We cannot thank Gabi enough for helping our daughter Mercedes find the two perfect dresses for her wedding day. Gabi made our daughter feel like a true queen and made her look like the bride she wanted to look like. Gabi made the process easy and stress free, but most important she gave my daughter and I as a mom, that true unforgettable moment that we found her wedding dress moment. I have to give a major shoutout to my consultant Hope for helping me find the dress of my dreams. Kleinfeld was the first shop I visited in my wedding gown search, and I was feeling nervous going into my appointment and wasn't entirely sure what style of dress I wanted. While I was very excited to shop at the store that I grew up watching on TV, the atmosphere was pretty overwhelming with many other brides-who all shared my same nervous/excited energy-all there at the same time for appointments.

My consultant Hope made me feel so at ease even amidst the chaos. She was attentive to my preferences and presented me with gorgeous dresses that suited my style but still honored my budget. At the end of my appointment, I wanted to take some time to think about and explore my options. Hope kept an open line of communication with me between appointments and was available to answer my questions.

A few weeks later, I returned for a second appointment to try on my top two picks. Hope was so patient with me while I bounced back and forth between the two dresses, both of which I absolutely adored. It felt like she was both my guiding coach and my supportive cheerleader throughout the entire process. Being the indecisive Libra that I am, even at the end of the second appointment I wasn't 100% ready to say yes to the dress. I asked Hope if I could sleep on it and get back to her the next day. I just wanted to be absolutely sure before making this big decision. Sure enough, the next day I was certain that I had found my dream dress. I reached out to Hope and I sealed the deal!

I don't think I would have had as great as a wedding dress shopping experience as I did if it weren't for Hope. I never once felt pressured or rushed. I felt that my wants and needs were listened to and taken into consideration each step of the way. Thank you, Kleinfeld Bridal, and most of all, THANK YOU, HOPE!

I used Kleinfeld for my wedding dress & alterations on 9/2/23. Initially, I went there for to try on dresses in June 2022 with no expectation of finding the "one" but I did. I had 3 appointments trying on my dress and getting alterations done. The dress was gorgeous and fit amazing. I also bought a getting ready outfit for the morning of the wedding and it was perfect as well. Even if you do not find the "one", I highly suggest going for the experience of being there and the staff makes dress shopping less dreadful.

I had the best most care free experience here. Lisa was my consultant and she was so supportive and amazing. The whole experience was amazing. I felt like a princess in a dream. I got the dress of my dreams and meet the most amazing people. I’m so glad Lisa understood want I wanted and picked a dress I never knew was my dream dress. Everyone was so nice and helpful I have the only the best things to say about Lisa, Ronnie, and everyone at Kleinfelds!

Gabi was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable and is an excellent listener. She was so attentive to the feedback I was giving about each dress and we quickly found the perfect dress. This was my first time trying on dresses and because of Gabi it went so smoothly! I had a lot of anxiety around dress shopping and she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Gabi is really patient and I really felt like there was no rush. She was also really accommodating of not taking me through the floor and closing the door when we showed dresses to my party. I can't say enough good things about her.

It was always a dream of mine to go to Kleinfeld and the experience did not disappoint! I was so fortunate to have Brooke as my consultant. From the second she introduced herself, the appointment was instantly off to the most positive start. She took the time to listen to me, did not pressure me into trying anything on, and never made us feel rushed. She also knew exactly how to understand what I was describing that I liked and did not like and made the most helpful recommendations. I’m so excited that I got to say yes to the dress at Kleinfeld and truly could not have done it without Brooke’s help!

I purchased my wedding dress from this store and I am absolutely in love with it. Although I went over budget, the dress was worth the extra cost. The store itself is stunning. Find other additional fun bride clothing for sale too.

I had the most amazing time at Kleinfeld. This was my first time dress shopping. Michelle was my consultant and she went above and beyond for me. Right away she welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable. She knew what my dream dress looked like before I did. I walked in with idea, but didn’t know if my dream dress existed. Michelle was so attentive to all my details and she found my dream dress and veil. I told her what kind of veil I wanted and right away she found the exact veil I had in mind. I highly recommend having Michelle as a a consultant. She is so friendly, understanding, and kind. I wanted to get my dress from kleinfeld ever since I was a little girl watching say yes to the dress. I’m so beyond happy with my experience and so happy with all the memories I made today. I bought my dream dress and beautiful veil. Thank you for giving me the most amazing experience!

I grew up watching the show “Say Yes To The Dress” on TV and the experience I received was so disappointing. I think I would’ve had a better experience at a local salon back home to be honest. I felt rushed through the process. I didn’t feel “special”, I felt like a number and felt like my stylist was just going through the motions because she had to. The dressing room carpet was dirty as well. Although I did find a dress which was absolutely beautiful, it was ordered too small for me so I had to pay an additional $1,000 for alterations. Which is literally crazy because I’m tiny to begin with.

I wasn’t allowed to go look around the store or pick dresses off the rack either. I see in other reviews people got to be in that center area and I never even got to see it. My dressing room was off to the side. I didn’t even get to see much of the store. I did receive military discount which I was really excited that they offered.

It just really sucks. Just don’t go in there with these high expectations. Then maybe you won’t be disappointed like I was. You’ll find a dress you love more than likely, it’s just the experience of the appointment just won’t be what you expect it to be.

I’ll be honest and say I didn’t have the highest expectations of this store - thought the show perhaps made it gimmicky, and previously visited with a friend who had a fine but just okay experience.

Wow they have either stepped it up or my friend had a one off years ago. Gabi was an absolutely incredible stylist who was so fun and easy to work with. She was professional and clearly did her homework from my pre-appointment assessment and was so incredibly good at reading the energy of myself and my guests. She really listened to me and pulled dresses I never would have pulled myself and was also so good at ‘managing’ me for my first ever bridal appointment. She immediately followed up our appt with my favorites and if I come back to kleinfeld I will absolutely exclusively make my appointment with her. Thank you Gabi!

I also want to note the pure operations behind the appt were also impressive. The store opens at 9: 30 (my appt time) and it was totally packed to the gills. I checked in at 9: 25 (behind a HUGE line of brides) and was still in a room by 9: 33. In 90 minutes she probably pulled over 14 dresses for me, I tried on 9 and I walked out in 7! Insanely productive. It was so incredibly efficient and felt like I got a lot of value out of the time.

Words cannot express how wonderful a time I had shopping at Kleinfeld. I had the privilege of working with Michelle, who was absolutely fantastic. This was my first time shopping for my dress and while I was excited, I was also innately nervous. The second I met Michelle, all of my nerves disappeared. Immediately, she made me feel comfortable! Prior to my appointment, I sent her a few dresses I liked. When I arrived at the shop, the dresses were already pulled and waiting for me in the dressing room. Additionally, Michelle had other dresses picked out based on the pictures I sent her. Michelle provided me with a variety of dress options to ensure that when I said, “yes to the dress, ” there would be no doubt! She was extremely attentive not only to me, but my 3 guests (my mom, my sister, and future mother in law). Additionally, she paid attention to my needs, while carefully balancing the dress opinions of my guests. Michelle took my appointment at Kleinfeld to the next level with her warmth, kindness, positive energy, attention to detail, and overall demeanor. I could not have asked for a better stylist to help me “say yes to the dress. ” I did not just pick out my wedding dress; I also made an invaluable friend in Michelle and I will be forever grateful to her for making my trip to Kleinfeld so memorable for all the right reasons!

I had the most amazing experience looking for/buying my wedding dress from Kleinfelds. If you are able to, I highly recommend the platinum VIP appointment. With this it gave me the intimacy with my guests without having to show the whole store every dress. We also had champagne waiting for us in the suite. Lastly, I can not express how amazing Krissy was during my whole appointment. She truly made the experience at Kleinfeld a dream come true.

I had been warned before by other NYC brides that the experience at Kleinfeld isn’t fantastic or what the show makes it out to be. After going myself this past weekend, I totally agree. My consultant had me tell her which dresses to pull from my research before hand, I gave her two. I explained what I was looking for which seemed very reasonable classic, modern, silkier fabrics with a fit and flare. She pulled two of her own choices one of which was definitely a wild card which I declined to try on (it was not a classic gown and was very very revealing). The only other one she pulled for me on her own was a dress she said was “slightly” over budget. Slightly to me meant somewhere in the $500-$1k range. I put the dress on and I love it, I walk out to the pedestal to my family and they love it. She then finally tells me its $3k more than my budget which is a lot more than slightly. They offered me a 10% discount and continuously pushed and pushed and pushed for me to say yes to the dress. They really didn’t want to take my I need a minute to think as an answer. We decided to leave and get lunch to think on it more. Even with the discount offer after you factor in NYC sales tax, the $995 alterations they offer and the price of a veil the dress would’ve been almost DOUBLE my original budget which is so far from slightly that it’s hard to even make sense of it. I just feel like I did all of the work by picking the two gowns in my budget and in the style that I wanted and can’t believe the only other dress I tried on was not even an option from the start with just how over budget it was. On top of it all, I know Kleinfeld’s is an extremely popular destination place but it felt like a factory, very impersonal and was cold overall. As someone who has watched the show throughout my life it was still an experience I’m glad I had but I wish my emotions and financial well-being were not put to the test during my appointment. I am happy to report that I said yes elsewhere I went somewhere and I felt heard, supported and was able to stay under budget! (Luke at Sarah Seven is a Godsend, go visit him!)

Title: A Mix of Great Sales Consultant and Terrible Alterations Department

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my sister’s recent experience to help future brides. The sales consultant we worked with was fantastic - knowledgeable and helpful. However, our visit to the alterations department left us deeply disappointed and shaken.

My sister was excited about her decoy alteration appointment. She wanted to achieve a rounded sweetheart top style on her dress, and at the time of purchase, she was assured this was feasible. However, when we pointed out the discrepancy during the fitting, things took a distressing turn. The staff member in alterations responded with hostility, insisting that the pointy style was intentional and asked if my sister had tried the dress on before purchase. This was both unprofessional and upsetting.

After my sister explained that the corset was uncomfortable and digging into her armpits, the staff member aggressively undid the stitches and pinned it down to achieve the desired style. It was evident that this adjustment could be made swiftly. However, the staff member’s demeanor was extremely unpleasant, and she left the fitting room in a huff.

My sister was left in tears, and I had to seek out the manager. We requested to finish the alterations with another staff member, fearing further issues. During this time, the same staff member stormed back in, claiming to be “scared” and pulling the curtains closed aggressively before leaving once more.

Our experience at the alterations department was nothing short of horrific. While the sales consultant provided excellent service, the alterations department needs a significant improvement in terms of professionalism and customer service. No one should leave a fitting appointment feeling shaken and upset.

I sincerely hope that future customers have a better experience, and that the alterations department can learn from these incidents to provide a more welcoming and accommodating atmosphere.
After this experience I wouldn’t recommend this place unfortunately.

I’m really not one to write reviews, but on a whim I went to the sample sale, expecting nothing. My consultant Chloe hyped me up, was honest and so supportive towards me, and all around was so sweet. She was having other consultants come into my room to also hype me up and it truly made me feel special. Not once did I feel rushed or overwhelmed! I chose a dress completely opposite to what I came in for but said yes to the dress! All around an amazing experience

I had two visits with Krissy who was absolutely wonderful and then a sample sale visit with Steven who was also super great. Krissy actually found a cancellation dress for me on Sunday that I was able to buy at sample sale today because of her hard work and diligence and also Steven's. There is no better shopping experience than Kleinfelds - everybody is so nice and you never feel rushed. The accessories specialists are so helpful. Today I got two dresses - for ceremony and reception - and a veil thanks to the help from both Krissy and Steven and several accessories specialists. Everybody works so hard to make sure you find the right dress and it is such a great experience. Would recommend Kleinfeld's to anyone. Also my mom got to meet Randy on Sunday and she was so happy so thanks for making my mom happy. Will look into Kleinfelds Hotel Blocks in the next week or so which is another great service they offer.

I had an amazing experience at Kleinfelds! Chloe was so so sweet, personable and helpful. She went out of her way to make my day special and brought out amazing selections. She did not try to push me out of my budget. Lots of other friendly girls came and helped too. Thank you for making my dress shopping experience so special! I happily said yes!

I truly had such an amazing experience. After reading negative reviews, I was for certain I was only going to Kleinfeld's for the *experience*. Little did I know, I had the best experience, had a wonderful and knowledgeable attendant & said yes to the dress! I don't suggest coming here for your first dress shopping experience. I also came during the week mid-day which may have given a different less rushed experience. I had come to Kleinfelds as a 3rd place and knew a general idea what I was looking for. This helped my attendant narrow what I was looking for and she actually pulled my dress 1st. I cannot say enough good things! My sister-in-law actually came and found her dress about a year later here! We both loved the experience. Couldn't recommend enough!

From reading other reviews, it seems that lots of brides have a great experience here. Unfortunately, my experience was terrible.

My mom and I had travelled in, like so many other people do, from out of state and were so excited to find my wedding dress. I had already tried on dresses from other boutiques and felt ready to buy.

Our stylist thought we were from NYC so she seemed upbeat at first but when she found out we were not, her tone changed completely.

She asked what styles I liked so I showed her a couple of pictures. She only brought in 1 dress at a time (for a grand total of 3 dresses). I had to specifically ask for her to for 2 additional dresses be brought in because she was ready to end our appointment.

I’m unsure if it was my budget ($3500) or my body or the fact that we were from out of town but it was obvious that she had written us off pretty quickly. Our appointment ended 30 minutes early.

All of the dresses I tried on were dirty and/or damaged, which makes it hard to imagine what it will truly look like.

We were out in a private room. It was nice to have privacy but the room itself was kind of dingy.

Everyone I came into contact with felt very “over it” and not engaged in what they were doing. I totally understand that their jobs and industry overall is challenging. But, they do not make brides feel welcome or comfortable. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Kleinfeld’s to anyone and I am disappointed with the experience my mom and I had.

The buying process was lovely and I had a great experience with Candance that day. That's where everything good ends. For starters, I ordered and paid for my dress on March 24,2022. I was notified that it had come into Klenfield on March 20,2023. My wedding was July 8,2023. I paid around $1,000 for what I was told were as many alterations appointments I needed in order for the dress to fit perfectly. My first fitting was fine. When I went in for the second fitting the dress was still falling off of me. A manager came to ask me if I had lost weight. I hadn't. Nothing was done to the dress since the first fitting. So the alterations person pinned it again. When I came for my 3rd fitting (which was supposed to be my final fitting) once again the dress had to be taken in a ton and I was told, because the dress was STILL falling off, that I had to have straps added. I didn't want straps in the first place. They then tried to CHARGE ME for the straps they were adding because they couldn't fit my dress properly. I finally got over the straps and picked up the dress. I was told I couldn't try it on or take it out of the bag until the day before the wedding. To which I responded, "What if it still doesn't fit? " And sure enough, on the day, it still didn't fit AND the straps that I didn't want broke during my ceremony. I spent my entire wedding pulling my dress up. I still cry about how awful I felt in the dress that day and about all of the photos I have of my straps peeking out of my dress or clearly just broken.

Went to Kleinfeld Bridal in NYC about a year ago. My family and I had a wonderful experience the day of and I found my DREAM wedding dress. Unfortunately, since that date it’s be less than the best, I got my dress in later than expected (which can happen) but upon arrival my dress has a malfunction. I have tried for over 2 weeks to contact and get ahold of someone since I am now having to pay my Steamstress EXTRA to fix this mistake. I have emailed, left voicemails, been transferred multiple times over the last few weeks and no response…. Nothing at all. Loved my experience at Kleinfeld Bridal but unfortunately the lack of customer service has been a huge turn off to recommend this bridal store to future brides.

Update:
The malfunction on my dress is that the zipper is fully exposed. My Steamstress is having to take the zipper out and “hide” it (redoing all the buttons and beading) Most dresses come with the zipper being hidden. When I finally received a phone call from Kleinfeld (2 weeks later), the customer service representative informed me that “all dresses require alternations” upon expression of my disappointment and dissatisfaction with this, she continued to say that there was nothing to do and that she would consult her Steamstress…. With it being the weekend she was able to discuss this with her manager. They stated that my dress was ordered the same size as it had been when I tried it on a year ago and that the dress is now “too tight” so the zipper is pulling. I informed her that it is actually “too big” and I’m having it taken it. They then explained that this “zipper being exposed” is a “common thing” with this designer and that my Steamstress shouldn’t be charging me fees and rush fees to fix it (since it’s less than 6 weeks from my wedding when my dress came in). I continued to explain my frustration and disappointment in not knowing this upon purchasing this dress a year ago and them not offering a solution. She continued to state that there was nothing to do and they will not be offering any support/support in the fees since I’m now paying to fix my wedding dress. After this; I can fully say my experience at kleinfelds was not good. I am disappointed in the customer service I was provided, the solutions that were given and the outcome of my experience with this bridal company. Going forward I will most definitely have a hard time vouching for this company and their services.
