexus of Smithtown! Carlos and their finance team were helpful throughout the process and found a way to help us leave with our new car the same day. Highly recommend.

I purchased a 2024 Lexus NX hybrid on October 3,2023 from Lexus of Smithtown for $62,160.76 ($2500 OVER MSRP). From the very first time I filled the car with gas, I noticed the gas gauge does not respond correctly. Sometimes the gas gauge goes to 3/4 when full; at others it does not respond at all or may respond two or three days later. At present the car is completely full of gas and registers as 3/4 fill. I have brought the car back to Lexus three times now, and they insist, “There are no abnormal conditions present with this vehicle. ”

I posted my problem on Lexus forums and received this response:

“Unable to repair" actually means "don't want to repair".
The NX service manual, which all dealers have access to online, provides a simple 3-step process to determine what component is at fault.
This is not rocket science; the NX fuel level measurement technology dates back to the 1930s, so more than 80 years old. Refer to attached image copied from the non-hybrid model manual.

After running the 3-step diagnostic, there will be one of these 3 repair options suggested:
1. Replace the fuel sender assembly;
2. Replace the instrument gauge cluster (called "combination meter" by Lexus) ;
3. Repair the wiring harness or connector (s) between the sender and gauge.

NONE of these solutions (which apparently are all quite involved) has been done.
I am a repeat customer of Lexus of Smithtown and have driven Lexus cars for many years. I could not be more disappointed with this dealership and with their lack in repairing this issue.

1/29/2024 - JUST FILLED THE CAR WITH GAS. RIGHT TO THE BRIM. CAN’T GET ANOTHER DROP IN! AS I DROVE OUT OF THE GAS STATION, THE GAS GAUGE WENT DOWN!

At a recent visit to Lexus of Smithtown my wife and I were overwhelmed with their helpfulness, especially their sales rep, Fahad. My wife had a mobility disability and Fahad and other members did everything they could to research and recommend accommodations for her. We highly recommend this dealership.

It was wonderful working with Carlos Rivero and Tim Burns They were extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and personable. Their authencity and care toward my needs was greatly appreciated. I felt very comfortable and they made the whole buying process stress free. I look forward to working with them again soon.

I went to change the license plates on my 2015 Lexus and the plastic black screws just broke off and screws broken in the holes which I could not get out. Although they do not rust its still a bad design being plastic. The screws should be stainless steel. I decided to go to the dealer for service and the service rep led me to believe I would be paying for new screws and drilling. I was frustrated but accepted it since it was 20 degrees outside and did not have time to go to the hardware store and find the right screws and a tool to remove the broken off screws. At that point I was vowing to myself never to buy another Lexus. I read the paper, had coffee while I waited, checked my email and in about 20 minutes they were done. To my surprise, I was relieved to see that they did not charge me and also washed my car as well. I want to thank them for doing the right thing and for their awesome service. They made my day. I will certainly visit them when I am ready to purchase my next car.

This is my 4th Lexus I have leased through this dealership through the years, and it was another pleasant experience! Samantha was our sales rep and she was outstanding at what she does. Very personable and was very attentive in finding exactly what we wanted. Absolutely no pressure and no games. We picked up our Car the next day and couldn’t be happier with it! I will be highly recommending this dealership to my friends and family.

I just picked up my car from Shawn Janusz the other day. BEST SALESPERSON EVER. While I was there Shawn had 3 other people there picking up their car at the same time. Shawn managed to put a Red Bow on each of the people’s car, with a smile on his face. Each one of them happy and Shawn went above and beyond running around for each and every client. The African American ladies up front are very unprofessional. Someone needs to give them extra training on how to deal with other minorities. People who come here have money to buy your cars. Show them a just a little more respect!

Great experience with the Smithtown Lexus dealership. If u have decided that Lexus is your car, go to them. Salesman (charles) was great to work with, knowledgeable, patient and understood what we wanted. The rest of staff was spectacular also. Also, after purchase of car, the tech individual that explained the vehicle gave the best overview of a vehicle we have ever had. I hope the service department will please us when the time come. I would rate this a 10 out of 10 buying experience.

We recently purchased a new car at Lexus of Smithtown and we were extremely happy and impressed with the whole process. Our salesman Charles Greene was so welcoming and professional. We were introduced to several other employees (managers etc) and they were equally courteous and professional. Upon delivery of our car our tech associate Victoria was great as well. She was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us. The entire process of buying the car went smooth and seamless. No surprises etc. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking to buy a car.

Tim was extremely helpful in helping to find the car we were looking for. He introduced us to Samantha who made the entire experience completely comfortable. She is knowledgeable and was able to answer every question and concern. We told her what we were looking for and she did not try to sway me in another direction. She was a breath of fresh air. Simply put - she’s amazing! Aaron was super pleasant to work with. There was no pressure when it came time to talk finances. He had a friendly demeanor, listened well and explained everything thoroughly with ease. Christian helped us to get technically savvy with the Lexus brand. He was patient and even shared his information with us incase we need further assistance. He made us feel like experts at the end of his tutorial.

This by far has been the best experience we’ve had at any dealership. Lexus of Smithtown made us feel like people rather than like “$” signs.

We’ve never met a group of such patient, easy going, caring people. Because of this team we were able to get our dream car plus much more. Lexus of Smithtown we thank you again for your help and making this experience memorable!

I had the best buying experience with Lexus of Smithtown. My special thanks for the outstanding service to Shawn Janusz, the salesman. He helped to find the exact car on my dream for an excellent price. No hidden fees, like many other places, I just paid $175 documentation charge. I can recommend this dealership and Shawn in particular to everyone without any doubts. Also have to mention Aaron and Christian who were very nice and helpful as well.

I just left Lexus if Smithtown with my new NX 300. I worked with Charles Greene who was a pleasure to deal with. I also dealt with Victoria. She acquainted me with all my cars features. The entire experience was professional and relaxed.
I will not hesitate to recommend this dealership and particularly Charles to anyone interested in a Lexus. I will definitely be back here when my lease is over.

This was our first experience with Lexus, and thanks to our sales associate Samantha Klaus our experience was second to none. Samantha was straight forward from the beginning, and kept us updated throughout the entire process. We look forward to doing business with her again in the future.

I love my pre owned LexusUX 250H purchased in May but I would STRONGLY discourage someone out of state from purchasing here and having them deal with registration/plates. I'm currently a NH resident and was told by Lexus that my license plates were delayed because the NH DMV was delayed. I called the dealer every couple months to check on my license plate status, it took on average 3 phone calls and 1 week until hearing back from anyone. When I did finally hear back from Vinny or Matt they were extremely rude and not helpful at all. Not once did I ever receive an apology. 6 MONTHS LATER, after driving with an expired registration and getting pulled over 3 times because of it, I dug a little deeper and it turned out my license plates were sitting at my local city hall for MONTHS because the DMV doesn't even deal with plates in NH. Lexus- if you're going to deal with out of state sales you should do your customers a favor and find out where those plates are actually going. You should also invest in customer service training.

Had the best experience purchasing my Nx300. Everyone was very attentive and helpful from the day I came in to test drive to the day I came in to finalize my purchase. I was helped by Rihyan and Phil during my purchase and Victoria was great at helping me navigate through all my features with the Suv. I would highly recommend coming here. It was a pleasure dealing with Ken and Victoria. I've leased my last 3 Lexus' from Smithtown. Ken, the salesman, makes the whole process very easy. Victoria, the tech person, explained the workings of the car. She is extremely knowledgeable and takes her time showing how to use the technology in the car. Lexus of Smithtown is a classy experience from the moment you walk in the door. You’re greeted as if you’re a welcomed guest instead of a customer. Our expert salesperson was Samantha Klaus. She is friendly, enthusiastic, genuinely loves her job and it shows. All this while not being pushy. Since this was our first experience with Lexus, Samantha answered our multiple questions with patience and her extensive knowledge was always evident. We followed up with a few calls asking additional questions and she always took our call immediately and made us feel like we were her only clients. She took the time and extra care. Overall, it was a top notice experience. The dealership was super cooperative, amenable and Samantha Klaus made it that much better!

My wife and I picked up our new 2021 RX350 last Saturday and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire sales experience and the great technical support that we received explaining the operation of all the features and technology.
This was the 6th Lexus that we have leased from Lexus of Smithtown.
The sales team that handled our sale was Bob Rossworn with support by Shawn Janusz and the tech support was handled by Fahad Tariq.
Everyone that we have dealt with was extremely professional!

We looked and searched the internet for a salesperson with great reviews and came across Charles Greene at Lexus of Smithtown. He was so patient and very knowledgeable about the GX460. We are so happy we went to visit Charles and the whole staff. When we came back to pick up the car we met Fahed our technology Specialist and he show us all the great features the car has. Christian was so patient and knowledgeable showing me all the technical settings on my first Lexus even when I hit something wrong or he had to start over he just laughed with us and started over again. He also said to call him if I get stuck and can’t remember how to program something and I truly would feel comfortable if I find myself lost in technology.
Thank you Christian, Samantha and Aaron for making my first Lexus experience a positive one. The car is beautiful and I’m very happy with it.

I want to start off by saying we are 30 year Lexus customers so we are very familiar with the brand and type of service offered from sale to repair. NEVER have I seen a more disinterested sales person in my life, didn't even ask us to sit down while discussing price. I would love to hear back from a sales manager or gm, as none were available when asking to speak to one in person. We will not be spending our money here and I suggest you do the same.

Lexus of Smithtown is the place you need to go and get your Lexus. The recommendation is to get the appointment before go, we went without one and waited more than expected, but Sheetal Navi was our sales assistant/rep and was highly professional, friendly, and kind.
She helped us with each step in the process and went beyond her professional duties to make sure we are comfortable with the deal, and got us all the best options she could.
