I was in the worst situation ever, I had somebody file a false police report against me and was dealing with extremely unprofessional ADA’s. I was arrested, held in prison for 15 hours, and despite lack of evidence the ADA’s would not budge after meeting with me and wanted me to plea to misdemeanor over something I did not even do. My lawyer at the time wanted me to just plea and accept it, he had spoken to the ADA’s for hours and they would not budge. After desperate attempts, they decided to offer me to plea to a violation that would seal after a year. Even though many people would’ve given up and taken it, I decided to take one last chance and find another lawyer to represent me.

I decided to plead not guilty and attained Julie as my lawyer, I was extremely inconsolable and anxiety ridden and probably very difficult to work with at the beginning but Julie was extremely patient and affirming with me. She had a strategy and also spoke of the way in which she would’ve handled the initial arrest. She tried a strategy and the prosecutor was still being resistant and she never deviated from being calm and professional and seemed confident in her abilities. For the first time I felt I knew that everything would work out.

Julie is very professional, put together, and well liked. You can see even when she enters the courtroom that she is respected and has positive relationships with members of the court. She is very pleasant but simultaneously does not give off the aura of someone to mess with, which is why I think this case ended up working out.

A few months later, the case is completely dismissed. Which I never thought would’ve happened. I had almost lost faith in lawyers and the system in general at that point. She is a great lawyer and I highly recommend. She does not fall for intimidation tactics and she is all about facts and evidence. I remember I saw a quote of hers somewhere that stressed how important it is to dot you i’s and cross your t’s as a lawyer and I think that represents her very well.

What I find pretty hilarious is the fact that the case was completely dismissed, when at first the prosecutors told Julie they would not do an ACD (six months dismissal).

I am so grateful and relieved and greatly look up to her.

What can I say, Julie is the crème de La crème. She took my brother’s case with no hesitation and was on top of everything along with fellow lawyer Kathy. This was a tough grand larceny felony case in the second degree and she was able to get us an amazing outcome with no jail time and criminal record.
